We could totally go for a new Afrika right about now. Going on Safari, expensive Nikon in hand, may have been an acquired taste on the PlayStation 3 – but it was something wholly different in an industry dominated by shooters and sidescrollers. Natsuiro High School, an open world photography game from D3 Publisher, has potential, then – well, until it gets all creepy.
This trailer introduces the game's island setting of Yumegashima, where you'll be riding your bike, fishing, and meeting girls. And when you're not doing any of those things, you'll be, er, conspicuously crawling across the floor searching for that ultimate upskirt shot. Sigh, why couldn't we just get a new Boku no Natsuyasumi instead?

So ridiculous it made me laugh!
Wow what is going on has the world gone mad? How can this be a game I don't know if I should laugh or be angry.
If Kojima does it it's art....
Isn't that supposed to be abuse? In my country that type of content would be illegal.
After watching the trailer with english captions, i'm sort of interested in this game. It looks like there's more to it than just taking pictures of random boobs and underthings. Is a western release coming?
Go directly to jail. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200.
Oh, Japan...
LOL
Dat ground back crawling doe.
Maybe just don't play it then?
Sigh
Taking a picture of a girl's undergarments = shocking, disgusting and outrageous.
Killing 1000's of enemies in a simulation of war = good ol' fun.
I'm not saying these creepy games don't bother me or give me cause for concern (considering it's an actual problem in Japan) but it's interesting how we can tolerate and enjoy uber-violence yet be appalled by some dodgy photography.
Sometimes I think some folk consider a bit of ecchi to be literally Hitler.
There are some things that don't need to exist, and there are things that really don't need to exist. This game goes to the later.
Lmfao Sexual harassment is punishable in real life, so let's make a game where you can do it. At least this should lower crimes, to some degree. I can respect them for that.
Well... Erm... Be some interesting #PS4share tweets when this releases.
I'm totally gonna pick this up.
@ElkinFencer10 I have asked you several times now to please watch the language, next time I won't ask. So please watch the language. -Tasuki-
looks like an interesting sandbox game! too bad it is unlikely to get a western release given how close-minded the market is...
Hoping for a Chinese release has better chance!
No, just no.
@kamifox1 that profile picture tho...
@BladeRider ? What of it?
Its awesome ! 👍
@BladeRider Oh, why, thankyou!
@kamifox1Im 27 but i love me so mofu digimon. And gururu 's digivolutions were my favorites!
@NomNom Would you also say that, and respect, the Japanese game where the aim is to track down and rape the wife, and young daughters, of your ex boss who fired you? The content of this game is paedophilic and anyone who supports it really needs to take a long hard look at themselves. Thinking paedophilia is ok, in any context, is morally wrong and offensive!
@Eldritch I've read a lot of dumb things this week, but this takes the cake for me.
1) Pedophilia refers to age 11 or younger, high schoolers in Japan are grade 10,11, and 12. So in essence, 15-18.
2) In Japan the age of consent is 13, so for them, their obsession with school girls, isn't completely illegal, so long as they've reached puberty. And in Most Western countries, the legal age is 16 (I would know, I studied law). Which would mean that most highschoolers, would fall into this legal gap.
3) How did you correlate rape, and torture of my ex-bosses family to this game?
4) The game is obviously sarcastically playing on the school girl fetish generally found in Japan, and showing it to Western audiences.
5) I like how you think various things are morally wrong and offensive, but you need to realize no set of moral code is the same throughout the world. Your bound to find a different culture that may disturb you, but you can't stick your nose up and pretend they are lesser beings from practicing their cultural identity. You'll only look like culturally insensitive to put it mildly.
Also, FYI, while I worked for my ex-boss, I was dating a girl 8years older than I was at the time, and he was dating a girl who was 6 years younger than me at the time. And she was the legal age of 16, here. So there was nothing morally or legally wrong with it.
@NomNom 1, The term Paedophilia can be used for any person under the legal age, but ok if you want to be picky, we'll say it is child abuse instead.
2, Although the age of consent may be 13 in a few areas of Japan most areas have now outlawed it. (Plus a quick look on sites that give character bios usually list most of these girls being around 14!)
3, you said you could respect the game because, for some bizarre reason, you believe it would lower crime. Where are the statistics for this? If anything sexual crimes against females in Japan are becoming worse, despite the prevalence of sexually dubious games. Hence I asked if you would use the same reasoning to 'respect' the Japanese game where the aim is rape?
4, outside of Japan, where we don't consider school children objects of sexual satisfaction, then surely it becomes a game of child abuse! And please, don't try and pass it off as satire, (I'm guessing you meant satire as sarcasm is something totally different) it is anything but.
5, Yes, because I am referring to our Western ideals. Once these games become available here then sorry but as far as I'm concerned it doesn't make it ok to sexual fantasize about children just because they may be Japanese and it's deemed ok over there.
6, I don't really care about your or your friend's relationships. As long as both parties are of a legal age then age doesn't matter. Over here we arrest people for sexually abusing children under 16 and put them on the sexual offenders list.
It's nice though that you feel so strongly on this subject matter that you'll happily make a supportive case for a game including the abuse of children because it's deemed ok somewhere else. (Ps. That is sarcasm)
@Eldritch
1. Child abuse would imply they are classified as children, if they are above the legal age, it is simply sexual harrasment. I never implied that it was better, just that i'd rather potential sex offenders to play games and harm virtual women, than to target and harm actual women. I suppose that point flew right over you initially.
2. Whether or not individual areas have modifications to the rule, the general law as per their constitution is 13, as 16 is in the UK, Australia, and Canada, and 18 is in America.
3. Going back to the first point, if they are preoccupied in a fictional setting where they are suppressed into a limited space, they would be less likely to offend. But you should know, those willing to harm children (11 and under) are not mentally well put together, your, mine, our countries need to work more efficiently to create a better mental health system. It simply is not up to par throughout the world.
4. "Outside of Japan where we dont consider school children objects of sexual satisfaction..." I think you forgot about practically the rest of Asia, Pakistan, India, and various Middle Eastern countries still practice child/adult marriages, some even younger than those portrayed in this game. that would account for more than half of the world's population where such acts are considered normal. So you tell me.
5. Sure, I'd agree with you here, I don't feel that sexualizing children for profit is neither a good selling strategy or a good move on a company's public outlook, would it be shipped here? Possibly not, can it? Very likely and very easily.
6. In what world is an ex-boss and ex-employee considered friends? I simply stated that such situations are very real, they exist in the REAL WORLD In Western society, where you deem it is impossible, immoral, vile and disgusting. You may be right, it may be morally wrong, I don't generally date younger (and never that much younger). But it is something you should expect to see wherever you are, just because you feel it is morally wrong does not make you a moral staple to which others must conform their ideology, beliefs and relationships around. The real world is no fairy tail, it's full of things that would be seemingly wrong, but if it's legal than no matter how you may feel about it, there is simply nothing you can do about it.
@NomNom @Eldritch That's enough. You guys have completely gone off topic here. You want to discuss what is legally and morally right take it elswhere please.
