@RS1 i am going to say that you are probably right on it being skipped if it would have released among other games. I for one and happy that it released when it did. Because I may have missed out on a great game.
@Blackjay i definitely hear you on this one. I have no time and a humongous backlog. That aspect of the game has made me.feela certain way (we especially when I die after a good run). But as far as the game itself, the game is great and does give you a sense of accomplishment as you progress.
Returnal is worth the price. I'm sorry. To me price goes with the experience. This is totally a different experience that you will love of you can i vest the time in. The feeling of accomplishment that follows completing the challenge of this game, is amazing.
I paid $7 for death stranding that i still have to play. Paying an additional $10 is a no-brainer for me. $17 for a PS5 game sounds good. Waiting for this to drop
@Mgene15 exactly. And it's wonderful. No complaints. Does a wonderful job of allowing you to go to the next area when you beat the boss of the previous area. It's great. Different.
Ok let's get this right. This type of game is not for everyone. It is a rogue-lite. Not everyone likes rogue-lite the same way many don't like FPS. As far as the difficulty. Seriously, it is not that difficult. In the beginning it is supposed to be difficult as you adjust. The more you play the more familiar you get with the game and controls where it becomes second nature. Again that is what a rogue-lite is.
The Saving: Love the way that they did the saving here. There are permanent things that happen in the game that you will not lose. For instance, when you get your melee weapon. That stays with you. So when you die, you come back with something that you didn't have before making that run feel different and will allow you to do more.
The game is great. Go buy it. A must own. Challenging but the more you play, the more you discover, the further you go
@OrigamiCrane not only insane greed but poor effort in game development and lying...worse thing that happened are these patches. They have come to rely on those patches to release buggy messes and we just have to support and believe that they will fix it. Nonsense. Delay the game. Take your time and give us a game worth $70. I will gladly buy it
@2cents well I didn't buy none of the games you mentioned at launch precisely because of the buggy mess developers have the audacity to release and expect to be bought. I used to buy immediately, now I sit back and wait. Didn't buy Valhalla, Cyberpunk nor outriders.
Aa a consumer. If I buy something I expect it to be good. Not a hot mess. Love supporting developers and God knows I have bought some really crappy games. But, if games are not being bought at launch, a lot of it is on the shoulders of developers not the consumer.
I understand Garvin's feelings but release the game that is good from the beginning and it will be bought at launch. Customers will always complain and they have a right to when they buy games unplayable and have to wait for weeks for a justification on a product they bought. I understand that it takes a lot of work, but then don't release the game until ready.
I see some of you calling for single player but honestly this game looks great. O don't know if any of you have ever played HUNT: Showdown but this reminds me of that. Hope it is as intense as HUNT.
I don't think that there is a lot of stuff that PS needs to do. Rather just tweek somethings and it will put pressure on Microsoft. Game pass is unreal at times. While great for the gamers, i don't believe that it is profitable. So if PS just does something about existing services and keep giving us outstanding first party games; everything will work out
The demo was engaging and with the right people, this game could be a lot of fun. Sony should scoop this up and add it as a PS Plus game for May. It's different.
