Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 411

TuckNorris85

I will be playing a bit of Forza Horizon 5 and Nobody Saves The World. Amazing game, love it.

On Tuesday though, I will be playing ps5 Uncharted 4. I will be doing a 6hr stream for a charity called Sands, who support families who have lost a baby. Its the first of 4 I have planned. Week 2 will be 6hrs of Doom Classic ( with graphics mod and Deathless campaign), week 3 will be 6hrs of Command and Conquer Red Alert ( again playing a Community made campaign), and week 4 will be Horizon Forbidden West. My Twitch is mrtucknorris85 and thr link to the fundraiser will be at the top of the page.

Re: Purchase Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection and Watch the Movie for Free

TuckNorris85

My nearest Cineworld is in Ely, 30 miles away. My local cinema only charges £5 per ticket, so its not a bonus I will use. Still getting the upgrade though. I don't mind paying a tenner considering the ps5 was still 5 years away when the game was first released. However, games that were made with both consoles in mind, like God of War and Forbidden West. Forget it. I have already paid £360 to play the better version

Re: Horizon Forbidden West Is a Whopping 86GB on PS5

TuckNorris85

Don't forget about the free ps4 to ps5 upgrade. It's the last PS game that will offer a free upgrade. Ps4 version is not available on ps5 store, preorder the ps4 version on the PS App, then on the 18th February you should be able to upgrade to the ps5 version for free. Save a tenner.

Re: Poll: How Long Should Games Be?

TuckNorris85

Depends upon the game. 20-30 hrs is an ideal point, with maybe sidequests doubling that.

Having said that, there is nothing wrong with having a 4-8 hour game, if the experience is good enough. A few indy games fit that bill perfectly.

Also, AC Valhalla never felt like a slog, even though it took me 120hrs, same with the Witcher 3.

Re: Soapbox: Sony's First-Party Exclusives Will Shine Once Again in 2022

TuckNorris85

Yeah, those three games feel like they should have been out this year, but let's not forget on Team Green that Halo Infinite should have been out 12 months earlier, so their 21 lineup was significantly bolstered by that. I think 22 will be Sonys year and there may be a big unnanounced release planned for Fall 2022, as well as a PS+ Game Pass thing. Whatever happens, I am pretty glad I have both consoles ( as well as a pretty decent laptop for the odd strategy game),

Re: Bloober Team Dismisses The Medium PS Plus Rumours

TuckNorris85

@GamingFan4Lyf definitely agree that everybody should try it ( at least if it is on a subscription service you have access to anyway). I wouldn't rave about it, and I probably won't go back to it to clean up the collectibles ( I missed a postcard and a note I think, got 920G) but I did thoroughly enjoy it. The split screen was a pretty cool technique and more importantly it wasn't overused. It was certainly an improvement on Blair Witch though.

Re: Talking Point: How Would You Improve PS Plus?

TuckNorris85

Not sure it needs improving to be honest. Maybe if PS was the only console I owned I would be interested in a Plus/ Now bundle, but as I have Game Pass on my xbox and PC, I don't really feel the need for ps plus to be more than it is.

Re: Soapbox: I Don't Understand Service Games That Don't Add Trophies

TuckNorris85

I used to be quite a harcore trophy, frequently haunted the PlayStation Trophies website, but I don't really bother that much now. I will go for a plat if it looks fun or if it comes naturally from 100%ing a game, but some games I don't bother.

I mean, Microsoft Flight Simulator for example, to get full gamerscore you have to play the game for 1000 hours. I will play it a fair bit, its therapeutic, but I cannot see myself playing it for that long. Hell, I only have under 300 hours on the Witcher 3, and that's my favourite game of all time.

Re: Poll: Ghost of Tsushima Released One Year Ago Today - What Review Score Would You Give It Now?

TuckNorris85

It's an absolutely amazing game, I believe it is right up there with Horizon and God of War. Bit bummed that Sony are going to charge extra for DualSense support ( it is already 4k60 on ps5), kind of wish Sony had Smart Delivery.

But the game itself is 10/10, and I strongly believe it was a superior game to The Last of Us 2 and should have got Goty.

We were pretty spoiled last year really, weren't we? This, Last of Us 2, Doom Eternal, Command and Conquer Remastered, Assassins Creed Valhalla.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy Mass Effect Legendary Edition?

TuckNorris85

@Don not 100% sure on that. It already hits 120fps on Series X through the performance mode setting and that's at 1440p. I don't think it would be worth their time to do a native ps5 version, they would be better off waiting to see if Sony ever improve their backwards compatability support.

Look at Command and Conquer Remastered. We never got a console version of that, and it's been nearly a year now. They were games that I fondly remember from my ps1 days. I think EA"s strategy concerning remasters is to get it spot on, then move on.

I will most likely buy this tonight, as it is only £53.99 on Game Pass ( through EA Play) and Microsoft are offering 6000 reward points if you buy it during may which is worth just over a fiver.

Re: Mass Effect Legendary Edition Has Three Platinum Trophies on PS4, 130 Trophies in Total

TuckNorris85

@nessisonett I didn't find Witness too bad to platinum. I had to use a guide for the last bit though because the flashing puzzles and glitched out screens gave me a massive headache. The randomly generated secret puzzle took a couple of hours though, I was pretty proud of finishing that one.

Glad you don't need to play these games on insanity for the trophy, they are on the "DLC" trophy list which includes difficulty trophies and romance trophies.

I might get it on xbox though, it's 10% off with EA Play and also Microsoft Rewards are giving out 6000 points (£5) if you buy the game before a certain date. OR I might wait another year until it actually enters EA Vault, which I have paid for with my series X until May 2023.

Re: PlayStation Absolutely Dominates the DICE Awards

TuckNorris85

@Constable_What oh the dialogue was very YA-ey, I just never had that feeling when playing Ghost, one of the reasons I prefer that to TLOU2.

Don't get me wrong, the game is excellent, 8/10. But the story is really the reason I wouldn't give it 10.

Re: PlayStation Absolutely Dominates the DICE Awards

TuckNorris85

How does Last of Us part 2 get all these stories of the year awards? The story was the weakest part of that game, it jumped backwards and forwards far too much, and the twist should not have occurred within the first hour of gameplay, it made us hate a character before we even had chance to get to know her. She was quite a cool character too, her gameplay bits were fun.

The story on Ghost of Tsushima was much more engaging though. His battle between following the Code and being the Ghost was told a lot better. Its a bit like music in the 80's, when Ultravox's Vienna was beaten to UK number one by "Shaddup your face".

Re: PS Now's New Games Are PS4 Only, No PS5 Upgrade Path

TuckNorris85

@Medic_Alert totally agree. Especially regarding the lack of exclusives on ps now. Even if they added them after a year like EA do with EA Play, I would be more willing to buy into it. However Game Pass and PS Plus are just treading on Now's toes, really no point to Now with them 2 services currently smashing it out of the park ( and PS+ is really good right now, Bugsnax, Oddworld, Control Ultimate, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Days Gone, Concrete Genie, as well as the bonus games ps5 owners get like God of War, Last of Us and Detroit).

I am happy with just using Plus and Game Pass at the moment.

Re: Outriders' People Can Fly to Post-Mortem PS5, PS4 Server Woes

TuckNorris85

Had fun on this tonight. Just unlocked Cyclone Slash for my Trickster, it looks absolutely hilarious. She just spins round with these two swords and it demolishes EVERYTHING.

I would personally give this a 7/10, 8 once the servers are functioning correctly. The cover system is like Gears, but the powers remind me a bit of Mass Effect biotics. Playing it on Game Pass with a couple of friends, it's really good but as always, I say wait for it to go on a sale. Within a couple of months it will drop to £35.

Re: PS Plus April 2021 PS5, PS4 Games Announced

TuckNorris85

To be fair, Days Gone has only been available to ps5 owners for months, so ps4 players should really be given it too. ( Not sure why the PS+ Collection is ps5 only when they are all ps4 games???).

Anyway, I haven't played Days Gone yet so I will definitely give it a go. I think with Oddworld and Outriders on Xbox, I should have plenty to play this month.

Still got Bugsnax and Control PS5 in my backlog yet.

Re: Outriders Is Going to Be a Commercial Crater on PS5, PS4

TuckNorris85

Also when I say both consoles, I am including the little Series S, which to be honest has impressed me as much as the ps5, despite the obvious resolution difference. My One X which sits alongside the Series S is still there to play the older games in 4k, but I haven't actually used it since getting the S as the quality of life improvements are so mad.

Re: Outriders Is Going to Be a Commercial Crater on PS5, PS4

TuckNorris85

I will be playing it on Game Pass. It never really looked interesting but if it pops into my game collection on 1st April, I will definitely be giving it a go.

Don't forget how great Plus has been the last few months too, we have had Control PS5, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Maquette, the under rated Concrete Genie, Bugsnax.

I would advise anybody now just to buy the new consoles ( if you can) and subscribe to Plus and Game Pass, you never need to buy a game again. I would also advise to stay away from ps now, as you really don't need it alongside the other 2 services. Be different if Sonys exclusives were on it, even if they were added a year or so after release like EA Play.

Re: Bethesda Says 'Some' Future Games Won't Launch on PS5, PS4

TuckNorris85

The thing is, because they are releasing the games on pc as well, they don't actually need to release them on other platforms. The pc audience is huge.

Also, with the games coming out on Game Pass, there would be no point buying them on PlayStation. I think the only Bethesda stuff we see on ps5 is multiplayer orientated games.

Re: PS Plus Members Think Final Fantasy VII Remake May Be Free in March

TuckNorris85

I would imagine something like Sinking City is more likely, seeing as that was going to be a ps now game last August but the publisher removed the game from digital storefronts just before it got added.

Also Spider Man or Hitman 2 could be contenders. Could even have Spider Man Remastered if that ever releases outside Ultimate Editions.
