Re: Poll: What Was the Best PS4 First-Party Exclusive of the Generation?

@LiterallyDoNotCare I was thinking the same, till I gave it a go on the PS Plus collection and now I'm hooked on my second run on ng+. I wouldn't compare it to Call of Duty, even though I don't play those games myself. I would say, it has more inspiration from Red Dead Redemption and even Easter eggs that tie it to the same universe.

The story definitely grabs you with all the characters and backstories. Gamplay wise, as you progress, constantly unlocking new mechanics, you eventually have so much freedom taking on every encounter, that it never gets repetitive. The AI is the most dynamic I have ever seen in a game. Nothing like Dying Light. Days Gone is way more fun.

If you do get the PS Plus collection, I'd say give it a go yourself and see what you think. You might change your mind, like I did. Now I'm more hyped for this game to have a sequel, than any other PlayStation exclusive.

@Akurusu Sounds like bad experiences if you ask me. My Launch PS3 is better, than my second PS3, that I bought a year later for another room. Ended up trading that one, for a white, PS3 slim and all though they both still don't have any issues, my original PS3 is still of better quality, all round. Most products always start off with the best of quality and slowly cut costs along the way. So I don't quite agree with your presumptions.

As for games, you do realize it will enhance all your PS4 games. My first purchases will probably be Control and Marvel Avengers, which I've held back till I get my PS5. Then there's Astro's Playroom and Marvel’s Spider-Man Miles Morales, that also look cool. On top of that, PS Plus will give me the chance to play Persona 5 and Days Gone for free, since I haven't got those exclusives yet. Let's not forget all those third party games coming out at the same time, I don't see why you think it has next to no original new games, while games will still be coming out at a consistent pace.

All fine if you want to wait, but as for me, i"m really looking forward to all the next gen enhancements for games I've already held off playing.
