Genshin Impact has already made an absurd amount of money — and it's about to make even more. The free-to-play action RPG hit PlayStation 4 last year, but we've always known that an improved PS5 version is in the works. And as it happens, that next-gen edition will launch in the near future. According to the game's latest trailer, Genshin Impact lands on PS5 this Spring.
The PS5 version boasts smoother performance, better load times, enhanced visuals, and DualSense controller support. Will you be giving Genshin Impact a shot? Summon your favourite heroes in the comments section below.

Can't wait. I've still been playing every day, and I don't see that changing any time soon. I really commend Mihoyo for the amount of support they put into this game.
Honestly the game doesn't need a native PS5 version. The PS4 versions improvements are good enough on PS5, it plays so well as is.
As always, I won’t be playing it until it gets a good trophy list
Somewhere, a crazed Zelda fan is burning a PS5 in effigy.
Although, on a more serious note, it's a shame I'll never be willing to give this a fair shot. It looks nice, but the f2p thing just skeeves me out.
Nice, can't wait for this update
@Ralizah You should try it if you have ps5 or pc that's capable playing this game at 60 fps, the gameplay is good and the story and world building is actually pretty great. The world is giving me oblivion/skyrim vibe because there's so many interesting books in there.
Finally! I stopped playing early waiting for the PS5 version!
Wish they would optimize the PS4 version, it runs like absolute arse at times on the pro.
@Ralizah - If you started now and hoarded all the free primogems (premium currency) you are guaranteed to get a few 5 star characters without spending a penny. I've whaled pretty hard on this game but you really don't need to at all. The free characters are easily capable of clearing everything in the game.
Still not seeing the appeal to this game after trying it 3 times and dropping it. I knew it was going to be bad when serious players were dropping the main character from their party within an hour due to the gacha system spitting out better skins and stats for their liking.
This sort of thing needs a good story that isn't hidden in cryptic lore books, and unfortunately that takes a backseat for the gacha mechanics and combat/exploration. I also second this needed a better trophy list, this one is rough haha
Just when I think my gaming habits are too much and need to be put in check as an adult with a life outside the bedroom, games like this remind me that there’s people actually wasting their time playing this and it’s not me after all!!
I thought it already did!? The load times and performance are so much better on PS5 than on PS4. It's practically unplayable on PS4 once I started it on PS5.
@2cents You're still wasting your life making dumb comments though, so... There's a reality check for you.
You're welcome.
@Constable_What @2cents Come on now, let's not argue over this. Some people love this game, some people obviously don't! Nothing wrong with that. Let's keep the comments section nice.
@ShogunRok okay okay fair enough
@Bliquid It's definitely prone to some input lag on PS4, I've noticed. Can make the action feel a bit too floaty and delayed. Hoping the PS5 version is just a touch smoother.
Now can they added cross saves, so that I can continue play my PC save on my PS5
Nice. Great game, and just looks stunning.
I am already super invested on PC, so no turning back now. I can also use iOS and cross save to play away from home.
But any option that looks "better" for when at home I would use it. Game should be played as nice as possible.
Nice. Should have quite a number of lvl 90 characters by then.
@GamingVeteran Disagreed, the game hitches and has framerate issues. The asset pop-in is also immersion breaking.
@Ralizah Don't listen to em man. I gave it a shot and all the f2p mechanics are still here and still suck. It's a money eating machine
I played a good amount on PS4. I might jump back in.
Found this game to be a blast at first only to find out that the story sucks and the daily loop grind gets boring very fast.
I wonder if they fixed that awful camera movement?
Also the lag spikes in towns was aweful xd
@GamingVeteran Extra details and resolution, on top of faster load times, is always welcome no?
Trailer got me excited for this game again, but I shall keep waiting until the game's story is truly complete.
