>This new Marathon project is supposed to be a three-player, extraction-based shooter
Not my cup of tea. Wish more devs provide decent single-players experience or some adaptable co-op/multiplayer options, like Division series: you can play solo even though it is harder, or team up with friends, if you like that.
Well, I see why EA is trying to create MH's rival and why this one has strong emphasis on co-op fun... But even if they say that playing solo would be OK, I have strong doubts about this statement.
More like "you can beat all the content solo <if you are geared up, have max level, best items, a lot of time and feel kinda masochistic>".
@Khayl thank you for the review, great work. Guess, I'll grab this one for the upcoming winter evenings.
Btw could you tell me, have you played Pathfinder on a TV or on a monitor? Was it comfortable to read such a gross amount of text? I have 50' TV and usually play from 2-3 meters distance. It is enough for most of the games, but reading dialogues in PoE 1/2 was a little bit hard. Does Pathfinder have text size options or is everything preset by default?
Business talks for business heads. I usually play the games I like and if all these things like service-games, mobile gachas and so on won't affect the quality and quantity of first-party PS5 games6 I'm fine. Otherwise I might switch back to PC/Xbox as my primal gaming device.
I was slightly interested in this game, but after reading the article bought it yesterday. No regrets at all - fun and time consuming. Ideal thing to relax amid the big titles. Even existing battle pass seems not that hard and pricy... at least at the moment.
@Beerheadgamer82 skipping games over fears that you will like them and their sequels (if they will ever come to life) might miss PS sound insane to me.
Like "I won't eat ice-cream, because one day all cows might die and I won't be able to enjoy it anymore".
Why not enjoying the game, if it is available at the moment?
@Zenne96 Opinions differ. For me modern line is something that ruins the immersion and atmosphere. But I'm perfectly fine with it if modern lines can be easily skipped throughout the game.
@jrt87 never heard anything bad about the Suicide Squad game.
Trailer was awesome. Gameplay looks faster and more brutal compared to Gotham Knights. There is actually impact from the punches, Deadshot actually fires from his guns all the time (yes, I'm looking at you, Red Hood), blood and dark humour are present. And it is made by Rocksteady. What else do you need, folks?
@PenguinLtd I usually try to beat all the in-game content, so playing Valhalla felt painful and meaningless. But once I've decided to follow the main missions and to abandon the idea of 100% walkthrough it became much more enjoyable.
Looks awesome, sure. But I feel kinda sad than many games nowadays try to reach the most realistic look possible, but completely forget about art-style in general. That's OK for different action games like Arma, COD, Battlefield and so on (no offence though). But think about first Fable games, Sea of Thieves, World of Warcraft and some others - they look so damn good even without adding an insane amount of polygons and 98K textures of clouds and fur.
Great if it so. I wish there were more single-player games out there compared to insane amount of live service coop multiplayer NFT battle royale games.
The very first gameplay showcase was awesome, but the following videos seem worse and worse... Still haven't seen the most interesting things for me like in-depth character building and exploration of the city. Just some info about the characters. Guess, no preorders this time.
I wish all the video materials on PushSquare were accompanied by a full text version. Even though videos are a great source of content, I usually come here to read and not to watch
In my opinion photo-mode should be released at the launch of any game. Just imagine how many SMM possibilities developers miss: shooting and sharing some amazing screenshots via social networks can attract an additional amount of people and spread some nice words about the game for free.
Used to spend some time in PUBG on PC... It was quite fun playing in a squad even despite numerous bugs and glitches at the beginning. Doubt that I'll give it a chance on PS though.
How does Marvel's Avengers feel after many patches now? Initial reviews were not very positive, but maybe something has changed?
I'm in search of something to turn the brain off after work, run through several levels, enjoy some progression, looting and combat. Destiny 1/2, Outriders, Borderlands and different action RPGs like Diablo, POE, Torchlight has already been played millions of times.
@munstre sure, amazing title from the first party studio with so many cool features and aspects has nothing to attract new PS5 owners without any bundles... sarcasm
@SolaceCreed yeah, it would be awesome to have something like The Division but in the setting of the Last of Us series with all the Naughty Dogs' magic. To be honest, I don't like the emphasis on PVP content. After a day at work investing lots of time and nerves in fighting other people is the last thing I wish for. But exploring a dangerous world full of different hostile creatures, perhaps with a friend or two would be nice.
Well, I prefer turn-based combat in this kind of games, but this title might be worth keeping an eye on - there are not so many similar projects on PS.
Reminds me Black Flag and it was great. And I like the possibility to complete all the content alone. Would keep an eye on this one, feel interested now again.
@Martijn87 even much smaller games can have dozens of bugs. And modern AAA games are usually giant open words, in which you can go wherever you want and do whatever you like - millions of actions with millions conditions. Even thousands of QA specialists can't test every single thing or scenario.
I have a thing for roguelikes, but base-building element is still unclear, even though it sounds and looks like a type of long-term progression every roguelike representative nowadays has.
@RBMango I did a brief research and found several complaints about the issue on reddit. It's a shame that legendary weapon is much weaker because of this.

@invictus4000 we won't be forgotten with an extra 10 pounds fee per game
Re: Check Out Overwatch 2's Action-Packed Launch Trailer Ahead of 4th October Release
Was quite good and had a lot of fun in the original Overwatch, but dropped it due to high amount of trolls and rage quitters even in ranked games.
Might try this one, but I usually stay away from f2p games (excluding Path of Exile and Warframe).

Re: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Open Beta Is Live, Exclusively on PS5, PS4
Spent ~3 hours in demo. Well, for me this part feels awesome, I have same vibes the original MW2 gave me in 2009. Now I even want to pre-order it

Re: Hunt Down a Rogue General in The Division 2's Latest Season, Price of Power
Great game even though I dislike the recent accent on multiplayer activities. Prefer doing all the content solo, very rare - with some friends.
Re: Square Enix Sends Babylon's Fall to the Grave in February 2023
That's the other side of the live service games. On one hand you get tons of content. On another - once the game shuts down, it becomes unplayable.
It would be awesome to make such games fully playable offline once the servers go dark forever, but sadly practically no one does so.

Re: Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn Packs a Punch in New Gameplay Trailer
To be honest, I am tired of Souls-likes, Remakes, Remasters, Live-service games, etc... Maybe too old for all of those.

That's a clever move, to be honest. You can always blame the GOWR in case of poor sales.
