Re: PS Store Sale Discounts 1,000+ Pieces of DLC, Expansions, Season Passes

Tomato_Goose

@misak192 nope, it does not include the game itself. But many games have bundles or special editions with season pass already included (usually called ultimate edition or smth like that). And again those ultimate editions are slightly less expensive than buying the base game + DLCs from season pass without any discounts. E.g. Midnight Suns costs £64.99 for the base game. Season pass costs £39.99. Game + season pass = £105. But legendary edition with season pass and the base game included costs £89.99, £15 less. Sometimes devs even include some additional things (usually cosmetics) into such editions as well.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Forspoken?

Tomato_Goose

6 out of 10 is just right.

As you have written in the review the game has so much potential but can't figure out it's strongest sides and wastes so much effort on useless and strange things: big but empty open world (even too big), poor story, dull characters...

Not that bad, especially for the studio's first project. But way too bad for all the attention given to it.

Re: Poll: Did You Buy One Piece Odyssey?

Played the demo and kinda liked it. Feels sweet and lovely, might give it a try a bit later.

But have to finish Midnight Suns, play Hogwarts Legacy, Jedi 2, FF16 and Diablo... Perhaps, afterwards. Or even in between.

Re: Game of the Year: Best PS5, PS4 RPG of 2022

@LiamCroft wow, but I've seen the review here by Khayl Adam:
https://www.pushsquare.com/reviews/ps4/pathfinder-wrath-of-the-righteous-enhanced-edition

Though I can not find him on the Staff list at the moment.

Anyway, this is a classic cRPG that has all essential RPG features: from creating your own character and building it throughout the game with dozens of skills, items, etc. to making choices that really matter and, you know, indeed playin some roles. It's a type of experience that true RPG geeks appreciate, not an indie, but a solid AA or even AAA game. Something of this quality rarely sees the light in modern times and even more rarely comes to Playstation. I won't argue about this being out of your sight and missing the list, but totally recommend this one to all RPG fans and to you personally

@LiamCroft so Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous released on PS this autumn and no mention in RPG category? Even though it is one of the most solid projects of this genre in years and Pushsquare gave it 9/10 in a review? Guess, something's went wrong here

Re: Preview: 20 Hours of Diablo 4 on PS5 Has Us Believing in Blizzard's Latest Trip to Hell

@ShogunRok first of all, thanks for the news about one of my favorite game series ever!

Now, to the questions:

1) Judging by the gameplay videos combat seemed much slower compared to the third part, is it really so? If yes, have you already found any ways to create some kind of speed-builds for farming and etc? Theoretically, of course, taking into account the current level cap.

2) Amount of different quests have increased, but are they rewarded properly? Getting a couple of items for killing hundreds of monsters might seem a bit strange.

3) Is there an option to prohibit other players joining my session? I am OK with crowded hubs, but seeing dozens of strangers during the world exploration will ruin my uniqueness and exceptional nature. I want to be the chosen one destined to save the world! At least until beating the final boss.

Re: Hogwarts Legacy Is Now Putting Out Music Videos

Tomato_Goose

That's nice WB keeps sharing all those ASMR and music stuff alongside with small videos and gifs on Twitter, but I wish they show us some more Hogwarts magic... Like secret passages and rooms, puzzles, etc.

Also those students using unforgivable curses give me strange feelings. I understand that HP fans are now grown ups, but first books, movies and games gave that amazing feelings of magic and wonders, which I still can not feel in Hogwarts Legacy. Hope to be wrong though.

Even though modern communication style via social networks tends to be more aggressive and innovative I still believe chatting with customers should be polite and respectful. Even if we forget about social conventions and etc., those people pay money for your product. And you can be witty without trying to insult someone... Well, now you may call me old-fashioned

Re: New Sonic Frontiers Gameplay Explores a New Island in Six Minutes

Tomato_Goose

Well, still does not look like a £49.99 must-have for me. Those sudden objects popping up from time to time look weird. Overall gameplay and lack of style... Perhaps just not my game. Hope it plays better than on all those videos and brings some fun and joy for the players.

And I'm glad the Sonic is not forgotten. Perhaps one day this blue hedgehog will regain my attention once again.

Re: Critics Are Divided Over More Than Just Gotham Knights PS5 Performance

Tomato_Goose

Played it before the work for an hour or so. Plot seems intriguing, in-game cinematics are cool and well-directed, the story missions are interesting. The city looks beautiful despite all the talks and even 30 FPS feels ok - you'll get used to them after ten minutes or so.

My current concerns are open-world activities and character progression. Getting the same resources as a reward and crafting the same gear seems boring, can't tell whether there will be set-bonuses in the future. Also I still don't understand why characters can not parry the attacks. And the movement system with a grappling hook feels like I am spiderman during the very first city run.

Beside those things the game itself is good enough. As for me 7/10 is a reasonable score.
