@themcnoisy I would say that the company’s marketing shots are much more well put together, in certain examples. The shots in this contest are pretty, but empty.
I would be curious next year, seeing as they hyped the hell out of the reveals and they all turned out to be duds. I wonder how that will impact next years show?
@PossibLeigh I see what you mean! It’s an enjoyable game, even more so for people born in the 80’s and 90’s. The soundtrack is a highlight, and it’s stuffed with secrets and extra content. Kind of on the easy side, but that’s subjective. Graphically it’s cute and I found it easy to see what was going on, even on the Switch’s tiny screen.
@PossibLeigh Shovel Knight is excellent, but if you don’t like that sort of thing you may as well skip it. Also, looks rough? Lol it’s one of the most polished games I’ve played.
@Mince I couldn’t help but feel the same. I keep reading these comments and I think to myself, are these really the reactions people are having about this?
I get being upset or bummed cause you spent money on a broken thing, but the level of melodrama surrounding this game is....probably more entertaining than the game itself!
@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L I mentioned Sony because Cyber Punk would have easily been a system seller, with how good it looked graphically. That’s why I was theorizing about them pushing it out, and also the fact that in recent memory I can’t remember such a horrible launch, in terms of performance. Like, this is stunningly bad on consoles.
@1_W1NG3D_4NG3L Oh, what I was reading about the PC port is that it runs pretty stellar, with a few users reporting inconsistencies/bugs. So it came across like they prioritized the PC version, and just pushed out the console version in a hurry.
@Trajan It’s a long comment string, and I posted a lot, so you’ll have to give me some point of reference. I have no idea which post you are referring to.
@PapaGlitch Replaying it mindlessly is not what I'm suggesting. There are other ways to get more enjoyment out of a game. Please try to think a little outside of the box, I'm not here to make all the suggestions for getting more out of a game for you. I'm sure you can think of a few off the top of your head, such as speedruns, no hit runs, self imposed limitations or challenges, etc. There's a reason that there are people out there that get lots of enjoyment for years out of a single game, there's plenty of video evidence of it across YouTube and Twitch.
@PapaGlitch Nobody said it’s the end all and be all. When you point out one facet about something, you aren’t automatically ruling out all other things. It’s entirely possible for one thing to represent many. I was just following the conversation.
That’s like saying that because you have a nose, you lack eyes. I’m just pointing out the nose.
@mariomaster96 Like I said, learn to get more out of your games. I still play games on my original NES, and there are countless more examples. Try not being so hard to please.
@AndyKazama You should learn that information so that you can better yourself. It will help you understand why games prices will continue to go up, as the years march on.
All these complaints, all these people still buying the console, supporting the price.
If you don’t like the price, buying the console that offers games at that price is stupid. Learn not to give in so easily to your desires, or learn to get more out of your $70 game.
@mariomaster96 Considering I’ve been playing Dark Souls 1-3 and Skyrim almost exclusively for the last 7 years, I think I got my $60 worth. You may just have unrealistic expectations. You should learn to get more out of your games.
@Zeke68 Games used to cost the same, if not more (depending on the retailer) in the 80’s and 90’s. Games also cost a lot more to make than the 80’s and 90’s.
Inflation is a thing, and for a product to stay relevant in any economy, it has to increase its price to meet the demands of inflation and production costs.
It’s a FANTASY to think that games would stay at $60 forever.
You pay $500 (or whatever your national equivalent is) for a system, and then complain about the prices of games. Just admit that you are well-off and not out on the streets or something.
Same garbage has been happening on Steam forums for years. People will spend hundreds or thousands on a gaming rig, and then complain about the price of software.
@dark_knightmare2 It looks like it could be fun, but it will probably be a similar experience to being a magic user in Dark Souls, where you just kite mobs until they are dead. Graphically, it looks like plastic.

Re: Guide: New PS5, PS4 Games This Week (21st December to 27th December)
I’m on the fence, not sure if I want the PS4 or PS5 version.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 355
The best souls game, Dark Souls 2 - Scholar of the First Sin, of course.
Re: Soapbox: I'm Really Enjoying Cyberpunk 2077
I’ll never play the game, not my cup of tea. But I’m enjoying the hell out of all the memes we are getting, making fun of the performance.

Re: Gallery: Here Are Our Community's Top Entries in Latest PS4 Screenshot Competition
These are pretty dead, as far as composition is concerned.
Re: Sony Removes Cyberpunk 2077 from PS Store, Pledges Refunds for All PS Store Purchases
That’s great news, glad they are taking the time to make things right.

Hopefully we get a big day 1 patch, Humanity needs it.

Re: Fans Wonder if PS4 Pro Has Been Discontinued
@zupertramp That would honestly be very smart and consumer friendly, but I’m sure they would prefer that the PS5 be the entry console.

Re: Cost of Fixing Cyberpunk 2077 Irrelevant, Says CD Projekt RED
There’s nothing else to talk about regarding the PS5? Everything is bad news about Cyberpunk, now?
Re: Poll: What Is Your PS5 and PS4 Game of the Year 2020?
I'm going with Cyberpunk, for how much it punked everyone on console. : )
Re: Reaction: Cyberpunk 2077 Debacle Proves Sony Needs a Better PS Store Refund Policy
Stop pre-ordering games.

Sounds like Sony made them rush the game out sooner than it needed. Sounds very similar to No Man’s Sky.
Re: PS5 Brute Force Fixes Cyberpunk 2077's PS4 Technical Problems
Good old PC Master Race, yet again. Console peasants. Haven’t had to type that in a while. Heh.

Re: Soapbox: PS5 Pricing Is Setting Releases Like Returnal Up to Fail
@OthmaneAD You underestimate how badly gamers want to buy stuff. The comments section is a minority. People will buy, it’s a very small increase.
Re: Soapbox: PS5 Pricing Is Setting Releases Like Returnal Up to Fail
@OthmaneAD It doesn’t matter how much something costs to make? How do you determine that you yielded a good return on investment, then?

Re: Soapbox: PS5 Pricing Is Setting Releases Like Returnal Up to Fail
@PapaGlitch If you can use something for longer, you get more value out of it. You absolutely can use game length to qualify cost.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 (PS4) - The Potential of a Masterpiece, Totally and Utterly Unrealised
Have people still not recognized that you are all paying to be beta testers for the first 6 months that a big game is out?
Re: Soapbox: PS5 Pricing Is Setting Releases Like Returnal Up to Fail
@mariomaster96 I’m not forcing you to share your problems on this publicly accessible chat forum.
Re: Soapbox: PS5 Pricing Is Setting Releases Like Returnal Up to Fail
@Snick27 I hope people enjoy it!
Re: Soapbox: PS5 Pricing Is Setting Releases Like Returnal Up to Fail
@Vyns Are you seriously comparing the content of older games to new ones? Are you daft?
Castlevania 3 was $55 when I was a kid. Completed it in 3 hours.
When I picked up Skyrim for the same price, my first play through was 90 hours.
So not only have the prices stayed the same, we have an exponential amount more stuff to do in each game. Think next time, bro
Re: Soapbox: PS5 Pricing Is Setting Releases Like Returnal Up to Fail
@mariomaster96 Maybe you should reconsider your purchasing habits.

@MemSec Yep! Either way, the increase is welcome.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Hovers Around 720p on PS4, Drops As Low As 15FPS
@WizzNL Games reviews are only designed to drive or slow down sales of games. Of COURSE the reviews are speaking highly of the game, regardless.
Re: Soapbox: PS5 Pricing Is Setting Releases Like Returnal Up to Fail
@Woogy You sound very entitled.
So instead of developing the game, what process did they do, instead? I fully await your “intelligent” reply.
Who said it’s groundbreaking? I said it costs more money. Take your Ritalin, and pay closer attention.

Re: Talking Point: Did The Game Awards 2020 Meet Your Expectations?
@doctommaso That’s awesome. Hopefully a sequel to Bloodborne.
Re: Crimson Desert Debuts Gameplay Trailer at The Game Awards
Stylish af. Can’t wait for the superior, PC version. It had better make my laptop melt with graphics like that.
Re: Crimson Desert Debuts Gameplay Trailer at The Game Awards
@locoism25 It doesn’t get better than photorealistic graphics, but yeah sure lol
Re: Talking Point: Did The Game Awards 2020 Meet Your Expectations?
Are people really that hyped for Elden Ring after the dumpster fire that was Sekiro?
Re: Round Up: What Was Announced at The Game Awards 2020?
So glad I skipped the show! More dull news. Woo.
Re: Season Brings a Stunning Art Style and Different Cultures to PS5
Honestly, I would have liked to see something like this as an animated film, it looks pretty dull, gameplay-wise.
