This game is unplayable for me. I can’t run it for more than two minutes without it crashing since the update. No other game crashes this hard on my ps5. I tried clearing console cache and reinstalling the game and nothing seems to fix it, anyone experiencing anything similar or have tips on resolving it?
Anyone experiencing a LOT of crashing since the update? Don’t think it crashed once in the 15 hrs I played prior, but has crashed thrice in 20 minutes since booting it up after
So far I’ve been enjoying my time with it. I think expectations being set low by reviews helped me play it for what it is and not what people thought a Tango game should be
Yeah I do think the game as a whole is very well put together and obviously the characters and gameplay are great as is expected from SSM. That said, I have a greater fondness for the first game for some reason that I can’t quite put my finger on where I’m more likely to play through that one for the third time over giving GOWR another go
Enjoyed the game decently enough overall, but the last few acts felt really rushed so left kind of a sour taste in my mouth. Don’t think DLC could bring me back to it.
I think the main difference in my opinion is Sony has never seemed coy about how they go about their business of putting out exclusives. It’s pretty much their whole strategy. Xbox seems like they are pretty wishy washy with the whole case by case thing, but then ends up making every big release exclusive
As a huge fan of ffxv despite its shortcomings, and someone who didn’t really take to the linearity of Remake, I’m a bit saddened/concerned by the change in direction, but I get why they are going that route based on general sentiment
It’s not the first i tried, but it’s the first I actually beat, which gave me the confidence to go back and beat Dark Souls 3. DS1 and Bloodborne are next, but those 2 are proving way more difficult than the former in my opinion.
I played the whole demo and while I certainly can’t deny the combat and traversal was fun in that very lizard Brain sort of way, the world was a bit of a letdown in more ways than one. Aside from the usual checklist open world format, it’s honestly worse than what Ubisoft puts out. It just seemed a bit slapped together without much thought to environmental design or storytelling. Also the one objective where it teleports you into a fort that’s like 100 feet away, says you went back in time and have to protect static character models from the zombie dudes for 3 minutes is straight out of a ps2 game. I was literally laughing that this was something squeenix decided to show in a demo.
Anyone know if some of these deals are EU specific? For example been interested to try out Outcast 2nd contact but it is still showing 14.99 in the us store mobile app
I don’t think it needs a remake to be ‘playable’ it has better combat than Skyrim ever had and people are still paying 50 bucks for that one 11 years later. Hope they paid the folks well for the mods they’re using.
I’m unsubscribing from extra after this year. It’s basically been adding a whole bunch of games each month that ‘eh I could play that’ but nothing compelling has been added since the first month beyond stray and the ps5 titles (most of which I’ve played or owned)
Been really looking forward to this game back when it was supposed to come out 4 months ago. Excitement has waxed and waned over time, but I’m expecting a solid title at this point.
@Mega-Gazz I was thinking the same thing, my Home Screen is still cluttered, and I have to go through multiple menus just to access my folders (I mean collections) so it’s seeming pretty pointless to use as of now. Also ding it for not being able to sort games at all when you are adding them. How did this make it through beta?
While I certainly don’t think it’s my game of the year, it was a short, sweet, fun experience that didn’t overstay its welcome. The fact that I love cats definitely makes me like it more, but that’s just the way opinions work.
I contrast this game to something like lost in random that also had an interesting setup and had a very simple gameplay loop, but that just totally wore out its welcome for me and couldn’t bring myself to finish it.
Pass here as well. I tried playing Saints Row 3 remastered, and just didn’t vibe with it for some reason. I think I didn’t dig how you have to actively select to start a main mission on the phone before it shows up on the map. I usually happen upon main missions while messing about in the world and decide I might as well do a story mission. I also might just not be that into chaotic city crime simulators like I used to be a few years back.
They are games with gold-ing the essential tier. Sony is putting all of the sloppy seconds and thirds in the essential giveaways because it wants people who rely on those games to upgrade to extra
@The_Pixel_King I was also very nervous when I made the plunge because I have never finished a soulsborne game. I can now say that I have and it was the best gaming experience I can remember for a long while! Give it a go already
Been interested in the deck but have heard multiple accounts of the battery being really terrible, kind of defeating the purpose of a portable machine. Hoping later iterations will improve on that.
Elden Ring, Finally made it past the wall of a boss that closes out Act 2, somehow staying close enough to avoid his health sucking projectiles, only to hit another bigger wall with the final boss. Also playing HFW, but that basically feels like filler after ER so I’m considering dropping it for a while until I forget how glorious ER is.
Elden ring for sure. Started HFW after finishing (well getting my butt kicked in the end game so needing a break) from elden ring, and though still fun, HFW just does not have the same sense of wonderment and discovery . I’m only part way through so I guess my opinion could change, but I suppose that’s just the nature of sequels as well
@MatthewJP I was literally thinking the same thing! I started playing dying light 2 first, thinking the story and characters are not as bad as everyone is saying. After starting CP2077 again, I’m like okay they are pretty bad.
Question: does anyone know if the street cred cap has been raised at all? I remember on my original play through last year that I’d gotten to the cap shortly after leaving the first district
one thing I’m noticing when I went back in is joy stick drifting. It doesn’t happen in any other game I have so i don’t think it’s the controller, but curious if anyone has come across anything similar
Just finished my first playthough and I was sad to finish it as it was such a fun journey! I will definitely be going back for another in a few months after the heavy hitters for February are through
RT mode for me, baby! 60FPS is nice but as someone whose always been a console gamer, I'm used to the slower Framerate, and will take visual Fidelity anyday.
Just pulled the trigger on Disco Elysium, and i am having an absolute blast! it is a gorgeous game with fantastic writing. I bounced off of a few CRPGs (divinity, pillars of eternity, numenara) but this one is different for some reason.
@Dezzy70 I noticed screen tearing pretty heavily in fc6 like you said, but I don't feel like I've noticed it very much in other 3rd party titles I've played on ps5. Ubisoft is generally just not that great at making polished games.
I've played quite a bit of the first one. Its definitely got something going for it in terms of just having such a wide scope and not rail roading you ever. The caveat to that benefit is that it can feel quite aimless (and difficult!) at times and the stunted voice acting does not help with immersion. I don't need Oscar worthy voice acting but listening to and looking at what basically amounts to an animatronic mannequin for hours on end can be grating.
That said i will probably end picking it up on sale later this year
I played through 4/5 games on that list so definitely worth the price of admission. However there a drought of just okay/not my kind of games for a lot of the year and I was pretty disappointed at how devs treated the subscription as second class by not offering free next gen upgrades like they did those who purchased the products outright.
Over 6 months after finishing this game I still think about it quite often, not many games do that for me. And I do not typically like roguelikes, so definitely my #1 for the year
@Integrity i played it before the patches and I cant say that the AI bothered me too much. Then again I play stealthily as I'm not huge on FPS so it felt good to sneak around like a pro. Also turned off map markers so I needed to read and pay attention to clues and the level design instead of following a quest marker. Really of the humble opinion that Arkane should have made that the default setting and left markers as an accessibility option
Cant say any of the games appeal to me personally, but that is objectively a really good selection
Edit: however do we know for sure that deep rock will include the ps5 version? If it doesn't then there you go. I have something to complain about and life makes sense again.
I kind of hate myself for resubbing after feeling like we've been pushed around for the last half of the year (getting half cut versions of games, not getting next gen upgrades that were free, etc.). But half off a year sub is a pretty sweet deal and cdkeys couldn't even get to that price point. Cloud saves are just really convenient.
@hypnotoad that is me with every Soulsborne release. Love everything about 'em except for the fact that I am just not good enough (or patient enough) to finish them. I'm sure I will repeat the insanity with Elden ring 😂
Has it been confirmed whether mortal shell offers the free ps5 upgrade to ps plus members? I know a number of ps plus games have not included the free upgrade for some reason, so I'm definitely curious.
@NateGoesLive I would say its an interesting concept for a game with a cool premise, but goes on a bit too long especially if you try to complete everything. The aesthetic is different in a Tim Burton kind of way, but its a bit one note overall and the game doesn't really evolve too much over the course of the run time. Just my opinion of course and happy to say I had a few hours of fun with it before I fell off.
