I played the first section and then my heart sank when I realised the whole game was going to be an escort mission.

I've been thinking about getting it since it's only £38 on CD Keys but honestly, without some sort of auto framerate/HDR boost that Xbox currently has, all those old games are going to look dreadful on my 4K display.

Superb news. Give's me another excuse to play it again (not that I needed one).

I do a bit of both, physical and digital. There's certainly benefits to each approach but I mainly use digital for PS Plus offers and sales. If it's a game I really want on day one then I'll get the physical copy especially now that they're going for £70 RRP. I want something physical to show for it that I can keep on my shelf forever or have the option to trade as opposed to something that can disappear if, hypothetically, Sony shuts up shop one day.

And as someone with a large blu-ray, CD and Vinyl collection I'll always argue that physical media is superior in every way.

Well, they could add a 120fps mode like the Series X has. I'm sure the PS5 can quite easily handle it.

The sudden 300% increase in sales of MM on the PS5 coincided with PS5 units being released by retailers.

Increased sales of MM are for PS5 not PS4.

This obviously goes against the established narrative that scalpers are scooping up all the PS5's. Clearly they are going to real people if sales of Miles Morales has shot up over 300%.

I'm about 2/3rds through and for me it's the best entry since RE4.

How has Returnal bombed? The article says it's likely to be Housemarque's biggest selling game. Also I never said it was a bad game, I haven't played it. Why are you using niche in quotes?

You can't honestly compare sales of Returnal to Resident Evil and conclude that it's all down to the price.

@Loftimus it's got little to do with the price. RE is an established brand on multi platforms with mainstream appeal and months of hype. Returnal is PS5 only in a niche genre and no save function which put many players (including myself) off.

@Wazeddie22 I also got it from Base. Only £47.59 for the version with the 3D cover and the two dlc codes.

Played a couple of hours of it tonight and loving it so far.

I'm bookmarking this page. Looks like I'll need it when my order (hopefully) arrives today.

I wouldn't hold your breath. They can barely manufacture the standard model as it is. No chance there's any design revisions coming soon.

Also, I love the look of my PS5. I'm glad they didn't go with some boring box design.

Just pre-ordered it. Base.com are selling it for £47 with DLC.

I completed the original twice on the SNES version which is shocking to old me now as I recently got it on Switch and it's absolutely hard as nails.

A lot of people were put off by a) the genre, b) the price, c) the reports of crashes and d) the lack of any save function. If they address the latter two I'd be willing to buy it myself. Even at full price.

That's a shame as I started getting into it again around the PS5 launch and only just bought the latest issue the other day. I must be a bad luck jinx. At least the staff aren't being axed.

Seriously though, I've never played Fortnite and never will. As far as I'm concerned it's a micro transaction riddled scam designed to pressurise children into fleecing their parents out of money because of the FOMO. A glorified freeware mobile game.

Well a) you assume I'm referring to everyone who didn't like it but I'm not as not all of those people review bombed it and sent death threats to the devs and b) the vast majority of negging this game got did come from right-wing trolls.

Can't wait for this, they need to cap the trilogy and finish Ellie's story once and for all. It's too big an IP for them to let slide. Plus it'll p*ss off all the right-wing trolls who negged on TLOU2 last year.

However, before they do that I'd like to see the remake cancelled as there's no need for one and instead have TLOU1&2 upgraded for the PS5 with higher framerates and resolutions.

This is great news and proof that the scalpers haven't made nearly the impact as people think they've had.

I got mine on day one completely hassle free. I feel for those who've been struggling since as I obviously got lucky. Bought it from Game when they went on pre-order the night before they were supposed to. I don't think anyone had spotted it at that point and I had time to casually stroll through the online checkout with no queues.

Since then I know several people who have picked one up with perseverance so it's not the reality that they're all going to scalpers.

CP is fundamentally broken at it's core level. No amount of patching can polish this turd. CDPR should just hold their hands up and admit defeat, refund everyone and make The Witcher 4 instead.
