Easily one of the PS4’s best games. I loved every minute and didn’t want it to end.

Astro Bot on PS5 was also amazing and was definitely my game of the year in 2024. But even that couldn’t reach the level Astro Bot on VR did. An absolutely mind blowing experience.

Such a shame so many people missed out on it. They really should’ve brought it to PSVR2 as well.

@Slideaway1983 I don’t know what it was, I just couldn’t get it done. Must have tired about 50 times. I’ve done pretty much everything else. Maybe I’ll give it another go.

Where is the cheat to instantly win the gym mini game? Haha.

@danzoEX My problem wasn’t with Chadley, it was the mini gym game. I don’t know what it was, I just couldn’t get it done. So I gave up on the platinum. Haha. I doubt any of these “cheats” will help me with that. 🤯

Love a bit of Ace Combat. Hated Air Combat, didnt play Ace Combat 2, but loved Ace Combat 3 and since then, it’s been one of my favourite franchises.

Really gutted this isn’t getting PSVR2 support. The 3 missions in Ace Combat 7 were mind blowing.

Aces of Thunder for PSVR2 is getting some good reviews though, definitely getting the deluxe version of that and breaking the Hotas out again at the weekend.

@ear_wig I’ve been looking at a few 100” TV’s and TCL keep coming up in all the stuff I’m reading or watching. Theirs is 1 of 3 I’m looking at, LG and Samsung being the other 2. Moving in June, so I’ll be pulling the trigger on one then. Maybe TCL will be the way I go, let’s see.

It’s happened to me multiple times. Need For Speed Most Wanted on PS3 was another with the fences. Ended up being one I was 100% sure I had already got.

Star Wars Jedi Survivor more recently too. Back track, back track, back track… oh that was it. Hah.

Oh I’ve got a standard copy and the special one in the Kenner style blister pack. I actually really liked this game for some reason. Still not better than the N64 version though. What a game.

Another amazing year of games ahead. Way too many as usual. But GTA 6 is my ultimate most anticipated game. Really hope it hits the November date. 🤞

Death Stranding 2 for me. Utterly amazing in every way.

Great choice. Death Stranding 2 was one of the best games of the generation, never mind this year. Such an amazing journey. Loved every minute from the beginning to the platinum.

It’s an amazing game. Tons of content and a constant stream of free content being added. Easily one of the top PS5 games. If you have PSVR2, it’s a completely new level of gaming. Unbelievable.

Really looking forward to this. These types of games are perfect for VR.

Just wish Ace Combat 8 had PSVR2 support. The missions in Ace Combat 7 in VR were mind blowing.

@get2sammyb it’s well worth it. Star Wars Squadrons and Ace Combat 7 were great with it in PSVR too.

Star Wars Episode I: Racer, aside from the visuals, still holds up today. I had loads of fun replaying it in PS4 and Xbox One. Bought it on Switch too but haven’t played it yet.

If this can take that gameplay and add a Burnout spice to the flavour with the Star Wars license, I’m all in.

Death Stranding 2 is easily my game of the year. Some amazing games this year, but Death Stranding 2 blew me away. Platinumed it and didn’t want it to end.

Ooh nice. I bought that for Ace Combat and Star Wars Squadrons in VR and it was great. Cool to at it will work with Flight Simulator too. Looking forward to playing it on PSVR2.

@get2sammyb Birmingham City and the area in general. My memory was a bit of the Bullring and a couple of buildings looked “3D” modelled but the rest and 100% the surrounding areas were flat with terrible imagery. I remember Villa Park looked like a squashed low res JPEG haha.

Just wondered if the city was one of cities that got a much better update.

@get2sammyb What’s Birmingham like these days? I played it when it first came out for Xbox a few years ago and it looked like a 2 years olds paper mache project.

As others have said, because of the amazing support and free content this game has had over the years, I’ll 100% buy this in support of them. Brilliant game. One of PS5’s best and one of the best VR games ever made.

I absolutely love the Dead Rising games so this is great news. Might boot up Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package for some Christmas violence. Hahaha.

Highly recommend both, but if you only have time for one, Star Wars was surprisingly good. Throwing and catching a lightsaber Mjolnir style is awesome. Haha.

Echoing what has already been said. Artful Escape was awesome and the soundtrack was outstanding. I’m really looking forward to this, I’ll be there day one for sure.

Really looking forward to Yas Marina in PSVR2. All the tracks look amazing in VR and Yas Marina at night is going to be awesome.

I played a bit of Tsushima again just before Yotei, just to remind myself of the game. I’m glad I did because Yotei feels better in almost every way. But I wonder if I hadn’t, would my mind have said, this is just more of the same. Probably.

Ah, damn. I predicted the last week of October. Big shame, but I still wouldn’t be surprised if it slipped again. Until I have it installed, I won’t believe it. Haha.

They just need to give us a GTA IV remaster to tide us over.

I started this the day it came out and really enjoyed it. But then Ghost came out and I haven’t been back since. I really need to get back into it. Might try and spend a few hours on it this weekend.

Really looking forward to their Flatout VR, hope it’s not too far away.

@get2sammyb I saw this and did think it looked cool. I’ve never touched Fortnite but I saw I get Fortnite Crew with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Just had a quick look at what that is and none of it really made and sense. Haha. I’m guessing it’s all cross progression? If I start on Xbox I can use this Crew thing and continue on other platforms?

It’s an amazing device, works flawlessly and feels great to use. I’ve got two, white and 30th anniversary.

I had no idea the female protagonist was the issue. I hadn’t seen that anywhere. I thought it was both sides angry about that tweet, one side for saying it, one side for being fired over it.

Great game to just chill and listen to podcasts and music. Really good fun in VR too. Wish they would bring it to PSVR2.

@Jrs1 Same here, Fast & Furious: Arcade Edition for me and Wreckreation the week after. Decent couple of weeks for arcade racing games.

Playing on PS5 Pro in Ray Tracing Pro mode. Haven’t had a single crash… yet haha. The only thing that has glitched on me was one time I needed to press diagonal up-left and jump to continues climbing and it just wouldn’t recognise I was pressing it. Had to reload to last checkpoint and it worked fine after that.

I need to go back to this at some point. I enjoyed what I played, can’t remember what game I dropped it for. Looks like I have quite a bit of the DLC to buy. Year 1, 2 and 3. Haha.
