Re: PS5 Slim 30th Anniversary Console Restock Expected Today in the US

SoulChimera

For beep sake, people want them, stop making them so difficult to get. I wish they would just do open preorders for a week or even a month and if you miss it, you miss it.

If they want the console to be so limited it’s extremely rare, at least sell us the covers in the PSX colours.

I managed to get a DualSense controller, that’s it. I wanted to buy it all.

Re: Ex-PlayStation Exec Shawn Layden Says There's Been a 'Collapse' in Gaming Creativity

SoulChimera

Creativity is as strong as it’s always been.

I think the problem is the sheer volume of games. Thousands and thousands at our finger tips. Triple A, Indie, full price, sales, subscription models and freebies. It is overwhelming. So much slips through unnoticed.

I have the same issue with things like Netflix, I spend more time browsing and never get around to actually watching anything. I’m sure there is a ton I’ve missed out on over the years.

Re: How to Pre-Order PS5 Pro

SoulChimera

Got mine, console, drive and stand. Looking forward to November.

Would’ve been great to get the 30th Edition but with only a tiny quantity being made, we had no chance.

Re: Dark Fantasy Adventure The Midnight Walk Flares Up on PS5, PSVR2 in Spring

SoulChimera

It’s not something that I would be interested in playing on a TV but I’ll definitely get it to play on PSVR2.

The bigger PSVR2 news was Hitman (can’t see a story on it here?). It was brilliant on PSVR1 even with a Dual Shock controller.

I’ve been trying to play it on the Quest 3 for the past week and it’s so bad. It plays and looks like absolute crap. Really hope they nail it on PSVR2.

Metro looked great too. No mention of that either?

Re: The Borderlands Movie Barely Made Back Its Marketing Budget

SoulChimera

@FanCFeast It’s a lot bigger than people realise. The franchise as a whole is around 85 million sold, which places it with some of the biggest games of all time. Borderlands 3 sold 5 million in its first week.

I just don’t think it’s the kind of game that will get the gamers into the cinemas, especially when the casting is such a departure from the source material.

People that have no idea what is the game is, probably saw the trailer and just said “nope”.

Re: 25 Years Ago, Square Released the Best Final Fantasy Game

SoulChimera

Final Fantasy VII & VIII are the only two Final Fantasy games I’ve not had to force myself to finish. Both really great games.

Had the the first game on the NES but hated it.

Attempted to played IV, V and VI but never clicked with any.

IX, I absolutely hated and stopped after about 5 hours.

Finished X, bought X-2 but never started it (actually bought it on Vita too).

Then pretty much skipped them all until Remake and Rebirth, which I love.

I think this is the only franchise I’m familiar with that is so hit and miss for me.

Re: Street Fighter 6 Still Kicking, Over Four Million Copies Sold

SoulChimera

@PuppetMaster Yeah in the battle hub, the sign up counter on the left as you enter. At launch they deactivated them because it was broken, then about a month or two later they reactivated, but when you signed up, it was some crazy timing like 9pm the next day. I signed up for one, waited until the next day, got into the match and almost instantly it disconnected.

I think I need to get the play 3 games, win 10 times and then I think I have the Platinum on it.

Re: Street Fighter 6 Still Kicking, Over Four Million Copies Sold

SoulChimera

Great game, loved World Tour mode.

I put about 80 hours in at launch (which is a massive amount for me haha), but eventually moved on.

Anyone know what the tournament situation is these days?

I just needed those couple of tournament trophies for the Platinum, but when they eventually activated them, you had to wait like a day to take part in one.

Managed to get one to start and then it lost connection. Never went back, but I wouldn’t mind finishing it up one day.
