@JB_Whiting well I came at fighting games way before the films, and I do enjoy them for different reasons. The films for the art, style, story and ability (usually Stunts), the games for those moments when you get unbeatable. Tbh I'm still only good at ssf2t and everything else I don't think I've ever won a match online! I probably just need the practice and time, something which I don't have much of right now but hopefully will start again end of year.

Hmm this seems very ninja / dead or alive type additions, but at least those you get extra charectors as well as a lot of costumes. They are really expensive, but this is taking the biscuit.

One issue I have with the game is that there are so many currencies it's very confusing. Maybe I'm simple but why are there so many?

Well that sounds wicked. I wish all games did this sort of thing rather than DLC. I really enjoyed buying and playing this one and I'm glad I didn't have to pay any more post purchase. Refreshing!

Let's hope this is just as accessible to buy and not scalped just like most of everything else. The hope is that those with disabilities get these first.

How can a game which is this broken and plays this badly still get a 4? Surely this deserves less than 4 and should be punished for its lack of release quality?
Genuine question, do you have explicit criteria for what each score means? Like I guess something that doesn't even start up would be a 1, 2 is? Etc.

@Northern_munkey pretty standard practice. Did you pre order? Which mail supplier? Ideally it should be up to the seller (not the mail supplier) to resolve with the post company and not you as it has not been delivered yet. Maybe chase the supplier?

Hopefully this makes the game into something brilliant rather than just above mediocre (after all the recent patches). The game has potential, but after the initial botch up I'm not sure how many people believe in the game still. Let's see what the reveiws are like, I'm optimistic it can only get better!

Brilliant capcom is not repeating the SF5 launch debarkle, looks like they have gone the oppersit way and provided a great amount out of the box. I wasn't tempted to pre order but I may be tempted for a day one purchase as it does look great. I did enjoy one of the closed beta although I felt the matches could swing very quickly meaning it felt a bit like EA FIFA where a match can swing. Sounds like they have fixed that now. An ideal game for summer and hopefully quick or instant loading times on the ps5 will make this a fighter of choice for now (until Tekken 8)

Steam deck! Makes you realise what they have achieved with streaming battery life of 8 hours with it. Sorry this new Sony device has very little appeal....

Well I definitely won't be buying this now and waiting for gamepass. What a shame it has terrible microtransactions, it's bad enough with hot wheels etc where buying is forced down your throat, and my young 5 year old wants everything he doesn't have, which would cost me a fortune.

Shame, I'll give it a miss for now.

@OmegaStriver you know what, your right. Thanks for the refresher. I don't believe all first party games were that price, but yes the majority were. Also they have resalability which modern titles do not as much. However I will call out at the time pc games were from £10-30, which is my baseline of pricing. Then Dreamcast was £40, PS4 £50 etc. So the average has been gradually increasing and the format itself is now none existent (digital), so quite frankly it's all about profit and is of little benefit to the consumer.

Looks great but yet another game at $70, probably translating to £70. I'll hold off until a couple of weeks/months in and get a reduced price.
I wonder what the actual gameplay will be like?

@Green-Bandit same here. Tekken now seems a serious fighter where as sf6 seems like a Dreamcast type city vision. Just match up people and be done!

Why is everyone so mega pumped on this version and look less like reality? I know Tekken has not been close, but it didn't look so disproportionate as it does in this version. Everyone looks top heavy and would fall with any slight punch. Still, it's been too long since a Tekken game and I'm looking forward to it even if it looks quite wrong.

I would love some new levels. A proper paid DLC would be well received from me, although I normally hate DLC.

I guess we have to wait until this year or next for astrobot or a new sackboy....

Wow the technology in the ps5!

Honestly things like this baffle me as to why it takes so long to be practical. I always thought demos sell more games, so it doesn't make any sense that just over two years after launch they add this back in. It doesn't feel that technical either, so I'm really confused.

Still, I've just got a steam deck and I'm enjoying Tekken 7 on that. Also I've got loads of fighters on the ps5 I really need to get into anyway so all good. This gives me time to complete them all!

I'm sure it will play much the same, it will just look rather night. As long as we get near instant loading on ps5 - that's all I care about.

So what does the subscription give you over the pad alone? Sorry I missed that. The idea I pay £100 then £45 a year makes me sick. I'll stil with my razor which doesn't require a subscription and work. When you stop the subscription, does most of the functionally stop working?

It's too expensive! I own the normal PS4 version, unless the new one is free on ps ultimate - forget it!

@theMEGAniggle sure. It's insignificantly slower than my friend's one, but only by about 2%, so for the price, it's definitely worth it. I also didn't buy a heatsink - I went with the one provided (in built) and had no issues there.
Copying from the ps5 was fast and like most drives it runs slightly faster than the ps5's internal memory.
Had it about a month, no complaints so far.

Nothing like promotion for push square! I went with a Kingston fury renegade 1tb for £109 and that's been fine. Not sure what the extra £70 is for other than branding...

Looks a bit basic, but I like the look of those mini games! They could make the game sega like and maybe worth the price of admission!

Whoever is playing that in demo is some kind of machine... I must say they make the game look humanly impossible, but I guess that's the whole idea of bullet hell games. Andrenilin mode - on! Let's go!

Is this all new animation or is this part of the main story mode? I've only just bought the game and I have been very slowly playing the tutorial, so if this is on story mode - that's going to be one to not skip!

My playstation is slowly becoming my fighting game console of choice, this looks like a fine addition to my ever growing list of fighting games I do and don't play enough. For some reason, I'm playing dead or alive 6 on digital as it was recently reduced. Next up, I'll need to get a better fight stick than my current £60 jobby....

So this explains why I'm so bad online with fighters such as dead or alive 6 and street fighter on the ps5? It's not me, it's the console lag? Brilliant! I'm still good and not 20 years too old to play these games then! Hehe

So GT7 isn't a realistic car simulator any more, that probably falls to assetto corsa competizione (which is virtually unplayable without a steering wheel), but with a wheel it gets pretty close, and that's enough. Shame there isn't enough single player content to keep going for months, the menu books are not quite enough. I pre ordered this, completed, and have not really played since. I don't play online because I can't win, and I don't own a steering wheel, so what I can do on this game is pretty limited now. Shame, I bought the ps5 to play it, I thought it would have a complete single player mode like gt1, where I could buy and sell cars for ages, but it's not quite that game yet. Let's hope they add the resale aspect soon!

This could be perfect for the switch as well. Fingers crossed they intend to release this there too

I would much rather a physical resurgence rather than a game representation. Man I miss pinball, something that's seemingly impossible to emulate. There are far too many in private ownership Vs the arcade. I'll buy one myself when funds and space materialize, but I better get in quick as they are only going up in value!
