Don't quite understand people saying Clair Obscur is overrated recently in the comments; the game was exceptional and a true work of art. We get games like that so rarely, delighted for the team and all involved to get their flowers at the show (pun intended!!)!

Is there more context to why tensions between China and Japan cause the delay? Is it that Chinese players wouldn't want a Japanese themed area right now?

These articles are great when the whole bullpen give 3 predictions. The Game Awards aren't super exciting TBF so I can see why you don't go with that idea. Nothing too exciting in the predictions here

3 things I'd like to see from articles like these;

1 - I've mentioned before that it's quite a lot of scrolling, if this can be condensed while keeping the page no. so you can get your ad revenue that would be great.

2 - The euro prices would be a big help (though maybe there's inconsistencies though-out Europe).

3 - I think raising the minimum score to an 8 would really cut down the amount of games and focus on the bangers.

This has great personality especially this far from release! Very polished looking. However I can't see yet another fantasy live service game doing well, all the best to the team

Hmmmm the graphics are very modern yes, but it's pretty generic. Gameplay seems pretty PS3-coded, which is fine, but as someone pointed out the animation transitions are very rough. It feels quite like a gameplay trailer from E3 of old, staged but it has promise. I don't know, I've seen so many generic trailers over the years for games that come and go without making a splash that I can't really get excited for this

I think the big issue is that the piece is uninspired and derivative, and most folks know ai art is quite bad and rubbish, so to equate unoriginal artwork with AI makes total sense. Plus, Fortnite certainly did use AI for some of the art so why wouldn't this be too.
Also, folks complaining about people having an issue with ai are so tiring. Just acceptance at everything getting worse and worse, and just shrugging their shoulders at people who care about the quality of products, art, and life itself. Exhausting

Also it's so exhausting the people in the comments saying "ai is inevitable" or just being defeatist. What are you folks even on about? This is the reason the world is so bad, people have no imagination that we can have better or hold corporations to account

Thanks for holding these blatant ai uses to account, Push Square! These are such blatant basic, rubbish ai generations. Cheapens Playstation and shows what they think of their consumers

Both GoW R and Spider-Man 2 felt way too much like their past games. Maybe if the games are shorter it wouldn't be such an issue. I was delighted to get an Uncharted every 2 years when they were 10-12 hours each.
Haven't jumped into Forbidden West or Yotei yet as I played both their original games for 40+ hours and had my full of their gameplay

Probably the worst thing Sony have going for this game is how many people seem he'll belt on it failing! Not a multiplayer guy but I hope it does well, the art style alone is so compelling I hope it sends a signal that developers can be more visually ambitious

Ai for art? I had no interest in this game before but that's disgusting. No the k you, and if that's the company Sony keep it might be time to look at other platforms like the Steam Machine

Fine waiting for Horizon 3; I'm only now getting the feeling to play the 2nd one! These Sony games are becoming so long and so simir to each other that it takes a long time to get the hunger to play another

I think that was objectively quite a good showing, but there's wasn't 1 game I'll probably play 😅 A lot of games that really blended into each other though, that's an issue for the industry at large

@Donrenardo I think it's mainly the art stlye that puts me off, and the fact it's so popular; I want to be a contrarian so bad haha! I loved Sleeping Dogs back in the day, so maybe I'd like it if I gave it a chance!

As an artist, I think this looking a little rough. A few more round of polish could get this there though. BGs in particular are feeling very flat, but cool to see more 2d platformers!

I can see the mass market not seeing a real need to upgrade to the PS6, especially if the economy isn't very hot. Having a premium device with obvious upgrades for the hardcore could be a good play

Animations in 3rd person look super floaty and strange in the trailer; what might look god in 1st person doesn't always work in 3rd. However, fair play to Ubisoft and the team for updating the game. I'm sure it was a tonne of work

A great studio; would prefer them to stay independent but if this is what they need to stay going then okay! I would be worried what would happen to them as a 1st party though

Sale is pretty meager by the looks of it; will check on regularly though to see if there are any discounts. Not crazy about any of the clothing though, shame they couldn't capitalise more on their great art and characters

Currently level 88 in this and making my way through all the late-game content. Exploration is so much fun in Clair Obscur so I'm excited to keep going!
