Re: French Trade Union Calls on Ubisoft Paris Workers to Strike Following CEO's Comments

SeanOhOgain

Yves Guillemot's comments were outrageous. Complete mismanagement of the company for years now;
-Chasing NFTS and battle royale trends
-Investing only in mega franchises to the detriment of smaller titles

  • Pulling out of Steam
  • Investing in Stadia
  • Doubling down on the Ubisoft open world model with little to no innovation
  • Multiple Sexual Misconduct allegations and the perpetrators shielded
    etc. etc.
Ball is in HIS and his team's court to steer the company towards a wiser and more sustainable future. A pay increase in line with inflation makes plenty of sense, many workers around the world are asking for same. And the implementation of a 4 day work week is proven through multiple studies to be more productive and better for team morale. No brainer.

Re: 15 PS5, PS4 Predictions for 2023

SeanOhOgain

I can't lie, these are super boring and really safe predictions. There's nothing cold or
revelatory here, or even fun. Liam at least made more specific predictions, but the rest are pretty broad, and pretty much expected.
An articleile this should surely make one think, or see something new or a different perspective. I know Sony has been pretty boring the last few years but you could have at least tried to have a bit more ambition with the predictions imo

Re: Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (PS5) - Faithful Take on the Guardians Really Rocks

Played this over Christmas, really enjoyed it! Really suprisingly fantastic writing and acting, but it definitely overstays it's welcome. A good 5 hours could have been shaved off my 20 hour play through.
I played on my family's base PS4 and the game was very buggy, very bad frame rate last third of the game.
But overall, I'd agree with an 8 and really enjoyed my time with the game! Shame there won't be a sequel

Re: God of War Ragnarok: Is It Good on PS4?

SeanOhOgain

Ah this is super to hear; I preordered the game after hearing how stable and well it runs on PS5 and assumed it would be the same for PS4.
Shoes when teams take/ are given the time to deliver quality it's possible. Great we have Santa Monica showing you can release games in fantastic states at launch!

Re: EA's Wild Hearts Has Big Next-Gen Toukiden, Monster Hunter Vibes in PS5 Gameplay Reveal

@AFCC As I replied to a few others, I'm not against the short time frame of announcement to release. That's a really exciting and interesting way to launch games.
My contention above was with the timing; folks are already geared up for the Autumn and winter releases, and Spring s jam packed with games. Hard to build interest in that environment I would have thought, competing for attention and launching in a super crowded window.
It's not a genre I'm interested in so I'm very curious to see how the launch goes and to reflect on my assumptions!
