Levine’s games are good shock value the first time you play but he tends to retread themes and his storytelling lacks nuance. I might watch a let’s play but I doubt I will buy this.

The older I get and the more unaffordable the housing market becomes, the less interested in amassing a horde of stuff I become. When your housing situation is temporary (even if you stay for a few years) you have to be ready to move and that has a cost. Movers, maintaining an apartment deposit (as you usually want to have your next apartment lined up before you move out) storage unit rental and just the time sink of re-setting up a place every time you move is exhausting.

Plus depending on where you can afford to live, it is anxiety inducing having tons of high value items. At this rate i will be in my 50’s before I can afford a house and I will be heading towards declutter/prep for retirement phase. Plus if you play a lot of games finding that sweet spot between a great discount and before it becomes hard/expensive to procure means that digital is usually available longer with a price cap. How many second hand games sell for hundreds? Not worth it anymore.

I just wanna play games. You can’t take it with you in the end and age means you have a time limit before you have to exit the hobby anyway. Digital gives me just as much access. I have easy access to hundreds of games on my Nintendo Switch and I don’t have to change cartridges. PC has done just fine all digital.

People really do take fandom too far. They become obsessive, many violent or they sexualize characters/objects that were not intended to be viewed in such a way. It one of the reasons companies have to be so vigilant over IP because people take things too far. And that’s before they get to attacking/obsessing over the creators or actors/models involved. Way too many people with no chill ruin the experience for everyone.

After playing the new Zelda games I agree. I still find myself traveling normally to many places instead of using the fast travel system as much. It really is about immersion and distraction. Same with the Spiderman games.

I will just wait until the game is dirt cheap or on gamepass like the rest of them.

Always happy to see improvements to the Pawn System. The Pawn System makes dragon’s dogma such a fun game.

Hackers need to be waterboarded. The damage they cause (I am talking the employee info they stole) has long lasting effects.

@Blacksmith1985 Lower price, large library, cheaper/bargain bin priced games, still getting new games. By the time a person buying a ps4 now is ready to move on the PS6 should be out and the PS5 is cheaper. So they get to do it again and have BC.

People have got to understand, the majority of people that own consoles only play a small subset of games. Software attach rate is usually fairly low in comparison to the total library of a system. And live service drives it lower as you can just play one game until the ens of life of a system. That is partly why devs that need a lot of money have shrunk their output to known sellers (with publisher push) and partly why companies are obsessed with micro transactions. They don’t make that money back otherwise. This list doesn’t surprise me at all.

Considering the fact that he can access consumer and employee information and he is unwilling to stop being a criminal I say the punishment is apt. I think he deserves jail (especially for the violent crimes) but at least he can’t disrupt the lives of anyone else. Hacking has a real cost and impact. It isn’t some minor thing. People’s lives and livelihoods are impacted when someone thinks they are having fun in the matrix.

@ShogunRok So if you have versus is there any type of update dlc or anything to cut the price? Or is this considered a standalone/soft reboot?

The release date still dumps it out of day 1 (and perhaps launch window) for me as Princess Peach, Dragon's Dogma 2 and Legend of Legacy HD all come out same day (and Unicorn Overlord at the beginning of the month), but still looking forward to playing!

@LifeGirl You haven't read the comics in a REALLY long time huh? MJ has even been Spiderwoman (with no powered Peter Parker) a few times. I know you miss 1962, but things have changed...a lot. Granted if you are stuck in the 60's it does mean you didn't have to read Pete sell his marriage to Mephisto (and his Daughter as she was going to be Mephisto's downfall) because he just can't let Aunt May stay dead...again.

If it does I hope I can play as Jessica Drew. Motorcycle Spiderwoman sounds amazing for gameplay. Actually they can bring out a ton of the spider totems that get overlooked gaming wise....Silk, Julia Carpenter (I'd like her pre Madame Webb), Spiderling, Exiles MJ, BRING BACK MAYDAY Parker...there are a lot of Spider people to pull from.

I just want DC to sue him at this point. Anyway we should stop giving this lowlife engagement so I am done reacting to his stupidity. Get a job, creep.

I haven’t played either game nor have I watched the game awards in a long time but honestly the professional thing to do was not respond. Not a thing he said impacted anyone’s livelihood (at worse his own if that) so why make it impactful?

@Spider-Kev plenty of work from home/non customer facing jobs. His only barrier to working is himself. My mother did vocational rehabilitation for 50 years… someone will hire him so long as he has reliable transportation and isn’t a danger (uncontrollable) to others. Looking like a DC reject isn’t an excuse. Also there is makeup.

Looks good but I don’t know if I can handle fallout live action. The inherent distance of a game makes the setting less depressing. At least the ghouls dont look as stomach turning as they could.

Welp still not for me. Would love to see what rockstar can do with a game where you aren’t a criminal.

Nope. Not for me. I will stick with the switch for hybrid gaming.

I’m mostly using it to play PS4 games as I skipped the Pro and only have like 7 PS5 games. Overall it’s been underwhelming but that isn’t a bad thing. Lets me focus on the backlog or picking up old games I didn’t realize I was missing. This is probably my last PlayStation for a while. As my PS5 library looks like it will be really small (if I hit 40 games I will be surprised… I have never had such an issue getting to 10 games before this gen) so not a good ROI.

Switch has more games I want to play, gamepass gets me a huge library to cover whatever doesn’t end up on Switch (or demo if it does), so PS is mostly exclusives or if a game got ported so badly to switch (and not on xbox) that I throw up my hands and buy it there. Still a functional console so while indifferent I don’t dislike the console. Also lovely 4k blu ray player.

Npcs do get repetitive so it would be neat to see them not only have more to say but maybe react to the player. If you say something that annoys them, they (if not an important character) ignore you or try to avoid you.

Wow you can tell how many people only read comics as children or did their absolute best to ignore the entire spiderverse. Pete hasn’t been the only Spider for DECADES. And Miles (originally from a universe where Pete is dead as a doornail mind you) has been Spiderman for over a decade. Honestly this is a long time coming. Games used to embrace comics and all their different characters. Instead of forcing the same retread a million times. Read the comics, you will be surprised how much has changed in 60 years.
