Welp I think that will be my last ps5 game. I have 10 ps5 games and at this point 7 of them have gone to pc (or xbox which is where I would have purchased if I had the same choice originally). . Since I purchase sony systems as exclusive boxes it looks like my best bet is to migrate back to PC. This solidifies that I won’t be getting a PS6 or Xbox successor. Just PC and Switch 2. Looks like I will have the same game access with less system spread. Will start saving for a GTX 5090.

I am not reading this as I want to avoid spoilers but whew am I looking forward to this game. Got the CE preordered and paid for. Just waiting for launch.

My most anticipated game of the year and I am avoiding all spoilers but I do hope they try to devolve the parkour a bit. What I loved about older AC games (the first one especially) was that you had to plan your path up buildings. Looking for cracks and hand holds. It was slower sure but more realistic and imo more fun. That has long since been traded for leap and sprint jumps that are faster but look more unrealistic. And while the recent game engine doesn’t turn you into a spider totem, it is more forgiving about your path. I hope Ubisoft toned that down a bit. I will love the game either way but I still hope.

Edit: I have heard that Yasuke and Naoe climb differently (as they should) and i am looking forward to playing through twice as either character. I am hoping that has an impact on the ending but don’t expect it.

Well that sucks. I was hoping it would go to xbox eventually but since that seems to not be the case I will add it to my ps5 purchase list.

While I am glad MS is going console agnostic, they already said there will be a new xbox. As long as they make their controller ad BC content, they can have my money. I just want Sony to stay invested in PC.

It always weirds me out when people pull the “looks like a man” card. And then point at lack of hair. Because that for one ignores a women’s fashion statement as bald/shaved/cropped hair isn’t new in women’s fashion (it isn’t even edgy anymore) and for two ignores that women have genetics that factor into hair growth including length. My 4c hair doesn’t go past my shoulders (not that one can tell because I wear it naturally and my hair is in an afro). Is it body type? Because both the character and obviously the actress she is based on look like women. I know the plastic surgery industry has made it hard to recognize natural female physical characteristics but geeze this is insane. We have no gameplay no nothing to be this up in arms about and the crazies are having strokes about hair? Apparently men are way more fashonistos than I am. Because not even mean girls in high school sound like this.

@JuiceboxMeister I didn’t enjoy the uncharted games although I do have all of them so I did give the series a chance (hence why I have not seen the movie) but my assumption is distilling it down to an hour or two might make a better impression on me.

Personally I love it. It is why PC had pushed for xbox controller support for the past 3 consoles and the more they blur that line the less boxes I have to buy.

I guess I need to see the uncharted movie now. I liked the trailer so I am curious as to how this game will shape up.

So essentially people had been playing as the “Aragorn (or arguably the Bilbo)” in 1-3 and now the game is switching to the “Frodo” based on the book lore. So what is the issue again? I didn’t enjoy the first 3 witcher games but the show has gotten me interested in the lore (no interest in reading the books still though) so I am curious to see how the story progresses. So I will keep my ear to the ground.

I liked 6, Primal and BD but I am certain that ths franchise isn’t for me.

I’m excited for the game personally. But crazies gonna crazy.

Maybe this is the game that gets me into the gaming franchise. Geralt is a block of cement. No interest in reading the books.

I’m stepping away from RgG/LAD/Yakuza so this might be a fun spin off.

Really hope this has Japanese audio. Otherwise very happy to see a favorite franchise of mine back. Could use a remaster of 2-4 so I can retire my PS2.

Y’ALL I am straight up crying right now. I feel like the dragon has been awoken from slumber. I was ready to step away from gaming after a few releases I want in 2025 come out. Was even concerned that I might be out growing the hobby. But no I simply needed games that I wanted to play. Nintendo has kept me engaged but there are certain games they don’t make. And I feel like almost every lost franchise that I love is getting some kind of attention right now. (Still waiting on TES6) Okami sequel, Onimusha, Shinobi, Ninja Gaiden side scroller…modern games like ghost of yotei and AC Shadows so much getting added to my hype list. I really need these games to be good but I haven’t felt this much anticipation in a while (as in for MULTIPLE games). Please be good. I may get back into stick building over this. Years of survey polls and emails to SEGA may have finally been answered. Cannot wait to see the VFCD response.

I hate that super sentai games are pretty much dead in Japan.

Wrapping up the post game but happy to knock this one out. Will probably eventually replay in full Japanese as the localization as usual is terrible. Loved the additional threads to 1 and 2.

I do hope 4-6 get the same treatment.

Sony can’t release the actual numbers? Anyway Nintendo doesn’t really care but sales trajectory (without a price cut) show they will still pass 160 M. Price cut just determines how long that will take.

3DS version is the remaster. A remake might be nice though. Have it look similar to XI.

This is the AC I have been waiting for after the modern day storyline has gone off the rails (imo death of Juno) but i don’t know if they can piece the modern day narrative into a coherent story at this point, for me at least. As such for me AC:S will be my final AC but I am going all out (CE and hidden blade are preordered). For me I cared about the modern story to keep me interested in the series as not every assassin or locale/culture was fun/interesting to me so at this point with the modern storyline to pot I am just riding out finally going to Japan. I feel like losing Desilets (and possibly May) put the franchise in a slow crash and burn trajectory.

From the PC perspective the original is a more recent release and now there is “already” a remaster? I bought the original for PS4 day 1 and I still felt it was too soon for a remaster. So I can see users with machines just as or more powerful than a PS5 not being bothered (especially if they aren’t aware what has changed). That being said I hope sony stays the course. They keep going all in for PC and i don’t have to buy a PS6. Win win for me.

@AfroMario I never said that. I asked if young teens are listening to these artists. When I was a teen it wasn’t popular to listen to artists that debuted 3-4 decades ago. (Not saying I didn’t listen to old music but it was still considered old. Which is my point.) That’s the logic. And since none of the folks replying to me are teens my question still stands.

I really hope so. But I am working on Odyssey (just got back from Greece too so it hits harder) and Mirage (tried Valhalla and I hate it so I may have to youtube it) to tide me over. Shadows and Ghost of Yotei are my most anticipated AAA games next year. Super excited for Shadows. Making room for my shiny new statue!!
