Batman Arkham Rumour

Rumours of a new Batman: Arkham title being in development have been doing the rounds for years at this point, and we guess that it's time for another one. This latest "leak" comes from a supposed game tester over at Warner Bros., and that's more than enough to make you doubt it from the start. Of course, numerous websites are already reporting on this like it's somehow credible, when it sounds like nothing but nonsense to us.

It's got all the hallmarks of a phoney rumour. The project, supposedly named Batman: Arkham Crisis, "aims to be Game of the Year" in 2019. So yes, it's apparently launching this year. Developer Rocksteady has only been working on it for two years, despite the fact that it's open world, with a map that's specifically 1.5 times bigger than the one in Grand Theft Auto V. Uh huh.

It'll have co-op, you'll fly around in the Batwing, it'll have 12 chapters each an hour long, and every side quest will specifically be three hours in length. This game tester's really been doing their homework.

Look, Rocksteady is working on something, we know that much, and it has been for a while. First it was more Batman, then it was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, then it was Superman, and now we're back to Batman again. That this rumour has even managed to get to a point where we're having to write this article is baffling -- it's basically fan fiction.
