I find it odd whenever people talk as if the only thing Sony ever had lined up for the fall/winter/holiday 2015 season was Uncharted 4. I doubt they only ever had that one game ready to go.
I find it hard to believe that Sony might partner up for Call of Duty this fall, but then, they already did work with Activision for Destiny, and it would make sense for Activision to want to promote CoD on the console with far higher sales. It's a toss-up. Sony already has Batman and Star Wars, apparently.
I imagine it's a similar story worldwide. I live in the State of Best Buy, and in every Best Buy here, Nintendo as a whole takes up less shelf space than the PS4 or XBO by themselves. That includes leftover Wii and DS bits, Wii U, 3DS, and Amiibo. The company needs to just go third party--and it took me a long time to come to this realization, but their hardware is just a massive hurdle that consumers and gamers are not interested in leaping.
Per the topic at hand, I'm curious why Sony hasn't done price cuts like this in the US, where MS is clearly maintaining their "$350 promo price" without an end date. I guess the PS4 is selling well enough here as is.
Oh yeah, hadn't considered that. Who really paid attention to the main story in Skyrim? Pretty much no one. I loved Kingdoms of Amalur, but not sure I really recall the main story itself.
Witcher is built around it's strong narrative, so I hope it doesn't get diluted.
My team only just got approval from Sony, and the difference between how Sony does things and how Nintendo does things is night and day. In case you were wondering, yes, Sony seems to be doing everything better. Even their dev websites are better designed.
Geez, who's had the time to play through this multiple times already? I'm still on my first playthrough. Happy to see the load times are not only lessened, but that the loading screens are not so bland. It was weird to me to see a loading screen with no other tidbits or information on it. I was sure most developers were implementing this as a standard. Hell, it is a standard for Microsoft, at least it was on the X360.
I still haven't played the first game, so now I have a spoiler to look forward to. Oh well. The first inFamous I actually really played was First Light, and enjoyed Fetch as a character. The Avengers-styled "get lots of characters together" sounds like a cool idea, though.
I only played online once so far and didn't notice any major issues, but after all these patches, hopefully it'll be smooth sailing when I go online again.
I don't even see why pre-ordering digital matters. It's not like they're going to run out of digital stock on launch day.
Now, if I could pre-order physical games on the Playstation store and have them shipped to me either with a small discount, no tax, or free launch-day shipping, that would be a good incentive. I'd love to go with the PS store over GameStop or Best Buy (both of whom have sold my pre-orders before), but only if I can get physical games on there, or exclusive special editions.
It's like Dark/Demon's Souls/Bloodborne in how it plays and it's difficulty. Bought it for my girlfriend for our anniversary, and once she understood what she was doing, she really started enjoying it.
I haven't entirely noticed anything, except in that I've had trouble getting Kung Lao's long combo to work. This is a pretty interesting feature and I'll have to give this a shot and see what happens.
She's like the epitome of the pretty girl filled with ugliness.
Oh well. Doesn't matter to me. I just want more of the Metal in Spotify. And less Metallica in Thrash lists. Way more OverKill, Sodom, Destruction, Kreator, and Testament.
I spent the entire night laughing. When you think about it, this game is insanely gruesome, and staggeringly realistic in those depictions, so there has to be a sense of humor about it, or it borders on just flat-out disgusting and gruesome--something that feels like it'd appeal to only the most psychotic out there. MK has to be able to laugh at itself because it's just so absurd. Instead of being appalling, it's humorous. Instead of nausea, it delivers giggles. It's so much fun through and through.
My girlfiend watched me perform an X-Ray on someone that pretty much destroyed a spine and commented "I really don't expect him to keep fighting after that."
My only retort was along the lines of "but it's Mortal Kombat."
I haven't started Story yet. I just wanted to screw around and get my bearings, but even in that time, I found the writing surprisingly enjoyable.
Sub-Zero and Kenshi meet.
Sub-Zero: "I too have a sword." Kenshi. "Yes. ...made out of ice."
The subtle dig as Sub-Zero was just brilliant.
Even the trophies are hilarious. "Trolling" for crouching 30 times during a Fatality sequence. "Blanch Advantage" for hitting someone with an old lady.
This is my first foray into a "Souls" style game, and I'm really loving it so far. Still trying to get a grasp on everything therein, but so far, an awesome game that deserves the sales.
There's some pretty stupid DLC in there--pay to not play the game kind of crap. But, it's optional and I'm getting the GameStop limited edition with all the Season Pass stuff in it anyway, so I won't be paying anything else. I was sucker/MK fanboy enough to get the Season Pass, I can handle the unlocks myself.
I feel the same way. No wonder we, as a society, have such childish attitudes towards nudity and the human body. Everybody has nipples, for crying out loud.
Honestly, murdering and eviscerating people is okay, but holy crap, don't show a nipple! Because a natural part of the human body will mess you up. This is pretty stupid censorship. There's hardly any nudity in the game as it is.
I was already unlikely to get a new Guitar Hero, but the addition of FMV is just kind of embarrassing. I can already picture the lame canned FMV clips being poorly cut together, while terrible actors act terribly.
I was against EA Access from the start. Individual publishers do not need these damn unnecessary subscription services. Sony is smart to avoid it, even it it means later access to Star Wars.
Though I am curious if anyone is bothering with this service on the XBO.
Jessica Chobot's weird-looking character model won't be in the game this time? Let's hope that's the case because that'll be a relief. That was such an obvious and unnecessary shoe-horned in character if ever there was one.
Ha, totally agree with him that they can't necessarily listen to consumers. Consumers frequently have terrible ideas which is they they're consumers and not creative types. Consumer feedback is what led to the Atari 5200 being the size of a house boat and, because Atari clearly didn't learn their lesson, was also the reason the Atari Lynx was originally designed for Ice Giants and not regular-sized humans.
Also, for the ultimate list of terrible ideas, look at any article about "who should be in Smash Bros." Consumers are just... just awful.
Looking back, as much as I found Seth annoying in SFIV, he was leagues better than Azazel in Tekken 6 because there can hardly be a dumber idea for a fighting game than a dragon that you fight by punching it in the kneecaps.
I agree with this completely. I would like to be able to plug in an external harddrive. The internal ones that fit in the PS4 only go up to 2TB right now.
I think it's a good idea to include them, but I usually only have the time to play through any game once. Right now, have decided it's time I finish the Walking Dead that came with my Vita.
I played MK9 online only briefly, and usually lost. Once, when I did win, I received a message from the guy I beat who apparently believed he had been bested by a small bundle of sticks.
I still need to play the third game. Need a powered HDMI splitter to get the PS3 and X360 plugged back into my receiver (got a lot running through there right now).
I expect this to happen eventually as Sony spearheaded the "HD remake" concept last generation.
I only used the old Playstation Home on the PS3 once, didn't understand anything about, and forgot about it. I'm mixed on something like this, purely because it doesn't really appeal to me. But, I'll keep an open mind and give it shot when and if it arrives.
I already have Bastion on the X360 (where I still need to finish it), but after I read about Tower of Guns, that game has my attention. Can't wait to get home!
This guy is still better than the previous jackasses who, somehow, feel that threatening to destroy families with government intervention is a good idea.

Re: So, You May Want to Clear Up Your PS4 Hard Drive Before Downloading The Elder Scrolls Online Beta
