We see you

Well, if you had your hopes firmly set on a traditional Overlord game on PlayStation 4, you're going to be disappointed with what Codemasters has come up with. The franchise, which typically sees players assume the role of a comically evil tyrant who controls hordes of horrible minions, has been on hiatus for some time, but it's being resurrected with Overlord: Fellowship of Evil.

However, as hinted, this isn't quite what many fans would have wanted. With a focus on co-op, both online and offline, the title's all about combining the varied powers of four different playable characters – baddies who have been revived by the evil hordes as they search for new masters. Still, you'll be able to command minions all the same, and there's apparently going to be plenty of opportunities to screw your allies over. You are evil, after all.

Slated for release later this year, the downloadable title will set you back £14.99/$19.99. Check out the debut trailer, and then let us know if you're eager to lay waste to peaceful lands in the comments section below.
