Re: Assassin's Creed Fans Furious as Physical Copies of Black Flag's PS5 Remake Will Require Internet

@BAMozzy My man, you are getting way too worked up about this imho
I apologise and admit:
You were right. I was wrong.

Yet nothing you say will convince anyone with a physical library that you can not play these games indefinitly as long as they have an intact disc, harddrive, disc drive and whatever is necessary to actually play the game! The whole point of this exact interaction regarding technical playability is moot.

I won't reply to this any further and if you indeed feel the need to deepen the topic on here I can not help you. Enjoy yourself, stay healthy and reading you in another comment section.

Cheers

@x3King84 (#124) None of the comments are mutually exclusive. If you follow northern munkey's comments he gets most worked up about people being baffled by these decisions (eg "why even bother with a physical release"). The wording by @PushSquare is inflammatory as well (people being "furious", "fuming" etc) when it's just us not buying these games. We voice our opinion and get attacked. I mostly shrug, don't buy and move along. My PS4 disc will make me a pirate whenever I desire...
Thanks anyways for keeping the peace and giving the conversation nuance! 🫶

Re: Naughty Dog Embraced Crunch Culture After The Last of Us, as It's 'What It Takes to Make Games at Our Level'

@Stocksy (#16) First sensible comment after 15 comments praising wage slavery as something to be praised. Crunch is never to be accepted, as it's normalizes further exploitation other than the regular contracted one. The key is to organize the workplace, first and foremost by joining a union that backs workers against employer shenanigans.

Crunch is nothing more than peer pressuring workers to do even more than they actually have on their plate. This is in union with rising costs of living as rents and grocery prices, affordable healthcare (which itself shouldn't be tied to individual income), pushed through the necessity that some CEOs/shareholders have to have a bigger payday tomorrow that they had yesterday.

All on the backs of the people who actually do the work. Let's get back our autonomy and security by rallying together and make life more enjoyable by not taking any more of what always get told to us as mandatory. Look at Denmark for example.

Life must not be like this, and we have it in our hands, no Matter where you work!

Re: It's Official: Sony Spins Off Iconic Television Business

All negative comments I read are basically down to brand fetishism and sinophobic western propaganda. As if chinese tech companies aren't producing highest grade technology like smartphones, tablets and even cars. As if millions and millions of chinese consumers would be fine with inferior products. If Sony "make" garbage TVs from now on it's because they told TCL to produce them with the weak specs.
