Best news since Okami 2! The vibe, music, setting was so beautiful and crafted mainly after the balinese culture. Beautiful game. And agreed, harder-than-expected bosses haha
@Czar_Khastik Definitely am! I share these memories with my younger sister, she still occasionally plays it on Switch. I love everything about it (except you, in-fight-camera. You suck!). The best Zelda-like on Playstation, Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy second.
@pushsquare can't we have social functions on here? Maybe feasabilty would be an issue, but it's my go-to website for news regarding Playstation matters.
@ZeroE That's the best use of online multiplayer imho! And thanks for the attention, I guess. I own the physical trilogy, but gotten kind of exhausted after playing the, because I was new to turn-based combat. Story, setting and tone are peak, though!
@ZeroE (#9) I only dipped my toes into 2's demo, but it looked awesome. I wish you that 3 will be what you want it to be. Multiplayer online is just not for me. But what I took from 1 was pure bliss.
Yes yes yes, please. My one game when going on a deserted island (with all implications of getting a PS2 to even be playable, of course)! I'm expecting greatness of the sequel and it's thrilling to think about what Ammy and **** can expect "up there"! (Spoilers avoided) Listen to the soundtrack, yall!
Too bad, the whole city felt eerie and New York covered in snow is always a nice sight to behold. The game could have potential as a single player experience.
@Lavishturtle (#12) Exactly, and the one issue regarding hiring processes is still unaccounted. Also they STILL use generative AI, so it's an immediate pass. Without caring for workers or any processes involved in making consumer goods it's simply commodity fetishism in the gamer's part: Consume and don't ask questions! Companies (and ESPECIALLY their CEOs) are not your friends, people!
When a spade is a spade, then slop will always be slop. Won't ever buy just a single game that was made with genAI and I'll die by that sentence. The AI bubble will burst sooner rather than later, anyways.
@Makina (#74) imho Playstation should focus way more on the well of crativity that is Japan. Both countries have crazy problematic work cultures, but everything made in Japan for PS back in the day had way more to offer.
@Gbarsotini (#33) I will abandon new releases, then. I have a collection of games that could last for the rest of my life. If that's what the industry "needs" moving "forward" (read: fill CEO pockets) then I'm out. As of today I won't even consider buying a PS6 when available. That's my statement to all the genAI devs.
@Gbarsotini (#30) this is comparing apples with Apple NTFs: It's not about how the art is created. It's about that the tools that it's made with are stolen.
To say it's "necessary" and "inevitable" is pure commodity fetishism. Thanks for the heads up to never buy Level-5 ever. This is what willtrigger the next video game crash because the market will be even more greatly oversaturated with games that none of them will have the chance to break even. All folks looking forward to more simple consumerism of genAI-slop: Enjoy! 🫶

Re: 'These Guys Are Top of the Line': Actor Tony Dalton Talks Up Naughty Dog and Intergalactic
This is just marketing and I hardly believe Dalton is an expert on the subject of game development.
Re: Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Now Has the Most Game of the Year Awards Ever
Reminder: Elden Ring did all that without use of genAI during development.
Re: Yakuza's Makers Have Made Another Unforced Error
Psst, hey kids:
Buy physical games.
Re: Sony Needs to Move Mountains to Get Samson: A Tyndalston Story on PS5
I wonder if any genAI was used in development, considering the price and scope.

That's a grim outlook tbh. Who said we need a PS6 right now?
"What for?" would be my answer.

As long as this one has NOT used genAI in development I'm fine.
