The Division PS4

A new Definitive Edition of PS4 game The Division very much seems to be real, but new findings and leaks now suggest this may not be a huge, native PS5 enhancement as first expected.

Currently, on the PS Store, Ubisoft sells a Gold Edition of the original game. This packages the base game with its three post-launch expansions. According to new social media posts and graphics, this Definitive Edition is simply designed to replace that version and include some extra cosmetics and outfits on top.

Mav'Rick posted the following to BlueSky, complete with a graphic, claiming the new version will release in March 2026:

It was first thought a Definitive Edition of the game would bring the looter shooter natively to PS5, following a recent backwards compatibility enhancement. It's possible a true PS5 version of The Division will still release as part of this update, but it remains to be seen whether it'll actually look and run better. For now, at least, this appears to just be another complete edition of the title.

When played on a PS5, The Division now runs at 60 frames-per-second as a result of last month's patch. Have you gone back to the game as a result of that update? Let us know in the comments below.
