I thought this was coming. Went in to Tesco shortly after TOTK came out and noticed they hadn't stocked the game at all. Took a look at the other games there and noticed that they were missing some other recent releases.
I think the listing also made mention about two fighting styles; Yakuza and Agent. Yakuza is traditional Kiryu, whilst Agent involves gadgets and speed? Either way, I am excited to hear more.
Nome of the above. FF and Diablo are not my cup of tea, and whilst I like Street Fighter, I suck at fighting games so I would rather wait until the end of its life to pick it up with as much content as possible.
I can't say I am surprised that in a race to the bottom to churn out never ending sequels that studios would value writers less and less. That said, I still think there are a lot of good games out out there with decent stories so perhaps it is not a universal experience.
Also, I saw some comments above mention Yakuza which have brilliant stories, but at the same time, the first thing that popped into my head is rubber bullets.
I still remember the days of Street Fighter X Tekken with Disc Locked Content. Good times. But yeah, I typically wait for fighting games and DLC to become dirt-cheap now before I ever play them.
I mean, I guess it is technically better than what you can get on the market at present, but with regards to the original RRP (£450) it's hardly setting the world on fire.
The short hair for Cammy threw me off (not bad though). But otherwise, great design. Zangief looks like he got wider if that makes sense. Lily looks pretty fun to play.
Joined abour half-way through so missed the VR2 content. I basically saw a couple of fantasy type games (cool I guess) and the SF6 and RE4 trailers. Capcom definitely the MVP here.
I don't know if I am struggling to pay attention, but there was so much stuff on screen with Suicide Squad, I found it difficult to follow and get interested. There was a lot of visual flair, but the gameplay is definitely not for me.
Whilst I do intend on getting the platinums for the Yakuza games eventually, I have only managed to platinum Kiwami 2 so far. Yakuza 0 still has a few, but they are mostly missable ones which I can get when I repeat the playthough on Legend. The issue I am having is finishing off the completion list in Yakuza 0, specifically the batting minigame with earning 5 million yen. I will get it eventually...
There's like 4 games on PS5 out at the moment only that haven't been announced to go to PC. One of them is a remake. There are only three more with firm release dates so far, two of which are VR, and require a peripheral more expensive than the console you need to use it.
There is still no incentive to upgrade beyond perhaps some marginal improvements to your existing PS4 games.
Not got anything, but to be fair, I buy a lot of physical; if these codes are driven by data, perhaps they know it is a losing battle with me so not bothering. A pity really, there are a few indie games I wouldn't mind getting.
@NEStalgia Who knows at this point? Maybe there will be no price cut at all this gen. If so, I can't see myself getting one until the end of the generation or even at all if that is the case, but never say never I guess. Like I said though, I can wait.
@Ralizah No, I don't expect the price to drop anytime soon. Can't have Sony on the breadline now. As I said, I can just play the games on PS4.
I am aware of the concept of supply and demand. My original comment was a throw away; not meant to be a comment on cost-of-living and the cost of products in relation to or on market demand. I am aware it will not benefit Sony to drop the price; people will justify it somehow; people always do, and that is fine. Nonetheless, dropping the price is the next thing we can optimistically expect.
Maybe now they can start looking at lowering the price? Darn thing is more expensive now than it was at launch. I would ideally like one for the new Yakuza games, but if need be, will just play on PS4 instead.
Brought both on Switch. I already played through P4G on my Vita, and I did own P3P but couldn't get into it for whatever reason. After playing P3P for 6 hours, happy to say I am gelling with it a lot better this time. I will probably buy on PS4 eventually in a sale or whatever so i can do trophy playthroughs.
Still looking forward to playing this, but with the DLC announcement, waiting until the PS5 is cheaper to buy with a complete edition. Good to hear it doing well though, first was pretty good; also, Faro is a ****.
I was waiting for this prior to buying the game since I brought the first one as the complete edition. Now, the game goes on the backburner for another few years until the PS5 gets cheaper. Hopefully any bugs will be polished out by then.
Never really paid attention to Stars, so I saw free currency in the article, got excited... then realised that unless you have PS Plus, your rewards are limited to digital collectables with the exception of one campaign that gives you a whole 50 points. Feels designed for those who embrace the digital future.
Reading these comments, I really feel like copy pasting my comment from the PS5 Price Rise article. Cool if you willing to throw that much money away I guess.
As stated before, lessons were not learned. This is the equivalent of an NPC continuing to do a walk animation whilst hitting a tree. Just blissful ignorance.
Hopefully this stays as nothing more than a rumour. The game looks ****ing fine as is, and is perfectly playable on PS5. It is also already on PC so you can't even use that as an excuse.
Who am I ****ing kidding? It probably is real, and people will buy it full price just like TLOU part 1. We have truly reached levels of creatively bankrupt.
We will never learn. Truly, we are doomed to repeat our mistakes. The best I can naively hope for is that CDPR management learned the right lessons for this, but I am doubtful.
@darkswabber The RGG Studio head whose name escapes me right now mentioned during the livestream that they wanted to add characters from 0, 6, and 7 since the original had characters from 1-5. I know from the trailer we now have the 3 Dojima lieutenants from 0, with Joon-Gi Han and Adachi plus a few others I may have missed. No Ichiban curiously, unless they are saving him for later.
@SystemAddict "How strange to vote I have zero interest yet played through it already."
How so? The first question says Part I whilst the second does not, hence referring to the originals. It is possible to like the Last of Us and not care about the £70 remaster.
@Shepherd_Tallon If people saying this is acceptable aren't happy with paying more, they sure aren't acting like it. All I am seeing is defending poor old Sony. Poor old Jim-Jim won't get his second yacht. They'll go out of business.
Maybe I am exaggerating, but it sure feels like elitism and grandstanding. Regarding Sony not charging more at launch, okay, maybe they are not out of touch. Still greedy as ***** though, we both know they would have charged more to start if they think they could get away with it. Which then boils down to the same problem; rich ***** who are seemingly always happy to pay more, or even if they are not happy, seem comfortable accepting it. People give up so easily, and companies rely on that apathy to exploit more and more.
Regarding Microsoft raising prices in India, I also didn't know about that myself until minutes before you made your comment. That said, just because one company did it, doesn't make it acceptable.
Man, I love all this defending for Sony. They can do no wrong. Let's raise the prices even further; another £200 or so, I can pay it, it's not MY problem. **** all those peasants who can't afford it. Gaming is a luxury right?
I mean, I get being passionate about something especially gaming when most of us are enthusiastic hobbyists and the "filthy casuals" are intruding. But you guys are really fine with throwing more money at something for absolutely no benefit to anyone, including yourself. Mind throwing some money my way guys? If not, then stop insisting ***** like this is fine. You rich ***** are the reason companies keep getting away with this *****.
@invictus4000 "If their mind is determined to get something, it will happen somehow whether its considered affordable or not."
Where's my private jet? Should I steal it GTA-style?
Regarding the price rise; Sony can do what they want; they evidently don't care about the negative reaction; and you can hardly expect consumers to care about Sony's finances when their own is clearly limited. If Sony can still sell PS5s then good for them. Conversely, should they find that interest has dropped and by extent sales, then they can deal with it. Business is business, right? You win some, you lose some.
My advice to people who want to buy the PS5 but disagree with the increase of price in principal, is to hold-off buying; Sony will get the message eventually.
"Running at a better frame rate and apparently bundled with all of the previously released DLC, sure, but I don't think that's enough to justify a potential third purchase."
Agreed. I feel like Atlus would have done themselves a huge favour if they just did a performance patch for Royal on PS5 rather than do a full re-release at full price (although I wonder if there will be a unique trophy list, so you can get a third-platinum from P5 if you really wanted).

Re: PS5 Sales Live Now in More Regions, Save $50/£75
This is a bit better. Just a pity that it has come at the worst possible time for me, so probably won't be able to take advantage of this... oh well.
Re: PS5 Console Discounts Set to Expand to USA and UK, It's Claimed
That's a bit better. Though not quite at the sweet spot for me yet, but good if finally heading in that direction.

I very much despise the way everything is going.
Re: PS5 Is €100 Off in Some European Countries, Suggesting Hardware Revision Is Coming
Still waiting for that price drop in UK. £450 didn't look appealing to me, let alone the £480 it costs at present.
Does seem bizarre to have a price-drop now, but I won't complain.
Re: Sorry Physical Fans! The New Like a Dragon May Be Digital Only on PS5, PS4
Gaming looks more and more miserable every day. At this rate, I might not ever get into next gen.
Re: Persona 5 Tactica Launches 17th November, Persona 3 Reload Early 2024
Ahhh, I wanted P5 Tacos...
In all seriousness, all over P3 Reload. P5T, not so much, not a fan of that genre, so I might end up watching a playthrough.
Re: Persona 3 Remake Rumours Intensify Yet Again with Updated Web Domain
Whoops, looks like Atlus social media was eating a sandwich. Definitely real, just saw the trailer.

Persona 5 Tussle - new fighting game.

Re: SEGA Is Dropping the 'Yakuza' Name from Now On
Like a Dragon I feel is a better name for the series, especially in relation to Kiryu. It will feel weird without it being called Yakuza though.

Kiryu's haircut looks interesting to say the least.

"It's an action game, meaning that it'll utilise the series' traditional action combat, and it's coming to both PS5 and PS4 in 2023."
PERFECT! Thank everything holy. Sorry, but really do not like the turn-based gameplay of LaD.
Looking at the trailer, tears at my heart a little that it seems Daidoji and his ilk have control over Kiryu essentially.
