@ThatOtherNewGuy I love video games, I love consoles and have bought almost every Nintendo a Play Station console since the N64/PS1 era but common dude, phones are more useful than a console, people spend more time on phones than on their consoles, and they are also more useful and there is a way bigger install base of phone users than console users. Also most people change their phones every three years, not yearly, which is still way more frequent than replacing a console every seven years.

I hope they sell as low as possible after this price, these increases are absurd. $900 for the PS5 Pro, seriously what the actual fuçķ?

$700 was a lot when it launched 16 months ago, $900 is they shooting their foot with a shotgun but doing it so close tho their audience.

@Sergo this is not about blaming Sony for following suit, the fact that others are doing it doesn’t excuse them for being called out on their shi+.

I didn’t new about this game until now, for a second I thought is was Exodus, another Mass Effect like coming next year.

There is no need to extend development of game for more than 5 years and even anything longer than 3 is ridiculous. Also they waste a crap ton of money following stupid trends and firing and then re hiring people instead of maintaining a solid crew.

@Titntin you must be blind then because here people applaud every dumb decision that Sony makes like axing PC ports, even their editorial team sometimes feel like hardcore annoying fanboys, one example was when DSSL5 was announced and they were crying that they revealed on the same day of the PSSR2 update.

So I applaud the rare occasions when they call out Sony on their sh¡t like this time.

This is scummy and I got another example, I follow an online deals page and they just publish that Stellar Blade is at 70% off while I only see 43% discount.

And specifically on PS+ it is stupid that Sony published games leave the catalog, I get that they don’t want the to make them available day one but once in the catalog they should remain there always.

People calm down, wait for this site review or read/watch a review from someone you trust more than IGN. Personally I recommend Gameranx and ACG, which just uploaded their videos, but don’t expect a traditional score because they don’t grade the games in their reviews.

@KundaliniRising333 how come? all the reviews cited, besides Critical Hits', which the link redirect you to Forbes' review, are from sites more well known that Push Square.

@DennisReynolds they are not saying the game is bad, they are saying the scores are disappointing because they game has been over hyped all year long, so they and a lot of people were expecting 90-100

@Enuo not only YouTubers tough, this site was also hyping this game, and that’s not a bad thing, it looks very promising.

As @DennisReynolds mentioned, they are not providing codes for PS5 because the game was not in the servers yet, not because the developers are hiding something. They even shipped Digital Foundry a PS5 pro with the game pre installed for their analysis.

I am not a Resident Evil fan, haven’t played most of the games yet, but this one selling 6 millions is great news.

I haven’t heard anything negative about Requiem, I want to wait until next year when they release a cheaper Gold edition but every time I read something about this games I want to play it more.

I really hope this games is a success, despite the many amazing games releasing this year this one has been in my top 5 most anticipated games of 2026.

With the current state of the industry and considering how many copies Returnal sold I am very surprised we are getting this game.

@Leetware1 just look at the comments on the Reddit thread, some people already spent $60 on this free to play game in less than a month, assuming they did that before the shutdown announcement.

No wonder publishers want to invest in these live service games.

I am not an expert on this topic, but my understanding is that this new version of PSSR only improves the image quality in general and not the framerate, correct? Since the base resolution which it is being upscaled from is still the same.

The title of this article feels like insecurity projection and playing the victim. I have seen a sentiment of superiority for PlayStation in many articles lately, I get that this is a PS centric site, but you are not making yourself look passionate, instead you look like the typical annoying fanboys. I doubt that Nvidia revealing this today has anything to do with the release of PSSR 2.

Regardless of that, good lord, almost all the pictures where DSSL 5 is enabled feel so hollow, fake and soulless, what’s the point of they appearing more realistic if it will end up looking like Tik Tok filters, I am glad DF is getting toasted on the comment section of their coverage article.

@Northern_munkey I agree there is some jealousy, the tile of the article is stupid, but how can you compare mods to this? Mods replace texture with handcrafted textures, not soulless and hollow design like these.

@janineking reading is not that hard. I am complaining that the title make it seems that only the PS5 is releasing sooner, not that it is coming to other platforms. And yes, I know the game is coming to other platforms but other people may not be aware of this.

You should update the article title, it implies that the new date only applies to PS5.
I know that this is a Play Station centric site but other platforms exist too.

Maybe GTA VI will be inevitable but that’s expected due to the fame of the game. In those cases about the internet as much as possible for about a month before launch.

Your proposed solution it’s sh¡t and even worse, why punish physical owners by delaying the launch.

Nothing should be changed, that’s how things have been handled for decades. They should improve their logistics.

@TheArt Don’t think so, RDR2 on PS4 came in two discs. Rockstar are not cheapskates like these guys.

Why are they so cheap to ship the game on two discs? This is not a AA or indie game, they have the resources to include an extra disc. They are charging $70 for this, hell even I am paying $90 for the Deluxe Physical Edition.

It seems people at Peal Abyss are starving to death, I hope the pocket change they will save by not including a second disc can help them to stay fed.
