@Reeneman the 60 fps mode is not exclusive to the Pro, even the article mentions that the base PS5 will have a performance (60 fps) mode and a quality mode.

They are out of their minds, $70 is already a lot for a single game. With many good games releasing per month they want to make us bankrupt.

@The_Elder I call out Sammy all the time for defending Sony like a fanboy but I give props to him this time for continuing updating the story for almost a week now and keeping it at the top of the page.

These needs all the backlash possible, if this is intentional Sony needs to revert back their policy ASAP. The Xbox One launch was a disaster that cost them the generation just for TRYING to implement this, at least they revert their decision after announcing it, and didn’t update their ToS without a proper public announcement like a bunch of cowards.

@wildcat_kickz You are not forced to buy a different console for a different save, it will be the same island but you can create more characters, it was the same on the DS and 3DS and I know it is stupid because the Switch is hybrid and not only handheld.

I think it is fair and a smart move that PS Plus don’t add first party titles day one, but to me what it is really a bad and stupid move is that they rotate them out. Once in they should remain there forever, and they already do this whit their classics catalog.

Well, this does not affect me since I dislike gaming subscription services besides Switch Online because it is way cheaper and they don’t rotate games out.

@wildcat_kickz Only allowing one island per console sucks but it’s nowhere near as bad as the micro transactions from Ubisoft games.

@3Above I was being sarcastic, of course they deserved to be paid for Xenoverse 3 and the DLC for Sparking Zero. If we were still in the mid 2000s this expansion would have been released as Budokai Tenkaichi 5 instead of a cheaper DLC.

Damn, I hope they don’t. I have only owned the 360 from the Xboxes but there are some games I would like to play like Rare Replay and Killer Instinct. I would also like to play the new Gears and 2 & 3 Reloaded if they make them.

There was never a time when Yokai Watch was almost as big a Pokémon, in Japan it got close for a few years but in the rest of the world not even close.

And also there is I am Jesus Christ, which just released on Friday and that’s actually a good serious but low budget game that tells the story of Jesus Christ.

The last two are Steam only.

Normally I would be rooting for it to surpass the PS4 but Sony and this whole situation can go F themselves.

@MrPeanutbutterz Good thing you don’t work at Sony, one of the things I like more about the PS5 is the 2 TB of internal storage.

@themightyant games have better compression on PS5 most of the times, f you Jedi Survivor, but the average file size of games have increased this generation. A lot of AAA games are exceeding the 100 GB mark while on PS4 it was not that common.

@SBBuds yeah if you have like 8 games I can see why you have a lot of space left, but try having a large collection and you will realize that 2 TB is not a big as it seems.

@ThatOtherNewGuy I love video games, I love consoles and have bought almost every Nintendo a Play Station console since the N64/PS1 era but common dude, phones are more useful than a console, people spend more time on phones than on their consoles, and they are also more useful and there is a way bigger install base of phone users than console users. Also most people change their phones every three years, not yearly, which is still way more frequent than replacing a console every seven years.

I hope they sell as low as possible after this price, these increases are absurd. $900 for the PS5 Pro, seriously what the actual fuçķ?

$700 was a lot when it launched 16 months ago, $900 is they shooting their foot with a shotgun but doing it so close tho their audience.

There is no need to extend development of game for more than 5 years and even anything longer than 3 is ridiculous. Also they waste a crap ton of money following stupid trends and firing and then re hiring people instead of maintaining a solid crew.

@Titntin you must be blind then because here people applaud every dumb decision that Sony makes like axing PC ports, even their editorial team sometimes feel like hardcore annoying fanboys, one example was when DSSL5 was announced and they were crying that they revealed on the same day of the PSSR2 update.

So I applaud the rare occasions when they call out Sony on their sh¡t like this time.

This is scummy and I got another example, I follow an online deals page and they just publish that Stellar Blade is at 70% off while I only see 43% discount.
