Ok this one I don't mind watching. However when Square releases their launch trailer aka let's spoil the entire game trailer for Rebirth, I'll be in the corner with my eyes closed and fingers in my ears going lalalalalala.
I was excited for this game, but now I'm gonna hold off for a sale. Don't want to reward these companies by paying $15 more for the full game. Sadly if the game doesn't sell well SEGA will probably just blame RGG and not their business practices.
I was probably going to keep it light in preparation for Infinite Wealth next week, but with the news of NG+ being locked behind the deluxe edition and there being 9 trophies attached to it, I'm going to pass. Now I got 6 weeks before Rebirth. Deciding to jump back into either Sea of Stars or BG3.
Not watching anymore trailers (especially with Square's history of self spoilers). But eagerly awaiting the demo for Rebirth. Was hoping it would drop before Infinite Wealth comes out.
Probably just a mistake. I am curious how this game performs. I loved the first Helldivers. But the switch to 3rd person doesn't interest me. I felt the same about Returnal tho and that ended up fantastic.
Greatest year in gaming ever yet a game Push Square awarded an 8/10 is the GOTY. I really enjoyed it, but BG3 defined what 2023 reached in terms of games.
@BusyOlf assuming you're talking about the Korean game DokeV. They announced early on this year there would be no further news until 2024. Pearl Abyss have Black Desert online they continue to maintain and I believe Crimson Desert is slated to release next for them
Definitely disappointing. As that initial trailer for DokeV seemed to show a lot of gameplay I figured it was further along. Was excited for my nieces to play that game, but they'll probably be moody teenagers when it finally releases
Never occured to me how few open world games there were this year. Actually kind of a refreshing revelation to me. Spiderman and Hogwarts were great. Avatar doesn't look like it would appeal to me. Tchia I do still wanna try sometime.
This could be fun. Also a way to throw a bone to the people upset that spiderman 2 wasn't co-op despite Insomniac numerous times stating it was single player only.
You're supposed to make fun of your peers in award shows. Plus it was one of the few jokes that actually landed. Without it we would just be left with whatever that was that Anthony Mackie did on stage for a few minutes.
I loved the English dub in Yakuza 7 Like a Dragon, but unfortunately the casting will make me switch back to Japanese for future games. I don't get it as the English VO for Kiryu in 7 was perfectly fine. Its a shame I'm really gonna miss Kaiji Tang as Ichiban. He crushed that role.
It truly is a wonder how this Harvest Moon clone made by a lone novice (at the time) developer has changed gaming forever. Not only by selling 20+ million copies, but revolutionizing the genre to the point that there's a new farming/slice of life game coming out every week it seems. Kudos to his accomplishments, and continued work ethic. Many would have cashed out by either investing into a bigger team, or just go into early retirement.
NG+ is the only answer. Curious with the simplification of gear (most enemies just drop tech parts based on their level) they could also increase the level cap as well without too much additional effort.
I enjoyed the uniqueness of the side quest, but sadly my memory goes to taking 15 minutes to figure out I need to stand on an elevator and throw a rock at a button to proceed.
On a somewhat related note, is there any logical reason we still can't gift games on the PSN? With digital taking over physical gaming, this is something that's kind of expected in a storefront nowadays. Sending a gift card is not the same as buying someone a specific game.
I still play my Vita, but even if they make another handheld, I don't trust Sony to not put some proprietary nonsense requirement into it. They for some reason can never just release a system and let the consumer use a micro SD card, or their own wireless earbuds.
Kudos to his accomplishments within Housemarque. I selfishly hope he starts a new studio that goes back to the twin stick shooter roots of Housemarque that made them so good.
BG3 by far has the best odds. Would say AW2 could be wild card as 2nd best chance. If it's TOTK it would be ridiculous. The other 3 games don't have a chance.
Probably should have held this game and released it around now. Not only do you avoid the loaded summer which clearly affected sales, but they could actually release a more finished product.
I thought I remember them saying they were gonna to make their next game with a much smaller scope. Which I feel is smart. Let's your team work on something and get it out the door in a quicker time, but also doesn't force the pressure on you that so many developer have had over the years to follow up a masterpiece.

Re: Rec Room Dev 'Can't Justify' a PSVR2 Port
Even Sony can't justify ports of Astrobot, Blood and Truth, Wipeout Omega Collection etc to PSVR2.
Re: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (PS5) - The Best Yakuza Game Ever Made
So much for my principles. I was planning on waiting for a sale due to the ng+ fiasco. But nope, the game is as amazing as it looked in previews
Re: Rumour: Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Remake Is Now In Active Development
I'd be down. Best in the series in my opinion. Mainly because it was less of an AC game and more of a pirate adventure.
Re: Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth Removes New Game +, Puts It Behind a DLC Paywall

Not watching anymore trailers (especially with Square's history of self spoilers). But eagerly awaiting the demo for Rebirth. Was hoping it would drop before Infinite Wealth comes out.
Re: Suicide Squad Teases Major Post-Launch Support, 'Hundreds' of Build Combinations
Such a waste of time to keep supporting a game DoA. A 60fps patch for Arkham Knight would be a better use of their resources.
Re: Talking Point: What Do You Want from Sony and PlayStation in 2024?
All of the above option for me please! And Hi-Fi Rush!!!!!
Re: Helldivers 2 May Have Been Delayed on PS5 by a Few Weeks
Probably just a mistake. I am curious how this game performs. I loved the first Helldivers. But the switch to 3rd person doesn't interest me. I felt the same about Returnal tho and that ended up fantastic.
Re: 30 PS5, PS4 Indie Games to Watch Out for in 2024
Animal Well, Cat Quest, and Plucky Squire for me. Very doubtful that Silksong comes out this year.
Re: PS5's Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden Doesn't Want You to Forget About Its February Release
Some of these games really need to get delayed out of February. So weird how the last few Februaries have been so stacked
Re: Game of the Year: #1 - Marvel's Spider-Man 2
Greatest year in gaming ever yet a game Push Square awarded an 8/10 is the GOTY. I really enjoyed it, but BG3 defined what 2023 reached in terms of games.
Re: Game of the Year: Top 10 PS5, PS4 Soundtracks of 2023
FF16 has a lot of issues, but its score was the best in gaming this year.
Re: Game of the Year: Best PS5, PS4 DLC of 2023
My mind is blown that Horizon's DLC was this year. Felt like that came out ages ago.

Re: Insomniac Breaks Silence on 'Distressing' Data Breach, Marvel's Wolverine PS5 to Continue as Planned
If the quality of the latest Sony PC ports is anything to go by, this stolen build is probably indicative of the end result anyway.
Re: Rumour: Call of Duty 2025 Will Return to a Near-Future Setting in Sequel to Black Ops 2
I'll make sure to set aside 30 minutes on my 2025 calendar to play this campaign
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 507
Asgard's Wrath 2! Put in about 2 hours into it yesterday and excited to sink my teeth into it over the weekend.

Re: 'Florida Joker' Dyes Hair Purple, Raises GTA 6 Ask to $3 Million
He looks like he'd invest that money wisely.
Re: Disney Says There's 'Still a Lot of Demand' for Knights of the Old Republic Remake
I'll take just a PS5 port of the original game at this point. Don't even need the remake.
Re: Hands On: Rocket Racing Is a Super Fun Drive Yet to Meet Its Full Potential
Between this and the Harmonix game I almost want to play Fortnite.....almost.

Re: Thrasher Is a Mesmerising 'Cosmic Racer' from the Artist Behind Thumper
Thumper is one of my favorite VR games. As it doesn't seem like we will get a sequel, this appears to be the next best thing.
Re: 'Florida Joker' Would Like a Word Regarding That GTA VI Reveal Trailer
Clearly the hype of the "Florida Joker" being shown is what got the trailer to 90M views in a day.
Re: Like a Dragon Gaiden Gets Its Promised English Dub Update This Month

That's a bummer for the six people this will effect.

NG+ is the only answer. Curious with the simplification of gear (most enemies just drop tech parts based on their level) they could also increase the level cap as well without too much additional effort.
Re: PS Plus Essential Games for December 2023 Announced
Wow fantastic list. Honestly I can't remember a time where I didn't own any of the games, and legitimately would play all of them as well.
Re: The Batman Movie Suit Coming to PS4's Arkham Knight Next Month
Everytime I see Arkham Knight news I hope it gets a 60fps boost. Alas today is not the day.

Re: Zenless Zone Zero Fans Are Aggrieved by Alleged Censorship in Upcoming Gacha Game
Maybe they will add overly exaggerated jiggle physics as a gacha prize down the line to capitalize on this.
Re: 'Development Is Progressing' on Ubisoft's Troubled Prince of Persia Remake
A statement straight out of the vaporware handbook.
Re: Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition Won't Have Its Own Separate Trophy List on PS5
Literally cost them tens of thousands of sales with that decision.

Re: The Last of Us 2 PS5 Remaster Leaks, Has a Brand New Survival Mode, Cut Levels
Quite an accomplishment for this series with just 2 games to be sold 5 different times.
Re: Poll: Are You Playing Persona 5 Tactica?
I enjoy the world and characters so I'll be playing it. The spinoffs I'm a bit less warm on. I liked strikers cause it felt like an actual sequel.
Re: Poll: What Will Win Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2023?
BG3 by far has the best odds. Would say AW2 could be wild card as 2nd best chance. If it's TOTK it would be ridiculous. The other 3 games don't have a chance.
Re: Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth Reveals New Dynamic Difficulty Setting Where Enemy Levels Scale
Glad this is just a setting. Hate this trend of RPGs having level scaling. Completely removes one of the integral components of an RPG.
Re: Rumour: Dragon's Dogma 2 March 2024 Release Date Leaked
@mariomaster96 true. I was mainly counting Like a Dragon and of course Rebirth.
Re: Rumour: Dragon's Dogma 2 March 2024 Release Date Leaked
I never expected it to be this soon. So we got 3 giant RPGs from Japan to start the year.
Re: Fortnite Fans Aren't Happy About Age-Gated Cosmetic Restrictions
@WolfyTn which is 95% of their player base.
Re: Fortnite Fans Aren't Happy About Age-Gated Cosmetic Restrictions
But isn't the game still about shooting people with guns? Or are we replacing those with walkie talkies?
