Oh come on...there's too many games in my backlog, more in stores at the moment that I'd love to play, and I'm seeing a bunch coming soon!!!! There's too many!!! This game looks really fun, what system did the first one come out on??? Was it on PS3?
I've counted a bunch of exclusives for the system...MLB 14-16, Akiba's Trip, Ratchet And Clank, Uncharted's, Last Of Us, Last Guardian, The Order, Bloodborne, Until Dawn's, VR Titles, Little Big Planet 3, Gravity Rush, Tearaway Unfolded and many more...don't get why people say they have no exclusives, because they basically have as many as Wii U does, and Wii U is 4 years old...and with the amount of exclusives coming out this year, it has no excuse for people to say that anymore. Other than that, can anyone tell me if the sales of the PS4 has surpassed the Wii or PS2 now...it's got to be close if it hasn't!
Back to the other question, I own 58 retail games and 82 downloads...yup, I love the system, and I feel, as an older gamer that's been around since the Atari era, that it feels like a console like the Genesis and NES...lots of games and a great variety of them! There's a number of genres and variety to make it a great system!!!! I've been a nintendo fan for a long time, but ever since the PS3, I've fallen in love with Sony more!!!
@iSillyBoiJudas Too many and too little time. Kids and wife and dogs take most of my time (as well as work)...wish I had a few days to just be lazy for once, but I never get that time it seems, and when I do feel like sitting down and relaxing...for some reason, I never know what to play and end up doing something else...it's always the same old...plus, I've been getting back into playing my old systems (Atari, NES, Gamecube and PS2) again for some reason!!!!
@LobsterJohnson Sorry...I kind of forgot the flash sales are different in each region...right now, it's $5 in the US. However, when I went to Gamestop over here, it's only $10 used, which is still a good deal for it...not a bad game, and I believe it's available on PC, Mac, PS4, XBONE and Wii U, so it got a lot of attention. Pretty good game though!
@Rogue76 Wind Waker is not that bad...my favorite Zelda title...besides the original and Ocarina...is still Link's Awakening. However, I never played the Wii U's version of Wind Waker, I own it on Gamecube, but still loved it, even though I didn't care for the long sails throughout the ocean...that and the cartoony effects was the only downfall to it, but a great game with good animation and colors.
@LobsterJohnson Try The Book Of Unwritten Tales 2 or even Brothers A Tale Of Two Sons...those two downloads are pretty good, and Book Of Tales 2 is on sale right now for the flash sale...$5 is a pretty good price. Book Of Unwritten Tales 2 is a point and click adventure, and Brothers is a pretty decent adventure title that can take hours to indulge yourself into...if you're looking at the retail side, I've been indulging myself into No Man's Sky and The Last Guardian.
Still playing my backlog of games currently...bought a bunch on black friday. Just beat Ghostbusters (which I actually enjoyed and my wife and I enjoyed playing together...still don't know why it got such horrible reviews, because it's still a lot better than some games that got great reviews)...now, moving onto to Lego Jurassic World...then they have a flash sale and I buy and download more!!!! Plus, income tax return period is coming which means, the VR will be in my grips with some more games to add!!!! When will it end!!!! At least, after Horizon Zero Dawn, there's not much else I want until New Hot Shots Golf!
Eh...didn't really care for the DJ HERO games, and since Guitar Hero Live didn't match up too well with a return, I don't get why people are trying to bring the games back. Rock Revolution, Rock Band, DJ Hero, Tony Hawk Motion Skateboard and all of these other things...too expensive and too much space being taken up by the gimmicks. Let me know when Fable gets picked up (would love to see them on the PS4) and when we finally get a new Buzz game that uses BUZZERS and no CELL PHONES (Which the cellphone reason is why I don't care for the new Jack Box Party Packs and Sing Star).
I still want to know if the VR Headset is worth it or not. I've heard some people say it is and other say they didn't like it...for $400, I'm still optimistic about it, especially if Sony drops it like the Move, but I keep on seeing some of those games and want to get it!
I'll be buying it...as I've gotten rid of my Wii U a year ago. Looking forward to replaying this game and getting some trophies! I always welcome the Lego games!
@get2sammyb I agree. The Last Guardian is an amazing game, but it didn't sell too well. No Man's Sky (granted reviews and disappointments from some people) was also a great game...I've been enjoying it, but it failed too. Horizon looks incredible, but Zelda has a large and huge fanbase and there are Sony fans that are also Nintendo fans (I'm one of them). I guess, I'd get Zelda first if I saw both in stores (sorry to say I have Zelda and Horizon preordered and paid off, so no biggie to me), but it all depends on people...the Wii U owners will pick up Zelda (and the install base on the Wii U is very low) and I'm sure some people will buy the switch on day one and purchase Zelda (again not a lot, unless their presentation today showcases more launch games)...but Sony's install base is huge, and we've been looking forward to Horizon since they first announced it, so I do think Sony should hold off on releasing it at least a week after the Switch's launch...just to give it the proper momentum it deserves...the game company does need to pay their employees and the company itself wants to earn it's money, so it's kind of business sense!
@daveofduncan Uh...I have money put away for the Switch and Zelda and Mario for it, but I also have Horizon paid for in full as a preorder. I love nintendo, but it seems recently (since the Wii era) nothing has taken me away from Sony.
I don't really think Sony has a lot to worry about, but it may be better to move it a week or two, just so it doesn't hurt sales too much. People will still buy the Switch and a few games for it, and they'll forget what games are coming out on Sony and Microsoft that day...just saying, that Sony and Microsoft fans will still buy Nintendo's next. It may be good to hold back on releasing the game by a week or two, just so it doesn't flop too much (which I'm sure it won't flop, but it's better to release it later and get the full amount of users to buy it). Other than that, the game looks amazing!
@PlaytendoGuy Wipeout has always had the same thing like F-Zero titles, so yeah, since we're not getting a new F-zero for awhile it looks, then this is definitely one that will give you the feel! Still, Wipeout has been a great game series! I'm also excited for the remastered 4K version of Parappa the Rapper and the upcoming Patapon and my favorite for the PSP...Loco Roco!!!! I really hope more remasters do come for the system...would love for a Wild Arms Collection, Grandia Collection, Spyro The Dragon collection, Legia, Jade Cocoon, Gran Truismo Collection, Hot Shots Golf Collection and more! Sony had many great classics that seem to be lost...just like nintendo has many classics that seem to be lost too! Maybe since retro is in, companies will start doing this more often...especially if it shows them that they can still make money off of the IP's franchises!
The one I'm excited for is New Hot Shots Golf, but it's kind of gone into the shadows again. However, Sonic Mania, Shenmue 3, Ni No Kuni 2, Wipeout and Yookalalie all are other ones I'm excited for...plus, the Toe Jam and Earl reboot onto the download side. Too many games, very little space on the system left.
Wow...how long now has Kingdom Hearts 3 been in production...I believe I heard something about it on PS3!!! Oh well, at least it'll come out for the Playstation 5 (oh wait, they'll take it back to fit that system's preferences then, creating another long wait!). Does anyone else think that they're not working on them, they're just creating little trailers and game plays just to tease people...it's like they're waiving french fries to animals in a zoo but not giving them up!!!
Does sony really have anything to worry about? It's the games that people flock too and apparently, most are flocking to the PS4, not XBONE. As for nintendo, the ones that end up buying the Switch are the ones who want a secondary console (nintendo doesn't have the best relations with 3rd parties)...so I don't think sony has anything to worry about with nintendo (and I'll be one picking up the Switch, but that doesn't mean I'll stop playing the PS4). All sony needs is to keep the games coming (exclusive sony-made games), and stop the drought in them. Hot Shots Golf, Horizon and their many other licenses should be coming out this year, not waiting until 2018...they've had plenty of time by now, the system will be out for a while, let's get the games out that people were expecting! Other than that, there's too much love for the PS4, and I don't see it slowing down too much...maybe a tad when Scorpio comes out and the Switch comes out, but the system is too powerful right now!
If I see it, I'll pick it up...that's my theory on game purchases for me. I'll pay full price for New Hot Shots Golf when it comes out, and on PS3 in the past, I paid full for Buzz and Sing Star, but other than that, most titles I wait for price drops. I've been waiting for the Witcher 3 to fall down, but still hasn't...unless I purchase it, then it will...that's just my luck. Other than that, if the game looks fun, I'll pick it up no matter the price, but some of the other games that got reduced for the holiday season, are basically because their games with high priced DLC...the companies can make their money back, plus it also shows that they can make a huge profit no matter what the price of the game is. I picked up quite a bit of PS4 games during black friday for cheap prices, but some of the better ones were still expensive (Uncharted 4)...digital going down in price is fine, because they rarely do throughout the years.
I have to say, there were too many good games on the system itself (more than what I have space for or time to play). I kind of knew Uncharted 4 will win (which it stated that it had the highest percentage), but I also liked The Last Guardian and who could not have loved Ratchet And Clank. The one that I wanted to pick is No Man's Sky...I know it had its faults and left people unhappy, but it is a remarkable game that is relaxing and fun...plus, the graphics in it are pretty good, so I kind of don't get why it didn't make the list.
@frankmcma I agree with you...this is why I strayed away from Destiny, The Crew and the Plants Vs Zombies games. When the servers go offline, you're stuck with just a game that you can do nothing with, which then seems like a waste of money. I bought the whole package of 'Free Realms' on the PS3 when it arrived...loved the game and got a lot of play out of it, then the servers went down and I couldn't even play it anymore, which burned me as I was close to the final trophy for it. It's sad when you have to look at the back of the games now to see if an 'internet' connection is required or not. The other thing that makes me mad about certain games, is that you can only play them with another player if you go online only. Wasn't gaming to be fun with family and friends...sitting around the couch and playing a game together...now they're trying to even take that away, which I guess, is why I play the classic consoles or nintendo consoles with my kids and wife, shame as there's plenty of games I'd love to play together with my wife and kids.
Don't like the fact that you have to be connected to play (since it flopped, the servers may come down very quickly, which then leaves you with nothing to play), but it looked interesting to me, since I've been waiting for some extreme sports titles to come to PS4. Guess I'll wait and hope for a new SSX to arrive...still awaiting a surfing, fishing and some more Cabela games to arrive on the PS4!!!!
Even though I'm waiting for Ico and Shadow of Colossus to get re-released on the PS4 (I know it's been released on PS3, but my copy was stolen and I'm finding it hard to find it in stores), I honestly keep on watching the trailer for this and wanting this game more and more! Just a big backlog of games at the moment is stopping me (as well as running out of space on the console itself...have to wait until tax returns to get a 2TB HD), I definitely want this game. The graphics look amazing and the story looks very interesting! Just looks like a great investment!!!!
Even though my PS4's back log is huge at the moment, this maybe a title I might pick up...even though I missed it being on sale to pick up a few others that were instead...there's just too much coming out on PS4, but since the only other games coming out this year are Horizon and Hot Shots Golf, I may pick it up! Since it's winter and cold, I'll be playing more now!
@get2sammyb It's actually better than some of Sony's other commercials that they've done...at least somewhat humorous. Kevin Butler needs to make a comeback, because Sony just has awful commercials anymore...sort of like Sega did a few years into the Genesis and past that. At least they're better than the horrible and plain XBONE commercials, where XBONE just shows games that aren't even exclusives!
After seeing the trailer (and the music tracks that have nothing to do with a time-line film like itself), it looked horrible...very cheaply done (which I don't think it was) and just plain bad acting all around. Not many games to movies have I enjoyed (Liked the first Silent Hill, hated the second...Mortal Kombat was good when it came out, looks horrible now, Super Mario Bros had an entertainment value to it, but still...weird, Prince Of Persia was boring and dull to me and the others...mess). I never really had high hopes for this to begin with. To me, if you want to make a big budget game to movie, you need not only a great director and great actors, but also the proper writers (bringing some of the game writers in with it) and the great visual arts directors (for the sets and props). Steven Spielberg, James Cameron and Ron Howard's teams would do good at this. Spielberg could really bring something like Uncharted or even Legend Of Zelda alive (even though Uncharted would be close to an Indiana Jones film). James Cameron would be good at the action titles, and Ron Howard would be good at bringing the more down-to-earth family adventure ones (the Grinch was great in visuals). Before a game is even mentioned about being made, why doesn't hollywood look at that, instead of just wanting the money because hollywood is completely out of ideas and just want to do sequels, reboots, remakes and (the newest thing) bring a movie that's 30+ years old and make a sequel like people care (hint...Goonies 2, Beetlejuice 2 and a Ferris Bueller Reboot that has been announced or mentioned).
The Assassin's Creeds games are pretty good, with some good historical facts piled into them, but it never looked like it could work as a film...some games are left to be just games, just like some movies are left to be just movies...not games.
The PS4's version was incredible! A true classic title that really helped the horror-game-genre step up! However, this version also looks pretty fun and interesting too, and if they changed it around a little, they could make it a cheap little title for the PS4 (changing the name a little too) and possibly have another hit. I really hope there's a sequel to the PS4 version, but I also hope there isn't (Movie horror sequels are usually bad, so the same could possibly go with horror games). Glad they had a massive hit!
I've watched the trailer a couple of times for this, and I simply WANT to have it, however, the review is tempting me to stay away from it, but I do like the point and click adventure games...Broken Age, The Book Of Unwritten Tales 2 and King's Quest...so I'll probably pick it up anyways, just maybe wait for a price drop to do so! Since we're not getting Cup Head on PS4 (unless it's not an XBONE only exclusive...whenever it gets released), this looks brilliant in bringing back the classic hand-drawn animation of my youth!
Finally, it's been since PS2's Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer since a decent surfing game has grazed another console (excluding Surf's Up). It's about time! Now I'll be happy, but I'll be happier if I can get a new great Volleyball title on the PS4 too...(anyone remember Outlaw Volleyball, or the PS2's Summer Heat Beach Volleyball, or the good seta-to-gamecube game Beach Spikers)
This looks fun. I wanted to get it on the Wii U, but I also couldn't wait to get rid of my Wii U at the same time (hence, I traded in the Wii U). Still though, it's nice to see even more pinball games getting released!!! Can we get a nice Volleyball game next...I'd love to see the Outlaw series come back, or at least a collection of the 4 that released on previous consoles...come on, Outlaw Golf 1-2, Outlaw Volleyball and Outlaw Tennis...don't tell me I'm the only one that enjoyed them!
@get2sammyb Do you guys know how the sales are of the Last Guardian yet? I was hoping to pick it up here soon. Was really hoping that ICO would be added to the retail scene again for PS4.
Is this a retail game coming out, or is it download only with high-end prices of DLC? May dip into this, it does look really fun! I don't want to pay for Lego Dimensions, but darn them for adding Ghostbusters, Back To The Future, Scooby Doo and now the Wizard Of Oz to it...keeps tempting me more!
I can't wait for this. By the way, there was another old classic that was remastered on the PS4 that was a platform adventure...anyone actually play The Legend Of Kay??? It's a pretty decent game, but I don't think it sold well. I'd honestly love to re-play some of the older platform titles with updated graphics...Can we get the Original Spyro The Dragons, Tomba, Croc, Goemon, Chameleon Twist, Gex, James Pond, Earthworm Jim (at least part 2, since part 1 was re-mastered in HD), Aero The Acrobat, Glover (could work better with VR), Vexx, Whiplash and just out of the clear blue, how about the first 3 Fatal Frames????
@roe Get it on both...I have a few that I bought on both (Ducktales Remastered being one). It's fun to do the trophies on the PS4 version and play it for fun on nintendo's consoles...plus, if it comes out on Switch, you'll be able to play it on the 'go'.
@get2sammyb It does, as we'll never get the Banjo Kazooi games on PS4. Do you happen to know if the CUPHEAD game is also coming to PS4, or is that unfortunately just an XBONE exclusive...because that game also looks interesting.
I ended up going out black friday to get the last minute things for my kids...we also purged on ourselves, but almost every store I went into was almost completely sold out of anything PS4, where XBONE still stood. I got a few PS4 games, but couldn't believe the price and the bundles they were having. In the US at my local Best Buy, they had the Uncharted 4 PS4 Slim for $250...came with 2x other games and a second controller...a very good deal that they sold out of quickly! Even the Game Stops around me were almost sold out of anything PS4. I don't see the system slowing down anytime soon, and it's still my favorite system (even though I have to purge on buying a 2TB Internal Hard Drive) for it.
This was a fun title on the Wii U, but since I ended up getting rid of the system, I'll look forward to buying it on PS4 for the trophies, but I'm sure I'll also purchase it on Switch for the nintendo themes (I doubt the nintendo themes will be available on PC, XBONE or PS4)
@kyleforrester87 It's even worse that more stores are open now on Thanksgiving...employees don't even get to enjoy the holidays anymore...can't wait to see how bad it's going to be when stores want to stay open on Christmas Day for people that receive gift cards. I'm glad I got out of retail when I did and will never go back to it.
@Splat They usually have better deals on Plus after the holidays...usually by income tax return time is when Plus and Network cards go on sale at Best Buy and more...usually %20 off or more...Target (last year in January) had the playstation network cards as buy one get one free for a day only...I stocked up!!!
@get2sammyb Love the final picture on here of people acting nuts and crazy. When I worked at Wal-mart many years ago, shoes were flying off people in the air, and were never picked up...somebody actually got trampled to death too, and there were grandma's throwing large televisions into their carts like it was a Nascar pit crew. When the Wii came out, and it was harder to get, there was someone who was stabbed and killed because they bought it and someone else wanted to buy it. People go nuts on black friday...however, with kids, I end up finding myself having to go out this year, which I don't want to.
Are you guys knowing any deals going on at Gamestop or Target yet, or are they still unknown?
Pretty good commercial, but I still wish that they would bring back Kevin Butler for some new funny ones!!! Hopefully, 2017 marks a great year for Sony, as the system has so much to offer! Here's hoping for a new Jak and Daxter, Parappa The Rapper, Hot Shots Golf (whenever the launch date happens), Hot Shots Tennis, Buzz, Playstation All Stars Battle, a new Infamous, White Knight Chronicles, Folklore (give it another chance Sony), maybe a new Fatal Frame (even though it's not sony and part 5 was for Wii U, could we please get it)...also...how about Capcom giving us a brand new Castlevania!!!! Anyways, they have lots of great games, and I hope they also continue the Little Big Planet and Ratchet And Clank series too. Another one I'm hoping for is Sly Cooper!!!!
Well, XBONE's selling, give Sony a little money since Microsoft has blu ray in it (since Sony owns Blu Ray), but other than that, I still don't know anyone that owns an XBONE near me. XBONE is selling due to the backwards compatibility, finally giving the 360 owners a reason to upgrade...Playstation hasn't added that, which is disappointing, and the fact that if you wanted to upgrade the PS4's hard drive to get more space, the biggest you can really do is 2TB...which still isn't enough to have an extensive library. Black friday and holiday sales will make it grow, especially if that have a really good bundle available at that time...they only really have to worry about Microsoft competing, nintendo will only have the 3DS to compete, and that's a handheld, so I don't really count them...don't see many Wii U's flying off the shelves since they have shown off the Switch and the NES Mini will be out...nintendo will shine in March, and that's when Sony should release another big game for the PS4...as well as Microsoft. I'd still love to buy an XBONE, but I still don't really see many exclusives that make it worth it to me yet and I'm saving up for the Switch and PS VR at the moment.
Wait, this can be played without the VR Headset? When my kids were looking at it, I was going to purchase it for them, but saw the VR at the bottom that said it was just for VR. Can anyone tell me if this is true or false, and how I can tell which games are just for VR and which ones can be used with the controller instead?
@get2sammyb Cursed nintendo is making me hold off on buying the VR...want the Switch first, but even then, I'll wait until the VR goes down in price and just continue watching the game footage on the few that I think look amazing. What are your thoughts on Until Rush Dawn Of Blood???
@Thegentleman Sega ended before Microsoft, so they would probably be bought by Nintendo/Sony. I don't think we'd even hear of an X-box if the two were together, and if sega joined them...forget anyone else. We'd probably be dealing with just one console and a few other companies trying with no success. Atari definitely would have tried still, but would have failed...Sega would still have gone down under with the Dreamcast and who knows who else would have tried.
I've always thought about this, and could only imagine how big the companies would be. True, that nintendo would have more say over the console, but imagine both companies IP's on one machine? To people that think nintendo is all childish, they have made M rated games, there's just no audience there for them...now, if both were together, there would be a huge collection and a larger install base. Sega probably wouldn't even stand a chance to try and compete and Microsoft wouldn't even be around. If these two were together, I think no other company would really stand a chance...and just imagine what the portable world would be like...a 3DS VITA combined. Too bad nintendo didn't do a CD version for N64, or this would have been a thing.
Vita and PSP were good for the experiences, and if Sony would've kept fiddling with their ideas, they could have already had something like SWITCH out. Nintendo's is going to do good due to their IP's, and since Pokemon is a part of them, we'll see it strive (look at Pokemon Go). I still see sony trying the concept...maybe in a few more years for Playstation 5, but I see them doing it...especially if nintendo's new console takes off. Microsoft will soon follow with Sony, and that'll be the next consoles and the war. Other than all that, it depends on prices and consumers. I'll buy nintendo's, and if Sony makes one, I'll buy theirs...because of both companies IP's. VITA just wasn't being supported like it should have. Sony wasn't really into making the games go on for it and...just like we saw with the Wii U...you need retail games to make it shine, not just download-only titles. If you're a consumer walking into a store, you look at the system and the library of retail games...the more games and various game types, the better the chance that the consumer will buy that system. Vita was hard to find anything for, and has been like that for several years...Wii U is the same way, as you see more Wii games than the Wii U titles.
Sony and Nintendo seem to always be close together as friends, and if nintendo's takes off, I see Sony wanting to get in those shoes too! Give it another year and I think there could be somewhat of a Sony Portable on the way.
I really hope (even though I don't see it for almost a year) that the Playstation VR Headset goes down in price...I don't really want to pay that kind of money on it, but I'm seeing many great things I want to play on it! I'm going with what someone said on here...hoping that there will be a good sale on it for black friday! This thing is going to sell greatly for the holiday season! I see Playstation being in the top spot again for the holidays (please don't let Microsoft take it).

Oh come on...there's too many games in my backlog, more in stores at the moment that I'd love to play, and I'm seeing a bunch coming soon!!!! There's too many!!! This game looks really fun, what system did the first one come out on??? Was it on PS3?
Re: PS4 Software Sales Exceed 400 Million, Console Sales Reach 53.4 million
I've counted a bunch of exclusives for the system...MLB 14-16, Akiba's Trip, Ratchet And Clank, Uncharted's, Last Of Us, Last Guardian, The Order, Bloodborne, Until Dawn's, VR Titles, Little Big Planet 3, Gravity Rush, Tearaway Unfolded and many more...don't get why people say they have no exclusives, because they basically have as many as Wii U does, and Wii U is 4 years old...and with the amount of exclusives coming out this year, it has no excuse for people to say that anymore. Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 152

Re: Uncharted: The Lost Legacy Will Be a Tonal Departure from Previous Games
Is this just going to be a DLC add on for Uncharted 4, or will it have it's own retail disc version????
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 152
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 152
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 152
Re: Ubisoft Acquires DJ Hero Developer from Activision
Re: Feature: Our Most Anticipated PS4 Games of 2017
I still want to know if the VR Headset is worth it or not. I've heard some people say it is and other say they didn't like it...for $400, I'm still optimistic about it, especially if Sony drops it like the Move, but I keep on seeing some of those games and want to get it!
Re: Here's How Ex-Wii U Exclusive LEGO City Undercover Looks on PS4
I'll be buying it...as I've gotten rid of my Wii U a year ago. Looking forward to replaying this game and getting some trophies! I always welcome the Lego games!
Re: Talking Point: Should Sony Move Horizon: Zero Dawn's PS4 Launch Away from the Nintendo Switch?
Re: Talking Point: Should Sony Move Horizon: Zero Dawn's PS4 Launch Away from the Nintendo Switch?
Re: WipEout Omega Collection Looks 4King Unreal on PS4 Pro
Re: Feature: Our Most Anticipated PS4 Games of 2017
The one I'm excited for is New Hot Shots Golf, but it's kind of gone into the shadows again. However, Sonic Mania, Shenmue 3, Ni No Kuni 2, Wipeout and Yookalalie all are other ones I'm excited for...plus, the Toe Jam and Earl reboot onto the download side. Too many games, very little space on the system left.
Re: We Wouldn't Bet on Final Fantasy VII Remake Releasing in 2017
Wow...how long now has Kingdom Hearts 3 been in production...I believe I heard something about it on PS3!!!
Re: Feature: How PS4 Can Fend Off the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Scorpio in 2017
Does sony really have anything to worry about?
Re: Talking Point: Has Holiday 2016 Devalued New Games?
Re: Poll: What Was Your Favourite PlayStation Game of 2016?
I have to say, there were too many good games on the system itself (more than what I have space for or time to play). I kind of knew Uncharted 4 will win (which it stated that it had the highest percentage), but I also liked The Last Guardian and who could not have loved Ratchet And Clank. The one that I wanted to pick is No Man's Sky...I know it had its faults and left people unhappy, but it is a remarkable game that is relaxing and fun...plus, the graphics in it are pretty good, so I kind of don't get why it didn't make the list.
Re: Review: Steep (PS4)
Re: Review: Steep (PS4)
Don't like the fact that you have to be connected to play (since it flopped, the servers may come down very quickly, which then leaves you with nothing to play), but it looked interesting to me, since I've been waiting for some extreme sports titles to come to PS4. Guess I'll wait and hope for a new SSX to arrive...still awaiting a surfing, fishing and some more Cabela games to arrive on the PS4!!!!
Re: Game of the Year 2016: #6 - The Last Guardian
Even though I'm waiting for Ico and Shadow of Colossus to get re-released on the PS4 (I know it's been released on PS3, but my copy was stolen and I'm finding it hard to find it in stores), I honestly keep on watching the trailer for this and wanting this game more and more! Just a big backlog of games at the moment is stopping me (as well as running out of space on the console itself...have to wait until tax returns to get a 2TB HD), I definitely want this game. The graphics look amazing and the story looks very interesting! Just looks like a great investment!!!!
Re: Soapbox: Why Hitman Is the Funniest Game of 2016
Even though my PS4's back log is huge at the moment, this maybe a title I might pick up...even though I missed it being on sale to pick up a few others that were instead...there's just too much coming out on PS4, but since the only other games coming out this year are Horizon and Hot Shots Golf, I may pick it up! Since it's winter and cold, I'll be playing more now!
Re: PlayStation's Christmas Video Sees Santa Scrap His Deliveries to Try PSVR
@get2sammyb It's actually better than some of Sony's other commercials that they've done...at least somewhat humorous. Kevin Butler needs to make a comeback, because Sony just has awful commercials anymore...sort of like Sega did a few years into the Genesis and past that. At least they're better than the horrible and plain XBONE commercials, where XBONE just shows games that aren't even exclusives!
Re: The Assassin's Creed Movie Doesn't Sound Too Sharp
Re: This Is What Until Dawn Looked Like on the PS3
The PS4's version was incredible! A true classic title that really helped the horror-game-genre step up! However, this version also looks pretty fun and interesting too, and if they changed it around a little, they could make it a cheap little title for the PS4 (changing the name a little too) and possibly have another hit. I really hope there's a sequel to the PS4 version, but I also hope there isn't (Movie horror sequels are usually bad, so the same could possibly go with horror games). Glad they had a massive hit!
Re: Review: The Little Acre (PS4)
I've watched the trailer a couple of times for this, and I simply WANT to have it, however, the review is tempting me to stay away from it, but I do like the point and click adventure games...Broken Age, The Book Of Unwritten Tales 2 and King's Quest...so I'll probably pick it up anyways, just maybe wait for a price drop to do so! Since we're not getting Cup Head on PS4 (unless it's not an XBONE only exclusive...whenever it gets released), this looks brilliant in bringing back the classic hand-drawn animation of my youth!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? - Issue 148
A little big of Dragon Quest Heroes and some more Gems Of War to get that last trophy hopefully (only 5 more levels to go)
Re: Unlock Your Inner Home & Away with Surf World Series on PS4
Finally, it's been since PS2's Kelly Slater's Pro Surfer since a decent surfing game has grazed another console (excluding Surf's Up). It's about time! Now I'll be happy, but I'll be happier if I can get a new great Volleyball title on the PS4 too...(anyone remember Outlaw Volleyball, or the PS2's Summer Heat Beach Volleyball, or the good seta-to-gamecube game Beach Spikers)
Re: Don't Let PETA See This PS4 Pinball Game
This looks fun. I wanted to get it on the Wii U, but I also couldn't wait to get rid of my Wii U at the same time (hence, I traded in the Wii U). Still though, it's nice to see even more pinball games getting released!!! Can we get a nice Volleyball game next...I'd love to see the Outlaw series come back, or at least a collection of the 4 that released on previous consoles...come on, Outlaw Golf 1-2, Outlaw Volleyball and Outlaw Tennis...don't tell me I'm the only one that enjoyed them!
Re: November 2016 NPD: PS4 on Top as Call of Duty Targets Number One
@get2sammyb Do you guys know how the sales are of the Last Guardian yet? I was hoping to pick it up here soon. Was really hoping that ICO would be added to the retail scene again for PS4.
Re: Hands On: Getting Creative with LEGO Worlds on PS4
Is this a retail game coming out, or is it download only with high-end prices of DLC? May dip into this, it does look really fun! I don't want to pay for Lego Dimensions, but darn them for adding Ghostbusters, Back To The Future, Scooby Doo and now the Wizard Of Oz to it...keeps tempting me more!
Re: Hands On: Losing Our Minds with Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy on PS4
Re: Hands On: Running the Collectathon in Yooka-Laylee on PS4
@roe Get it on both...I have a few that I bought on both (Ducktales Remastered being one). It's fun to do the trophies on the PS4 version and play it for fun on nintendo's consoles...plus, if it comes out on Switch, you'll be able to play it on the 'go'.
Re: Hands On: Running the Collectathon in Yooka-Laylee on PS4
@get2sammyb It does, as we'll never get the Banjo Kazooi games on PS4. Do you happen to know if the CUPHEAD game is also coming to PS4, or is that unfortunately just an XBONE exclusive...because that game also looks interesting.
Re: The PS4 Absolutely Killed It in the UK Last Week
Re: Wii U Exclusive LEGO City Undercover Earns Its Badge on PS4
This was a fun title on the Wii U, but since I ended up getting rid of the system, I'll look forward to buying it on PS4 for the trophies, but I'm sure I'll also purchase it on Switch for the nintendo themes (I doubt the nintendo themes will be available on PC, XBONE or PS4)
Re: Guide: The Best PS4 Black Friday Deals 2016 in the US
@kyleforrester87 It's even worse that more stores are open now on Thanksgiving...employees don't even get to enjoy the holidays anymore...can't wait to see how bad it's going to be when stores want to stay open on Christmas Day for people that receive gift cards. I'm glad I got out of retail when I did and will never go back to it.
Re: Guide: The Best PS4 Black Friday Deals 2016 in the US
@Splat They usually have better deals on Plus after the holidays...usually by income tax return time is when Plus and Network cards go on sale at Best Buy and more...usually %20 off or more...Target (last year in January) had the playstation network cards as buy one get one free for a day only...I stocked up!!!
Re: Guide: The Best PS4 Black Friday Deals 2016 in the US
@get2sammyb Love the final picture on here of people acting nuts and crazy.
Re: PlayStation's New Commercial Is Completely Over the Top
Re: PlayStation's New Commercial Is Completely Over the Top
@ranjas Sweet Dreams...the original version is from the 80's, but I forget the artist at the moment.
Re: PS4 Slumps to Yet Another NPD Defeat in October
Re: Review: Waddle Home (PS4)
Wait, this can be played without the VR Headset? When my kids were looking at it, I was going to purchase it for them, but saw the VR at the bottom that said it was just for VR. Can anyone tell me if this is true or false, and how I can tell which games are just for VR and which ones can be used with the controller instead?
Re: Talking Point: How's Your PlayStation VR Hype Holding Out?
@get2sammyb Cursed nintendo is making me hold off on buying the VR...want the Switch first, but even then, I'll wait until the VR goes down in price and just continue watching the game footage on the few that I think look amazing.
What are your thoughts on Until Rush Dawn Of Blood???
Re: We Got Up Close and Personal with the Nintendo PlayStation
@Thegentleman Sega ended before Microsoft, so they would probably be bought by Nintendo/Sony. I don't think we'd even hear of an X-box if the two were together, and if sega joined them...forget anyone else. We'd probably be dealing with just one console and a few other companies trying with no success. Atari definitely would have tried still, but would have failed...Sega would still have gone down under with the Dreamcast and who knows who else would have tried.
Re: We Got Up Close and Personal with the Nintendo PlayStation
Re: Reaction: Nintendo Switch Knocks the Final Nail in PS Vita's Coffin
Re: Horizon: Zero Dawn on PS4 Has Walking Towers
I honestly can't wait for this game! It looks amazing and looks really fun, a good adventure title to come!
Re: Review: Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (PS4)
I really hope (even though I don't see it for almost a year) that the Playstation VR Headset goes down in price...I don't really want to pay that kind of money on it, but I'm seeing many great things I want to play on it! I'm going with what someone said on here...hoping that there will be a good sale on it for black friday! This thing is going to sell greatly for the holiday season! I see Playstation being in the top spot again for the holidays (please don't let Microsoft take it).
