Lots of good deals on it, and if I'm looking at the time of the month, it should also be coming up a FLASH sale this weekend too...it's been 4 weeks since the last, and they seem to happen once a month anymore, so even more goodie deals then! Now, if I just got paid this week, it would be great!!!
I heard the halloween-type theme for October is going to be a large picture of Trump...hey, that would be scary enough, especially if Hillary was also shown in it!!!
Even though I didn't watch it, I went onto here and Nintendolife to look at the games that were announced. Sony has some good games coming, granted I would have rather wanted ICO then Shadow Of Colossus. It gives me even more games that I'd like to have for PS4, with the fact that there is already enough coming out for it that look good, many that are already out that I would like, and a backlog of titles already owned for it. Nintendo's was good too! Lots of games coming out for the Switch that actually gets me wanting to go out and purchase it finally! I wasn't sure about the Switch when it was announced, and to this day, there is still only Zelda out for it that gets me excited for it...now, Mario Odyssey, Mario and Rabbids, Kirby and Yoshi...now it seems like it's worth it to me.
As for the rest, I have no idea what was announced for XBONE, but would like to know what was that won't be on PS4 or Switch. And, there's still more time that companies will announce more games coming between now and the holidays, and we still don't know everything that Sony will announce for the store-front side! Who knows, many more PS2 classics, maybe the addition of PS1 titles, more PSP or VITA titles getting added, possibly PS3 games being added to the store or even some really goodies like Sega adding Dreamcast titles or other companies for a massive virtual arcade section of it! Plus, who knows what will be added to future system updates (hoping for many that PS3 already has and the possibility of actually being able to play regular DVD's on the system itself). Even if the presentations of E3 weren't that grand, we still have 6 months to see what else will be added...I'm actually glad they didn't give everything away, makes people hyped for what could be next!
Anyways, a new Infamous game would be nice, but if they're taking this long to make a new game, hopefully it's something new...meaning new IP, or they possibly have more than one game.
This is definitely one that my wife and I will be playing together, however, I hate the games that use smart phones (I personally hate the smart phone generation and cell phones in general), but still, looks like a fun trivia party game...and we definitely need some good party games on the PS4. Can you also use tablets or the computer in this game, or is it just smart phones.
The game announcements weren't that bad, and even if there is not a 'ton' of exclusives coming this year, there's still probably enough that will be releasing this year too, and there's already a huge backlog for many gamers. I still can't wait for Knack 2, as I did love the original, and we still have games coming...Everybody's Golf in August and there is still more...lots of games to look forward to this year, and who knows how many more will be added to that list by the holidays! That given, I'm still not giving up hope on getting a new Devil May Cry or possibly ICO being re-remastered for PS4...also, Ape Escape, Twisted Metal and a new Infamous would be nice too!!!!
The Evil Within was a great title, but the original's graphics seemed like PS3-era, close to the beginning, so I'm looking forward to the sequel and see what they can do! Other than that, not bad!
My fears...not being able to purchase every game and having a wish list too big...as it's already big enough and I own 82 physical games and over 200 downloaded titles...come on, and then there's more coming that look great and still some from the past few years I have yet to get...and my backlog is already huge and I still never even bought the VR Headset yet!!!! Yup, that's my fear!!!!
As for everything else, I'm expecting some new surprises, and this just may be my wishlist, but I'm hoping for a new Jak And Daxter title as well as the originals in a nice collectible Retail disc, a new Sly Cooper, Medieval, Twisted Metal, a Motorstorm collection, a new Mod Nation Racers, Playstation All Stars Battle, Ape Escape, a nice Grandia collection that includes my favorite of Part 2, a new Devil May Cry, the return of the legacy of kain series, a new Castlevania, Hot Shots Tennis, a Spyro The Dragon Collection and a new Spyro the Dragon and a new Crash Bandicoot title and for some reason, how about some love for Lemmings again!!!! Yup, a big wish list, but maybe I won't be too let down...also, an announcement that the PS4 will finally be able to play CD's and DVD's and we'll be able to download the Movies and TV Episodes we bought from the store, onto the system's hard drive itself without having to be connected to the internet...a nice feature for people that enjoy taking it on the 'go'.
@Th3solution Fable wasn't too bad of a game, but if you already had quite the amount of RPG and RPG-Adventure titles on PS2, PS1 or even the upped consoles, it wasn't anything to write home about. Forza isn't the best racing game either, it's just the best racing game on Xbox...trust me, Gran Turismo is by far better. Other than that, the best exclusives for X-box was on their original console (Fable, Toe Jam And Earl 3, Shenmue 2, Elders Scrolls 3, Panzer Dragoon Orta and more)...that seemed to be the time where they felt more strong to myself...but sega really helped them out. There were a few on 360...Viva Pinata's were fun, Dead Or Alive Xtreme 2 was actually a fun volleyball sim, Alan Wake wasn't too bad, but once you start playing it, it seems like you've come to the game and the stories before (hint...Silent Hill and Eternal Darkness come to mind in a way). If you have a Wii, there's no real point in getting a 360, and with the games becoming hard to find, there's definitely no point now. I've stuck by Sony and Nintendo (granted I got rid of the Wii...just like you, a dust collector...and didn't keep the Wii U for that long...mainly due to having to wait 6 months for a new game to even arrive), but Sony and Nintendo seem to become the ones that will stick around for more generations...some reason, I don't see Microsoft sticking around in the console scene, but going back to the PC scene again.
I've still been thinking about an Xbox One...still somewhat, but am now putting money towards a Switch and a Playstation VR Headset first. The price has to be right on an Xbone, especially with the various problems I've had with the 360...still, unless I get a Kinect with XBONE, there's only a few games that would please me to get it (Cuphead hasn't been released yet, so I won't count that) but, Sunset Overdrive and Rare Replay are the only games I'd get for it, and I doubt another Viva PiƱata or Banjo Kazoie title is coming and Conker...what happened to that and where is it now? If they would keep most of their IP's, (and I don't like Halo or Gears), I'd continue with them. Blinx was fun on Xbox, but they stopped...more that stopped...Project Gotham Racing, Rallisport Challenge, Fusion Frenzy, Amped, NFL Fever, Voodoo Vince and there were many others. I loved the original Xbox, but Sega was what got me to love it (Toe Jam And Earl 3, Shenmue 2, Panzer Dragoon Orta)...360 was fun with RARE's titles, but started to get old like the Wii eventually did.
Sony shouldn't worry, they're so far ahead in this console war, there's no need to worry, the 3rd party companies are going to develop their games where the audience is, and unless Microsoft sells the heck out of the Scorpio, they still won't have it...plus, just like what others mentioned, they need to focus on exclusive games, which they haven't been since the launch of the XBONE...the games are what will make or break a system as still keeping the 3rd parties happy...something that broke the Wii U from becoming a hit, and just like the Wii U, nintendo screwed up on the marketing, Microsoft did so with the XBONE, so it's pretty much at a loss, instead of them forking over the money for this, and possibly hurting their image to the fans that bought the XBONE, maybe just work more towards their next console, as the current ones are already in the 'mid' section of life. If Sony really was concerned, they'd just announce that they were working on the PS5, but they're not. And with more games announced for the PS4, Sony could still dominate and continue...plus, even the Switch, which is selling out, has big games that are coming and more to announce, and with Sony having the biggest section of E3 and nintendo in second, Microsoft needs to get on the ball and focus on the games more, but something tells me most of their E3 will be the focus on Scorpio, instead of games.
And since this weekend should be the weekend of a Flash Sale in the US, this could also be good...plus, who knows what kind of sales will be on the Playstation store during E3.
The only reason that there are certain people (myself NOT included) want the backwards compatibility, is because they did not own the previous system, but want to play some of the games on it.
Where I would stand and actually want the backwards compatibility on a new system, would be to be able to put an older system away and off of my shelf for a while, which would in turn give that older system a longer life. It's a nice feature, just like an Ottoman to a recliner, but it's also not a need, but would be nice to have that option if someone wanted it. The only thing that I want out of the PS4, is to have it play DVD's, something that I still don't get why it can't do...also CD's too, but I guess that somewhat gets connected to the backwards compatability-thing. Oh well, if I turn on the PS4, I want to play PS4 games. If I go downstairs and turn on the PS3, I want to play PS3 games. Guess I don't really care, but the way I can look at it, and this is when I owned the Wii U, the Wii games looked horrible, since the Wii U was HD graphics and the Wii wasn't. The Wii titles looked fuzzy and horrible. The same went with playing PS1 games on the PS3 (or even PS2 on the original models of the system)...just didn't look the same and looked fuzzier and worse than playing them on the original console. Now, I'm not sure how the 360 games look on the XBONE, but I'm sure they still don't look the same as playing them on the 360.
@Splat However, Stardew Valley would be a nice addition for both, and possibly a few others, but the Big AA titles will probably miss Switch. To me, it's fun to get the trophies for the games that come on both, so they'll be gotten on the PS4 first. However, if the game is addicting and fun, and it's also available on Switch at a cheap price, I'd double dip...however, just like all of nintendo's consoles, even if a game is available on all three consoles, nintendo's version seems to be the most expensive of the batch...something I don't really get to this day.
True. Since PS2 days, I owned a PS2 and Gamecube (sorry to say that I loved the Gamecube more), then the Wii and PS3 (PS3 was my choice) and now, a PS4 and eventually...maybe by next year, a Switch. The way I see it and always have, both companies have great IP's, but, since Gamecube, it's always been where Sony gets the sequels (Blood Omen 2 was on Gamecube, but the others weren't, along with Balder's Gate and Gauntlet), which is something that I hope the Switch doesn't miss out on (which I'm sure it will). Nintendo is the kid-friendly system, that still has the games that draw the older crowd (like myself) into them too...who doesn't like playing Mario Kart or a Mario adventure? Sony has their great exclusives too...Hot Shots Golf is a game that my wife and I play to death, along with Buzz and Sing Star! No matter what, I'll always be the Sony and Nintendo fan...unless a Dreamcast 2 comes around or another Sega Console, but just like in the past, I'll own all three then! (Dreamcast, PS1 and N64...yup, still have 'em!!!!)
@ShogunRok I almost forgot about Ni No Kuni 2. For Some reason, since my PS3 died and I traded in most, I'd also like to see them re-release the first title on the PS4 too. Still love how the nintendo switch fans think they're getting the first and next one...hmm...sony exclusive I believe.
Granted that there's already so much coming out this year than what I'll have time to play...Wipeout Omega Collection, Crash n-sane trilogy, Everybody's Golf and Dragon Quest Heroes 2...I'm still interested in to see God Of War 4 and Last Of Us Part 2. However, Sony will definitely get attention with the fact that Spiderman will be their exclusive comic title! I'm still wondering what else they'll have up their sleeves...possibly a new Jak And Daxter, Sly Cooper, Twisted Metal, Ape Escape, Buzz, Little Big Planet or even possibly Playstation All Stars Battle Royale 2???? Can't wait to see!
@RPE83 Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game, it is good and very entertaining...guess it just comes with age and each generation of people trying to learn the 'newest' generation items...even though most of the generations end up coming back...like the 80's seemed to come back with kids styles. Eh, even the games seemed to come back to the 80's, including film and TV. Just a thing, but get ready for when you start seeing things you grew up with now being called RETRO...that's when you feel old. I'm 37 and I hate seeing everything I grew up with being called RETRO!!!!
@RPE83 Age doesn't matter, it wasn't that bad of a game and I'm 37. To me, it's like someone being older watching Friday The 13th or some other horror flicks or even the college comedies...again, not the age group that we're in, but enjoyable!!! That's kind of the way I see it!
Well, tried Life Is Strange many months ago...too old for it and didn't really care for it. Killing Floor 2 didn't look too great to me, just more of the same. Last month I ended up already owning both games, so the Plus freebies weren't that great to me now for 2 months...however, enjoying the discounts on games and the new Plus Sale is pretty good to be able to nab both Need For Speed titles for a decent price, the Grand Theft Auto Trilogy for a decent price and some other goodies! The sale for this week makes up for it for me! Other than that, I'll just wait to see what's in store for July, even though it's summer and I'd rather be outside doing something else or playing with the kids!
Well, my favorite fighting games are still Mortal Kombat, Eternal Champions, Clay Fighters and for some reason...Ballz...unless you include Smash and Playstation All Stars into that category, then those two too...other than that, I'll wait for Tekken 7 to go down in price to a reasonable one...$20. But, really looking forward to Crash and Wipeout, as it's been a long time waiting for Wipeout the most (have the crash games on PS3, but will buy the remaster for the PS4). Now, on with Jak and Daxter coming out soon and the remasters of the original 5 pyro games, and I'll be set...and possibly Rayman 1-3, a new Sly Cooper, Twisted Metal, Syphon Filter, A new Resistance, Ape Escape 1-4 remastered, Jumping Flash remastered, Medieval (come on, give them another go) and...even though they've been released to death...Sega Genesis classics including the original Sonic titles and Toe Jam And Earls!!!! PS, out of the box, anyone hear any more about the newest Toe Jam And Earl game that was being made by some indie company???
Hopefully this fixes the store issues. I'm finding it going from fast, to now re-loading constantly and slowing down...please don't let it become like the PS3's store became!
In the next big updates...being able to download your movies and tv episodes bought through the store, onto the system's HD or external, and being able to watch them without having to be connected to the internet...especially for people like myself that go on long trips, don't always have internet access from them, and like to take the console with me for something to do at times...definitely something that would be nice. Another addition, being able to find the avatars that were bought or downloaded...seriously, why do I have to search for each one in the store to be able to add them as my avatar??? Why is there not a section somewhere onto the system itself that shows you which ones you have available to yourself??? Other than that, being able to add a second External Hard Drive would also be nice...just imagine being able to add 2x 8TB externals and get a massive amount of space onto the system!!!!
As I honestly hated the PSOne, and picked Gamecube over the PS2, the Playstation 3 was what brought me over to sony and kept me going with the PS4. So many great games on the PS3. The store was pretty fast in the beginning, but became horrible for the past 3 years (slowness and kicking you on and off constantly)...however, never stopped me with over 400+ downloaded titles, 300+ tv episodes, 100+ movie downloads, many themes, many avatars, a few game soundtracks and over 200+ physical retail games...all with just a 2TB internal hard drive no doubt (shame we weren't able to go higher or get the nice external hard drive support to give more space). Truly was an incredible system with some great new IP's (Last Of Us, Uncharted, Little Big Planet, Puppeteer, Sorcery, Medieval Moves, Eye Pet, Sports Champions, Motorstorm) and still kept going with their older classics (Hot Shots Golf, Twisted Metal, God Of War, Jak And Daxter, Sly Cooper, Ratchet And Clank, Ape Escape, Buzz and Sing Star). Many lasting memories of my wife and I playing the party games and Sing Star to death (yup, 100-200 sing star songs bought and downloaded). Playstation 3 brought me to Sony in a big way, and I never regret it!!!! Still have the original 'nicely polished' console (new HD of course) that still plays not only PSone but also PS2 games. Love it!!!!! Hopefully, with it's end, we'll get an update for the PS4 to where we can save the movies and tv episodes bought from the store, onto the hard drive itself (to where someone doesn't have to be connected to the internet to get and watch them) and another option to be able to store our own photos and home movies onto it too!!!! I guess, while I'm wishfully thinking, I'll also hope for the PS3 titles to make their way over to the PS4 store too!!!! Or at least a nice Remaster of Dante's Inferno and the Castlevania titles...maybe some Splatterhouse too to give it a fresh look!!!!
Waiting for this game!!!! Seems like forever, and played the PS4 Out Of Bounds to death...disappointed no trophy support ever came to the PS3, especially when they added Move support, but then we got the Vita version as a download, and I bought that one too and played that to death! Will be nice to get a fun Golf game for PS4, and since it's Hot Shots Golf (now with the Hot Shots taken away), can't wait for it...especially since it's only $40!!!!! With this and Crash Trilogy, I'll be set for a while in PS4 love!!!!
@Rob_230 Now even nintendo went that route with the Switch and 3DS...the micro SD cards are just as expensive, and I kind of miss the old days of never needing them (granted it's the 16-bit era on down). Even when the PS2 came out, and all that was available at the time was the 8MB Memory cards...which they were even expensive back then...as soon as the games were coming out, many of them were taking up 1-2MB of space on it...which then left the consumer of purchasing too many to keep track of. Gamecube was the same, when nintendo only made 59-block memory cards (which were hard to find) and many of the games were taking up more than that. Sports games were horrible to buy back in those days, as they took up too much. That was one thing I actually liked about the X-box for it's internal memory, which took many games to be able to even fill it up. Then came this past generation, where the 500GB of space barely cut it out...games were taking more space for save data and the download size was horrendous...sometimes I was thinking this is a way for the companies to try and sell more consoles, but for people that actually enjoyed gaming, loved having a large library and others who didn't have a lot of money or space for multiple consoles, it's a hazard that the companies continue to play with. Even PS4 is doing this, 1TB isn't really a lot of space when games are taking up 50+GB onto the machine itself, and even getting constant updates which take up more GB...when I only had 500GB of space (which over a hundred is taken away when you first turn it on), 22 retail games later, I was completely out until they finally allowed External HD's. This should be allowed for now on, and they should also make it where you can add as much space as you want...it would even be nice if the console could come out with no memory, you purchase your own HD, and the cost of the system can really be lowered in price for more people to enjoy (granted many would complain about having no memory on it).
Sorry for the long rant there, guess I really got going on it. The External is lovely to have...something I wish they would have added for the PS3 since I have a bunch of downloaded games, retail games, tv episodes and movie downloads on it...2TB of internal still doesn't cut it. Hopefully the next generation gets it right, but even if they give a console that has 8TB of internal, the games will just take it away like nothing...must be something there, right?!!!
Anyways, if Sony makes another handheld (which I still don't see), hopefully they get the memory right, or at least give the system a fair share of HD space on it. Nobody wants to buy the system, spend more on memory and then also a game...gets to be too expensive and many parents like myself, would walk away from it and go the cheaper route...which ended up being the DS (which didn't really need one at the time until it became the DSI) or the 3DS which comes with one. The Switch is the newest machine that proves that the memory cards can be expensive. If I bought it, and had to pay $80 for a memory card, I'd use that money to want to buy a few games instead. It's not just memory cards though, there's no reason that controllers have to cost as much as a new game either...$60 is expensive...and nintendo's cost of $70+ shows that nintendo are even pigs in the market.
Kind of reminds me a little big of Herdy Gerdy for the PS2 mixed with Harvest Moon and a little Ni No Kuni. Looks interesting though, will be nice to see a little more about it.
@Rob_230 I think most people look at store shelves for the VITA. Most of the ones who say it's starved for games, never probably picked one up, looked into the catalogue of retail games and never went onto the store to look at the download side. VITA is a great system...true I don't own one anymore or the PSP which broke last year on me...but I had a pretty good library of retail games for the VITA too at the time (I think about 30)...PSP I had over a hundred for, which is way more than I ever owned on the DS or 3DS. Sony made great portables, but they didn't really focus on the kids (which were the main ones playing the nintendo portables) and the expensive memory cards were outrageous...even during the PSP's time period...almost more than the system and way more than a game for the system. It's going to be funny to see if nintendo is even going to make a successor to the 3DS or just stick with the Switch...especially after 3rd parties are kind of drawn away from the Switch to see if it will continue selling or if the market is there. If Sony could take that market with a handheld, and bring the big AA games and the kid-friendly games (granted they wouldn't have the nintendo IP's), they COULD make a great handheld...as long as they get everything else right with it too. Sega tried and they could have made it better too...the Game Gear was just too big and the batteries were costing too much to keep it running.
Eh...as much as I loved the PSP and the titles it brought fourth (Loco Roco is still my fave and Patapon was great), it still struggled alongside nintendo's DS, and the PSP was better than it! The VITA was incredible compared to the 3DS graphics wise, but the games didn't flow out for it, killing it quickly. IF sony was to make another handheld...which I don't see it happening until PS5 (which it will be like the Switch)...they'd have a lot of work to do...first of all, get rid of the expensive memory cards that they kept on doing. The PSP's was expensive when it first came out, the VITA's utterly expensive...almost more than the system itself! The next...keep the games flowing and don't stop after a year! PSP had many great games, but soon Sony stopped it and then 3rd parties became absent...the same went with the VITA...next, bring some kind of games that not only the adults want to play, but the kids too, and make it more kid-friendly (the kids are the ones who really play the portables in the US).
As much as I'd love to see a new Sony Portable, there's also reasons why I don't...Playstation TV was a flop, The VITA flopped kind of, the PSP Mini was a horrible idea (if that's what the PSP that only had download-only was called) and then Sony gave up too soon on Move and Wonderbook (seriously, one game in the US). Sony needs to just stick with the PS4 (which is where the market and money is right now for them) and the VR (which is an expensive machine that needs the games and focus on). All Sony has to do is look into the past with handhelds...Atari tried to compete with Nintendo...Failed...Sega tried to compete...ended up failing...Sony tried it once...didn't come close...Sony tried it again...failed...Microsoft wanted to try but then didn't. Too many companies tried, but nintendo always dominates the handheld world, and even nintendo is starting to fall from that (the 3DS is not as massive as the DS or even the Gameboy once was).
I guess it all comes down to the cost of the game...other than that, if the price is right or if it goes on sale, it could still be a fun little title to play for a while!
I'm actually looking forward to what's in store for Sony and Nintendo this year. PS4 is definitely my favorite system to date and has been for many generations, with not many systems that got me as hyped as this has...there's been many great games on the PS4, some not even the triple A games, but it seems to have been getting many titles that I haven't played since my youth on the Atari and NES, and that's what has me excited onto what else could come for it! As nintendo goes, I honestly can't wait to see what they announce for the Switch...I don't own the console and I still am waiting to see if it's actually even worth investing in, and with the fact that they haven't announced the virtual console part of the E-Shop and not many games lining up the system, that will be another interesting point. As Microsoft goes, I never really got into anything that they have done. Sega was the big factor for me purchasing the original X-Box (toe Jam And Earl 3 being the biggest) and the 360 just didn't sit well with me (was more towards the PS3 even to this day). Nintendo it's been a while, not since Gamecube have I been excited for anything that they've done (I own a 3DS but have gotten rid of the Wii and the cursed Wii U). As far as anything goes, I'll be first to see some footage for Sony first and nintendo second with skipping on Microsoft all together...I still see nothing on XBONE that looks enticing, but I still don't really see much on Switch either...maybe something could change my mind for it, but I doubt it.
Sweet!!! Would also be nice to have a Fantastic Beasts game too! Would be even better if they would bring back all of the older Harry Potter titles in one nice collection too (since it seems everyone is doing that recently).
In all honesty, if there wasn't such a big shortage of Switch systems, the sales would still be with Mario Kart at number one probably. Nintendo...once again...shorts with items again of their NEXT system (Gamecube with the memory cards in the past, Wii console all together, the Wii Remote until it became bundled with Wii Play). As I'd love to purchase a Switch (but waiting until the summer of 2018 probably), it still doesn't look that enticing.
As Prey goes, can't wait to actually purchase it, as I did love playing it on the 360 back in the days. Can't wait to see what the updated game looks and plays like!
@NinjaWaddleDee I'm with you...I see it also coming to nintendo, but I'm thinking it will come more onto the XBONE, depending on the size of the whole collection.
Who cares...the PS4's will sell, and eventually, if it is only a timed exclusive, it will come out on the Switch and XBONE. The only problem with these, like Rise Of The Tomb Raider, is that the price drops on the main console it came out on, and the others get a full priced title. Granted I don't own an XBONE and have no desire to purchase one, it's nice that those that own it without a PS4 in their homes, will be able to play a decent title too. If people are complaining about Crash not being exclusive to PS4, since the originals were exclusives for PS1, just remember this...Ducktales and the rest of the early Disney Afternoon games were exclusive to NES...the Collection didn't come out for nintendo only (which also saw a bunch of those nintendo fans hating, not like they never complain...chuckles...about everything). Sorry, I'm actually a nintendo fan too. Will have to say one thing, I plan on purchasing a Switch some time in 2018 or beyond, and I'll be getting this game for PS4...would I double dip if it came out on Switch too...yup!
@Flaming_Kaiser Even worse is how long the PS3 has been out!!!! I honestly don't even think the 360 did that good over there either. Not really sure how the original X-box faired either...seems like Nintendo and Sony own the markets over there! I've always wondered how the Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Gamegear faired over there!
Eh, E3 is coming right around the corner for the market to get excited. Hopefully nintendo can keep the momentum going, it's been a while since they've had a successful console after the Wii U fiscal, so it's nice to see nintendo enter the race again (and yes, I know the 3DS has done great over there). PS4 is finally starting to slow down, which means that Sony just needs to start upping the game a little...more games that are what people are wanting, plus, the next Uncharted will be arriving soon, which means PS4 will rise again!!!! It's not like Sony always has to be on top for everything, so it's nice to see someone else take the lime light for a while...as for X-box...wow, sad when the Wii U and VITA are beating it to death.
@Giygas_95 If you like Ratchet and the Jak games, it's definitely one to try...considering you can get it relatively cheap too in stores if you find it, it's not that bad of a game...not really sure where all of the hate came from for it, but it's a good game to play if you don't have a big backlog of titles already!!!!
Honestly, I played and loved the first Knack...still own it and even though I've beaten it twice to get all of the little secrets in it (and get a platinum trophy), I'll still never get rid of it and will definitely come back to it again! Can't wait for the sequel...with this, Everybody's Golf (Hot Shots) and the Crash Trilogy, I'll be all set. Now, if a new Silent Hill, Castlevania, Splatterhouse, Ico, Primal, Twisted Metal, Spyro (like the old spyro's), Jak And Daxter (a new one) and Sly Cooper come on the system, I'll be happy with the PS4 for life!!!!
Back to the point, I've been looking forward to this, as I actually enjoyed the Dead Island title...even bought it again on PS4. Kind of looking forward to what they'll do in this one, as I believe it was the Beach-theme that got me interested in it. Haven't played Dying Light, but after reading a few comments, it must be a pretty decent horror title.
Well, how long will this one last to be able to play. There's enough free games on the PS4 right now, and many I can't even play because it can't find anyone or the servers are already down. Guess I'll just stick to Gems Of War and a few others for the time being.
No. If a game is not finished, don't get people to purchase an un-finished game. If they end up liking it and it never arrives...there will be complaints, just as many complaints as there would be if it wasn't the best. No matter what, and it's basically this day in age, there will be too many complaints, and if Sony allowed early access to these, Sony would be the one at fault no matter what (in peoples eyes). Companies get too much backlash as it is, so why add more flames to the already burning fire.
This game looks really fun, which is what I like in games...fun. Especially the ones that will attract more than just 'adult' fans, and the PS4 needs some nice family-friendly games, and with people creating various scenes and uploading them (like Little Big Planet), this should be a nice experience, even if it doesn't take off too well...and I remember many people stating that Little Big Planet wouldn't take off. The game looks great, and it's nice to see this style, even though the sand box era has been done to death, but it's also nice to get some great simulation-style games too! My wife, kids and myself have been waiting for this for a long time!
For some reason, I never saw the 'Zeldaish' in the game, but I did enjoy it for it's time. Enslaved (which came a little while later and Maijin and the Forsaken Kingdom) had more time for consuming my time, but I owned it at one time...I've been playing part 2 on the PS4...which already looks a little outdated, so I'll probably pick up the first one too in the wait of part 3. I honestly wish, one game that will get remastered (actually 2) and re-released on the PS4 (granted they're both on PS3, but both are becoming hard to find) is Dante's Inferno and Alice: Madness Returns. Both of these titles deserve another chance too!!!! Also, any word on Beyond Good And Evil 2??? (granted that last question was away from the comments)
Not too bad, but I was hoping for a little more. I honestly wish that Plus would have another PS2 classics sale like they did last month...would be nice to pick up some more that I missed the last time (Primal, Dark Cloud, Dark Cloud 2) and I'd also like to see the PS2 list start making a comeback...it's pretty shallow right now, and they seem to be skipping it like Nintendo is skipping their virtual console games on the 3DS, and I don't really get why.
Anyways, will probably pick up Gravity Rush Remastered and I saw Chronicles Of Teddy at a good price...other than that, there's too much in my backlog, and there's more that keep on coming...Crash Trilogy and Everybody's Golf coming next up. Too Much, but I love the system just the same!!!
I wonder if the PS4 will outsell the PS2 in it's lifespan. It doesn't seem to be stopping or slowing down any time soon, and it's nice to see that sony will continue to lead in this generation!
I loved the first, and I'd love to see a newer one...more in the form of Smash though with a story-mode area like Smash Brawl on Wii. It could be fun, especially if they add the right characters this time around and continue with DLC later on...imagine adding some of the Hot Shots Golf characters or even Buzz himself...could be humorous and fun at the same time. I'd also like to see a Kart-racing title too with their mascots. The only problem with both of these, is that many will say they are 'copying'....at least the nintendo fanatics will say that, but those fanatics will never admit if nintendo copied someone else.

Re: PlayStation Plus Members Unlock Double Discounts on NA PS Store
Lots of good deals on it, and if I'm looking at the time of the month, it should also be coming up a FLASH sale this weekend too...it's been 4 weeks since the last, and they seem to happen once a month anymore, so even more goodie deals then! Now, if I just got paid this week, it would be great!!!
Re: This PS4 Theme Is a New Low
I heard the halloween-type theme for October is going to be a large picture of Trump...hey, that would be scary enough, especially if Hillary was also shown in it!!!
Re: Reaction: Curtain Closes on Ill-Tempered E3 2017
Re: E3 2017: What the Hell Is Going on with Sucker Punch?
Why are people talking about a PS5?
Anyways, a new Infamous game would be nice, but if they're taking this long to make a new game, hopefully it's something new...meaning new IP, or they possibly have more than one game.

Re: E3 2017: July's First Free PlayStation Plus Game Announced
This is definitely one that my wife and I will be playing together, however, I hate the games that use smart phones (I personally hate the smart phone generation and cell phones in general), but still, looks like a fun trivia party game...and we definitely need some good party games on the PS4. Can you also use tablets or the computer in this game, or is it just smart phones.
Re: Reaction: Sony Fails to Score an E3 Hattrick, But Still Brings the Best Games
Re: Round Up: Every Announcement and Trailer from Bethesda's E3 2017 Press Conference
The Evil Within was a great title, but the original's graphics seemed like PS3-era, close to the beginning, so I'm looking forward to the sequel and see what they can do! Other than that, not bad!
Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Hopes and Fears for PS4 at E3 2017?
Re: Sony: We're Not Frightened of Xbox Scorpio
Re: Sony: We're Not Frightened of Xbox Scorpio
Re: Sony Thanks the Fans with Days of Play Promotion Through E3 2017
And since this weekend should be the weekend of a Flash Sale in the US, this could also be good...plus, who knows what kind of sales will be on the Playstation store during E3.
Re: Sony's Jim Ryan Just Said a Stupid Thing About Backwards Compatibility
Re: Sony: We See PS4 and Nintendo Switch Sitting Side-by-Side
@Splat However, Stardew Valley would be a nice addition for both, and possibly a few others, but the Big AA titles will probably miss Switch. To me, it's fun to get the trophies for the games that come on both, so they'll be gotten on the PS4 first. However, if the game is addicting and fun, and it's also available on Switch at a cheap price, I'd double dip...however, just like all of nintendo's consoles, even if a game is available on all three consoles, nintendo's version seems to be the most expensive of the batch...something I don't really get to this day.
Re: Sony: We See PS4 and Nintendo Switch Sitting Side-by-Side
Re: Feature: 5 PS4 Exclusives That Will Wow at E3 2017
@ShogunRok I almost forgot about Ni No Kuni 2. For Some reason, since my PS3 died and I traded in most, I'd also like to see them re-release the first title on the PS4 too. Still love how the nintendo switch fans think they're getting the first and next one...hmm...sony exclusive I believe.
Re: Feature: 5 PS4 Exclusives That Will Wow at E3 2017
Re: June 2017 PlayStation Plus Games Announced
@RPE83 Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad game, it is good and very entertaining...guess it just comes with age and each generation of people trying to learn the 'newest' generation items...even though most of the generations end up coming back...like the 80's seemed to come back with kids styles. Eh, even the games seemed to come back to the 80's, including film and TV. Just a thing, but get ready for when you start seeing things you grew up with now being called RETRO...that's when you feel old. I'm 37 and I hate seeing everything I grew up with being called RETRO!!!!
Re: June 2017 PlayStation Plus Games Announced
@RPE83 Age doesn't matter, it wasn't that bad of a game and I'm 37. To me, it's like someone being older watching Friday The 13th or some other horror flicks or even the college comedies...again, not the age group that we're in, but enjoyable!!! That's kind of the way I see it!
Re: June 2017 PlayStation Plus Games Announced
Re: Feature: June 2017 - The Return of 3 Iconic PSone Properties on PS4
@get2sammyb Do you have any word about the Spyro games getting a remastered re-release yet???
Re: Feature: June 2017 - The Return of 3 Iconic PSone Properties on PS4
Re: PS4 Firmware Update 4.70 Is Available to Download Now
Hopefully this fixes the store issues.
Re: Sony Says Goodbye to the PS3 After 10 Years on the Market
Re: Hands On: Has Everybody's Golf on PS4 Been Worth the Wait?
Waiting for this game!!!! Seems like forever, and played the PS4 Out Of Bounds to death...disappointed no trophy support ever came to the PS3, especially when they added Move support, but then we got the Vita version as a download, and I bought that one too and played that to death! Will be nice to get a fun Golf game for PS4, and since it's Hot Shots Golf (now with the Hot Shots taken away), can't wait for it...especially since it's only $40!!!!! With this and Crash Trilogy, I'll be set for a while in PS4 love!!!!
Re: A New PlayStation Vita? The Ridiculously Stupid E3 Rumours Have Begun
Re: Feature: We Talk Peaceful and Promising Open World PS4 Adventure Yonder
Kind of reminds me a little big of Herdy Gerdy for the PS2 mixed with Harvest Moon and a little Ni No Kuni. Looks interesting though, will be nice to see a little more about it.
Re: A New PlayStation Vita? The Ridiculously Stupid E3 Rumours Have Begun
Re: A New PlayStation Vita? The Ridiculously Stupid E3 Rumours Have Begun
Re: Review: Skylar & Plux: Adventure on Clover Island (PS4)
I guess it all comes down to the cost of the game...other than that, if the price is right or if it goes on sale, it could still be a fun little title to play for a while!
Re: Soapbox: Gamers Are Sleeping on Sony's E3, And That's a Good Thing
Re: Is Warner Bros Working on a Harry Potter RPG for PS4?
Sweet!!! Would also be nice to have a Fantastic Beasts game too! Would be even better if they would bring back all of the older Harry Potter titles in one nice collection too (since it seems everyone is doing that recently).
Re: UK Sales Charts: PREY Hunts Down Mario Kart in Second Week
@Lurker Thanks for the heads up...for some reason I thought it was a remaster of the original!!!! Is it any good compared to the first?
Re: UK Sales Charts: PREY Hunts Down Mario Kart in Second Week
Re: Look, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Probably Isn't a PS4 Exclusive
@NinjaWaddleDee I'm with you...I see it also coming to nintendo, but I'm thinking it will come more onto the XBONE, depending on the size of the whole collection.
Re: Look, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Probably Isn't a PS4 Exclusive
Re: Japanese Sales Charts: Golden Week Winds Up Weak
@Flaming_Kaiser Even worse is how long the PS3 has been out!!!! I honestly don't even think the 360 did that good over there either. Not really sure how the original X-box faired either...seems like Nintendo and Sony own the markets over there! I've always wondered how the Sega Genesis, Dreamcast and Gamegear faired over there!
Re: Japanese Sales Charts: Golden Week Winds Up Weak
Re: Knack 2 Promises a Candid Response to Fans' Complaints
@Giygas_95 If you like Ratchet and the Jak games, it's definitely one to try...considering you can get it relatively cheap too in stores if you find it, it's not that bad of a game...not really sure where all of the hate came from for it, but it's a good game to play if you don't have a big backlog of titles already!!!!
Re: Knack 2 Promises a Candid Response to Fans' Complaints
Re: Dead Island 2 Hasn't Rotted Away Just Yet
@get2sammyb I bet you also played Kingdom Hearts 3 too, right?!!!!
Re: Dead Island 2 Hasn't Rotted Away Just Yet
@Rudy_Manchego Someone's a GOLDBERGS fan too!!!
Re: Review: Birthdays the Beginning (PS4)
Looking forward to picking this up, as my wife and I kept watching out for it! Another title to keep us playing the PS4 even more to death!
Re: Paladins, That Team Shooter That Isn't Overwatch, Is Now on PS4
Well, how long will this one last to be able to play. There's enough free games on the PS4 right now, and many I can't even play because it can't find anyone or the servers are already down. Guess I'll just stick to Gems Of War and a few others for the time being.
Re: Poll: Should Sony Allow Early Access Games on PS4?
Re: PS4 Exclusive Dreams Remains an Incredibly Attractive Enigma
This game looks really fun, which is what I like in games...fun. Especially the ones that will attract more than just 'adult' fans, and the PS4 needs some nice family-friendly games, and with people creating various scenes and uploading them (like Little Big Planet), this should be a nice experience, even if it doesn't take off too well...and I remember many people stating that Little Big Planet wouldn't take off. The game looks great, and it's nice to see this style, even though the sand box era has been done to death, but it's also nice to get some great simulation-style games too! My wife, kids and myself have been waiting for this for a long time!
Re: Darksiders Duo Bundled Up on PS4 Prior to Sequel
Re: Sony Celebrates Golden Week with PS4 Game Sale on NA PlayStation Store
Re: Sony Expected to Announce 60 Million PS4 Milestone
I wonder if the PS4 will outsell the PS2 in it's lifespan. It doesn't seem to be stopping or slowing down any time soon, and it's nice to see that sony will continue to lead in this generation!
Re: Poll: Should Sony Make a PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale Sequel?
I loved the first, and I'd love to see a newer one...more in the form of Smash though with a story-mode area like Smash Brawl on Wii. It could be fun, especially if they add the right characters this time around and continue with DLC later on...imagine adding some of the Hot Shots Golf characters or even Buzz himself...could be humorous and fun at the same time. I'd also like to see a Kart-racing title too with their mascots. The only problem with both of these, is that many will say they are 'copying'....at least the nintendo fanatics will say that, but those fanatics will never admit if nintendo copied someone else.
