Now, the rumors will come along even faster. Honestly, with the PS4 still cracking sales and the software still flowing for it, I don't get why anyone would want to fork money over for another system so soon. Anyways, the development kits going out now, doesn't necessarily mean much, just means that companies will begin work on a game or two to have them actually ready for it's launch...some big games can take 1-2 years at the most (or about 10 like Kingdom Hearts 3 seems to be...jokingly). In honesty though, even if the PS5 came out before 2020, the PS4 will still be around (retail games coming out for it) beyond that...seems to be the case since the PS2 era. Let's just hope that when Sony does announce the console, they don't mess it up to leave them behind in the console war...no high price console, no weird gimmicks like nintendo does.......speaking of which, imagine if Sony and Microsoft did bring out a new console so soon...the Switch would look horrible then.
PS4 has enough games coming out, so it's no big deal to lose a small company, or have them make more exclusives for another company...sony has plenty. The only thing is getting your game out for the largest install base to sell more, so I don't see them making their money-maker titles for just one company's system only. The Switch is doing and selling great, and it'll be nice to have exclusives (not just nintendo's) out on it, instead of just the past generation titles for it...all the best for that happening, but I'm sorry to say, as an owner of all three consoles (PS4, XBONE and SWITCH), the PS4 is my most played, with the Xbone coming in second...Switch is great, but it really needs the games that will keep me playing it (possibly add a trophy system to it somehow, like many people wanted and for nintendo to start listening to fans, instead of just doing whatever they want). I loved nintendo from the gamecube era on down (granted the Atari was the first system I played), but since the PS3, my love has gone to Sony (sorry, hated the original Playstation and found myself playing the Cube more than the PS2). In the end, it's both Sony and Nintendo for me, but nintendo is seemingly starting to disappoint me more and more.
Back to the subject...losing a small publishing company isn't a big loss. It never really hurt nintendo too much for losing Rare when they did.
Can't wait for this, and running out to preorder it this weekend! These, Crash and You Don't Know Jack was the only reason I ever owned a Playstation 1...didn't really care for the system (loved PS2, Ps3 and the current PS4...PS3 bringing me to fall completely in love with Sony and their consoles). Can't wait though, and my wife loves them, as she still plays them on the PS3. It's going to be fun to reach for the trophies!!!
Eh, I'll probably still buy it on blu ray when it comes out. I actually found the previous two enjoyable, granted they weren't the best, but enjoyable...but with my reviews, I bought the Super Mario Bros movie too, as I found that enjoyable (besides the movie itself being horrible). As for what sammy said about Silent Hill, the movie was a decent horror film...not the sequel, but the first was. Some games can be turned into good movies, it's just finding the right actors and the right directors and the right writers...don't try to make it just like the game, you have to go a different route for ones who don't play games. And never do a House Of The Dead-style movie, with crappy game sounds and game showings in the backdrop. Tomb Raider can work...actually, so could Uncharted, and they could become a hit, it's just up to how they do it. I've been wanting to see Assassin's Creed, but reviews have kept me away. Anyone know if it's actually even worth seeing as something to do, or if it's that plain awful...granted, realize that my wife and I enjoyed the Super Mario Bros movie.
With the fact that many people...myself included...end up boxing up their old consoles and games (some people even getting rid of them and regretting it later on), it's a good way to bring some of them back. After all, hooking up an Atari, NES, Genesis or even a Super NES to a new 4K HD TV, kind of looks horrible anymore, so seeing some classics getting a new life is great to me. I'd still like to see a Vol 3 and Vol 4 of the Atari Anthology Classics, but I'd also like to see more classics too...how about a nice Castlevania Collection from the NES era on up, Splatterhouse, Zombies Ate My Neighbors, Earthworm Jim 1-3 (granted the 3rd was pretty sad), James Pond, Nightmare On Elm Street, The GOONIES 2 and even go into some of Sony's greats...Grandia 1-xtreme, Wild Arms, Twisted Metal, Jet Moto, ATV Offload Fury, the original Tony Hawk's...heck, I'll even go for more remasters of Sony's PSP and VITA titles! I guess what I'm trying to say, is that it's a nice way to fill in the gaps between brand new series and keep people happy...something nintendo should have thought about with the Wii U, or even should think about with the Switch. All in all, it all depends on the price and what is added to them.
@KALofKRYPTON Dimensions is alright...it gets kind of old having to continue to get up from your chair constantly to move the figures around on the Portal, or put new ones together, and the story itself isn't that great...not saying it's a horrible game, but just lacking something that most of the other Lego games have.
Would rather have some other Lego games instead...how about Lego Spongebob, Lego Simpsons, Lego Family Guy, Lego Scooby Doo...or even remasters of some of the older classic ones (Lego Pirates, Lego Star Wars 1-2, Lego Lord Of The Rings). Other than that, we've been having too many Lego games coming out recently, and I just purchased Dimensions at Toys R Us when it was closing ($8 for the starter kit and only $2 for some of the kits...pretty good price for me). Other than that, the only real ones I got into greatly were Lego Indiana Jones 2, Lego Jurassic World and Lego The Movie. It would also be nice to have exclusives for each console. For PS4, A Lego Ratchet And Clank, Lego Jak And Daxter or even a Lego Crash Bandicoot would be nice...for Switch, Lego Mario Bros, Lego Legend Of Zelda or even Lego Kirby. It would definitely be a way to sell not only the games, but move even more consoles too.
The one around me is closing, but they only had certain games part of the clearance areas, as many (Switch, XBONE and PS4...games and consoles that aren't part of the deals) will probably be taken back to the rightful companies. I did get some nice Amiibo figures and found Rock Band 4 for PS4 at a good price...$17 for Rock Band 4 with a guitar. Other than that, it's a big shame, as there's no other toy stores around for kids, and this and Kaybee was ones that I went to as kids. I still remember going in and seeing all the NES and Genesis games hanging up in the background! It was good times! Going to miss it, just like I did with Circuit City, and hopefully we don't lose Best Buy...looks like there's only going to be a few stores that will carry games galore (gamestop and elite).
@Anchorsam_9 I'd still go for it! Been waiting for a new one in the series, and I'm really hoping they don't give up on it. With VR now, I'm waiting for a new Sports Champions, Eye Pet and even a new try on the Wonderbook games. Surprised they didn't try to give the Move games another go with VR.
I've had the game since it first released. The graphics and the gothic atmosphere is incredible. True that's it's difficult...I've died many times and even lost where I was, and true that I haven't played it for a year or so (too many other games came out that made me put it away), but it's definitely one that's worth to try...especially while it's a freebie right now!
The line up looks pretty good, but they could definitely have a lot more for it! Other than that, the system is selling greatly and it's not showing anyway of slowing down. MLB 18 is also an exclusive and was not on the list.
I'm still awaiting on some of their IP's, and it's not saying that we won't get something of them on the online store front or next year...E3 is coming sooner than we think. I'm still awaiting for a new Sly Cooper, Twisted Metal, Medieval, Loco Roco, Hot Shots tennis, Buzz, Ape Escape and another Ratchet And Clank. And ones that I wish they'd bring back...Tourist Trophy, ATV Offroad Fury, Jak And Daxter, Daxter, Playstation All Stars Battle Royale, Mod Nation Racers and a new Little Big Planet would be a nice touch too. However, I also thought bringing back possibly some of the Move games onto the VR would be a nice addition too...Carnival Island, Eye Pet, Sports Champions and Kung Fu Rider.
@Paranoimia I get you there, and it would be nice to have them playable both ways...at least for some it would work out great. Carnival games on the VR could work both ways (granted it would have to use the move wands), and it would be a good way for Sony to actually sell more Move wands in the works too, considering that many people can't afford a $400 VR headset. I guess if they left the online store front for the VR-Only titles, it would be good, but there's some games that they offer a double-dip routine (Elder's Scrolls, Doom)...which these two could have just gotten the update for VR instead...so, yeah, I get what you're saying!
@Paranoimia I agree with you, but, if there was no exclusive titles for the VR, then people would complain about that. It's nice to have exclusives for it, for the ones who bought it (like myself)...as I still wonder if it was worth the investment as there's only a few games I'll play on it. My only concern with it, is why there isn't more retail games for it...people see it on store shelves, with barely any games for it (like the Wii U), and they'll pass on it. This and some of the other ones that are on the store front, could have a retail release to at least give it promotion in stores.
Anyways, I think I lost track on what I was stating.
I've found quite a few bad VR games...some of which are counted as games, but turn out to be just a movie (Monkey King). I've been wanting to pick up Everest VR, but keep on looking at reviews and the stars are at 3, which keeps on making me wait, however the game seems interesting, and seeing yourself in the blizzard conditions, looks neat for VR. Anyone have any reviews of that one? Back to the main game, looked like it would have been a decent sci-fi title, but I can't take the ones that have bad controls. Also, Robinson The Journey was another that could have been great, but the slow walking turns it off rather quickly.
This was great, but as I own it and all the DLC on PS3, I won't be paying a high price point for it right now...possibly when it goes into the bargain bin. Other than all of that, I'd rather wait for a new Burnout, as it's been quite a while.
I'll have to say that the animation in Infamous Second Son is pretty good too...at least the characters blink in more than 1 minute of no eye movement. Also, even though the game wasn't rated top, The Order has some really good animation in it too. Also, Ratchet And Clank Future on the PS3 was rated as great Pixar-style animation. If we're going into bad animation though, just look at the game on Dreamcast called CARRIER. The mouths continue to move and never go with the voices at all!
Yup, just like I kind of figured, the game won't come out in 2018. Something tells me they're enjoying the build up and hype for the game more, than actually building it. Eh, oh well, not a game I was too excited for anyway, but it's wrong to keep people that were, waiting for this long. I could have swore that rumors about part 3 started in the PS3's hey days...could be wrong, it could have been longer.
Sounds like a fun game...however, I just recently bought the Witcher 3 and Monster Hunter World, so may have to wait a bit before delving into this! However, this will definitely be a game on my radar and will definitely be added to my over-grown library of PS4 games (seriously, too much of a backlog of retail and downloads)...plus, also need to get ready for Kirby on Switch (finally wipe the dust off of the system) and we're finally purchasing an Xbox One...so with all of that, there's going to be too much time consumed. Possibly, a game to wait for the price to go down, purchase, and get into it next winter when we're all stuck indoors!
@Yowza I know. I end up having to order my CD's from the author themselves. Alice Cooper's I order from his site, where most of the others come from Amazon...usually more expensive. We have a Best Buy here, but it only has one rack, and it's just compilations, and FYE, which used to be a big music store, now only carries movies and cell phone products and novelties. I was happy when records came back into play, but the prices are outrageous! Glad I kept most of my cassettes, cd's, records and 8-tracks, but I'd still like to continue with some artists...but the artists in the past were the better ones, can't stand this new wave of music with the fake instruments and the dubbed voices because the artists can't sing at all. Miss also having the actual booklet in games too, but hopefully all still comes out on physical copies...one thing I've been loving about the PS4.
I remember playing Mutant League Football and Mutant League Hockey on the Genesis...loved them because it was something different during that time, and still own the two games. Looking forward to picking this one up and reliving the good old days! Just will be waiting for the price to drop a little before I pick it up, or wait for a physical release (if it happens). Still waiting for the next Toe Jam And Earl title to appear or have a release date, and my backlog is too big at the moment on PS4...plus, I'll have Kirby to play on the Switch soon (finally, something to do on the system instead of watching it collect dust)
@Yowza The only thing that would make me bypass a PS5, is if the system went to nothing but download-only...which also goes for if Nintendo did this too. Other than that, I've been giving Microsoft my money for movies and TV now, and I'd go back if Sony would actually listen to people and read comments on their official site, but however, they go unanswered. The only thing I hate about streaming, besides the fact that my internet is so slow it freezes constantly or doesn't even show up, is the fact that if the company deletes the movie, even after you purchase it, you lose it...also goes with items like I Tunes or VUDU...which is why I'm one of those people that prefer physical over downloads...especially with my music, as I prefer the art work and booklets. Guess we're the old school ones!!!
I honestly think more VR games need to see retail space. If you go into the store and look at the VR, then only see a few games for it, most people won't bother to pay the money to buy it...especially older folks or parents that may not know what's available in the Playstation store (or sometimes don't even let their kids into the playstation store to buy). Just seems to be looking non-existence in the retail scene.
@Yowza Neither have I. I've been giving Microsoft money now to do it. It's a shame, because I watch on the PS3 more, and would love to complete some of the series I own, but without being able to download, it's a no-go. Hopefully they get the hint and let people download again, but until then, I skip the video store side anymore too, however, I do look to see what new movies came out and play some trailers, but skip purchasing on that side.
@jmbenetti I agree with the classics, but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen. Don't know why they stopped. I'd also like to see more PSP titles get the remastered treatment too, and they can even do that! Even if they added a way to play the PS2 and PS1 games onto the system, would be nice. Would be really nice if it became compatible with PS1, PS2 and PS3.
I'd still like the option to be able to DOWNLOAD the tv episodes and movies from the Sony store...since that was taken away. Not to sound nasty, but you can still download the stuff on X-box, so why would Sony take away that option. My internet is slow, so sometimes it won't stream the movies and TV, and I can't download on PS3 anymore either. It would just be nice to have that option. Also, the only other thing I wanted, was to be able to save home photos onto the system itself, rather than having to plug in a USB drive (considering that with the External HD and VR hooked in, there's no room). Only other thing, why is it that when you buy an avatar, you have no way of seeing which ones you own? The list comes on the PS3, but they seem to be hidden on PS4, unless you go into the store, find it and add it.
Off topic, did anyone else ever have their account not synch trophies, but just give an annoying error code? Mine won't synch, and the only thing I found out is to save all of my save date to a USB, re-build the system (again) and then move the save data back over and see if trophies synch again. 300 game saves are not something that will take a short time, and then rebuilding the HD again (all of the game updates to wait for and having to put everything back into folders again) is not something I want to do. Anyone have any options without having to go this route?
Crash has been on other platforms for quite a while...Crash Bandicoot 4 on all three in the past, Crash Twinsanity, Crash of the Titans and Crash Mind Over Mutant. I'll agree that the original 3 and Bash and Tag Team need to be a playstation exclusive, considering he was their mascot for a while, but I'm fine with it coming on other platforms too...besides, it already helped sell PS4's...just weird how they'd skip the Xbox One.
I'm still waiting to actually see that big exercise bike for the VR in stores and how much they actually charge for that (since there's only 2 games for it). Other than that, let's look at how many peripherals are made for every system, and most are only used for 1 or 2 games...then you have a big hunk of junk that collects dust (U Draw Tablet, Wii Balance Boards, Zapper Guns, Wii Speak Microphone, Rock Revolution Drum, Rock Band Items, Guitar Hero Items, DJ Hero turntable, Tony Hawk Skateboard, Dance Revolution Mats, NES Track And Field Mat, Active Life Mat, EA Sports Active adaptors, Sing Star Microphones, Scene It Buzzers, Buzz Buzzers, Skylanders Items, Disney Infinity Items, Lego Dimensions Items, Amiibos Figures...the list goes on and on). Guess what I'm trying to say is, depends on price and what games become usage for it, to actually think of something else to sit.
Looks like a neat idea, but just like someone pointed out, it's just a Wii Balance Board updated.
Wow...enough Lego games on the PS4 now! I own 8 of them, and still have most of them to play and complete! I guess I'm still waiting on an Indiana Jones and Pirates Of The Caribbean collection to come onto the PS4 (since the first Indiana one had no trophies on the PS3). Somehow, especially since the Harry Potter ones were re-released, I see all of them getting a re-release. I can only imagine on how many Lego games will be out on the PS4 before the PS5 comes out...or beyond that. Some that I thought would be fun to see in the Lego Series...TMNT, Simpsons, Back To The Future, Wizard Of Oz, Mario (granted that would be for Switch), Ratchet And Clank, Uncharted, Madagascar and Spongebob would just be a few that could work and be kind of fun. They could technically make some that are exclusives for all consoles if they really wanted to! A Lego Planet Of The Apes could be a good game too, even bringing back the old Lego Racers and Lego Soccer Mania titles too.
Eh, I'll still be purchasing it, since my PS3 was stolen with everything for it (including the 2TB internal hard drive on it). Now, when can Devil May Cry 4 HD be released retail?
I guess I'm still waiting for an Oddworld, twisted metal, hot shots golf (with tennis), ATV Offroad fury and some more collections to come too. Would be nice and would also be nice to get more PS2 games on the Playstation store too. Guess with all the retro games making a comeback, I can see some of this happening, but not holding my breath...maybe on the PS5 in the future.
As I'm still trying to complete a large backlog of titles and purchase some of the ones I haven't got from this past year, I'm excited for God Of War, Detroit Become Human, Ni No Kuni 2 and Kingdom Hearts 3. I'd still love to see a Twisted Metal, Ape Escape, new Jak And Daxter, new Ratchet And Clank, Sly Cooper 5 and Loco Roco 3 be made...possibly even more PSP goodies. What would really be nice, is if they add an update to the system that allows PS3, PS2 and PS1 games to be played on it!
I'd honestly just like to have the TV Episodes and Movies bought on the Playstation store, to be played without having to stream (going back to the PS3's hey days of being able to download them onto the hard drive itself). Only other things, is being able to post photos by USB drive, home videos from USB drive all onto the main drive itself (again, like you can with the PS3). Only other thing, either letting us be able to play all PS1, PS2 and PS3 games onto the system, or adding more of a virtual console to it.
Actually went nuts and bought quite a few games. Tumblestone, Horizon, Mortal Kombat XL, Lego City Undercover, Lego Dimensions, Lego Harry Potter Collection and also quite a few from the massive store sale! Also bought Mario Kart 8, Sonic Forces and Puyo Puyo Tetris on Switch, as well as re-purchasing (after having to get rid of them to help pay for bills from my wife's kidney transplant) a 360 system with games, a Wii U with games for that and Wii and a PS2 with a bunch of games. Now, if I can only find a good deal on a PS3 and a 2TB internal hard drive, I'll be all set!
Looking forward to some decent games on it. Still waiting to see some games that I think would be perfect for it...Little Big Planet, some sports titles like Golf, Volleyball...actually, Sports Champions return, Eye Pet. I always thought it would be nice to bring the Move games back into play for it!
I'd settle with more PSP titles being brought over to the store as Remastered, and I'd definitely hope for a new Buzz game (with actual buzzers instead of phones) and for some reason, a new Little Big Planet. I'll also ask and hope for (but could be let down) for Hot Shots Tennis, Twisted Metal, ATV Offroad Fury, a new Jak And Daxter, a new Ratchet And Clank, a new Sly Cooper and some other goodies!
@Mahe I believe so...it's just that if you have one comment on there about the failure of the Wii U or anything about a game on Switch, they jump down your throat. Any game on Switch is fantastic to them, and all Sony and Microsoft has to offer is Call Of Duty...which is what I always end up reading. Apparently, most of them never owned another console and have no idea what's on PS4. To me, PS4 feels like the good old days of the NES, Genesis and Super NES eras...lots of games, lots of genres and almost all are great!
@starman292 I'm with you...I keep on looking at XBONE, but only see a few games for it, and it's basically the Rare Replay for the N64 classics and the few that Rare did for 360. Other than that, Cup Head was the only other game I saw, until I saw reviews that states it's a hard title (which means too much swearing and throwing the controller down for me).
And I'll visit Nintendo Life's site, and read comments about how nintendo is the greatest and they never do wrong. Sorry to say, I own the PS4 and Switch, and granted to say that the Switch is collecting dust...still not enough to fulfill the price of the system yet, but not saying it's horrible. Give it time, PS4 is still dominating and Switch has a long road ahead of it to even come close to catching up. Other than that, Switch is counted more as a handheld (at least to me), and it's underpowered, so I really wouldn't have Sony competing with Nintendo...as for Microsoft, did any of their consoles sell well in Japan?
There's many VR games that look really fun, but it's the price of most that keep me away. I'd like to purchase the Apollo Space one and the Everest one, but why does almost every VR title have to be in the $15-20 range or higher...many are not worth that price. I bought Eagle Flight at full price, only to be let down by it's 'not worth it' tag. Hopefully some better titles come out for it that are better worth it.
This would have been a nice addition...Sega needs to bring back their IP's...I'd love for a new Skies Of Arcadia, Evolution, Seaman (for the VR), Toe Jam And Earl, Golden Axe, Ristar, Columns, Altered Beast, Greendog and Panzer Dragoon title to make it's way forward. Maybe we'll at least get a Dreamcast, Genesis, and Game Gear collection...but I'm sure my hopes will fade away.
Good for Sony. If they keep this up, they can probably come very close or even surpass the Playstation 2's sales over it's lifetime! Does anyone know what the total units sold for either so far?
@KirbyTheVampire I can see where you're going with people getting bored of the same formula year after year, and I don't like Call Of Duty titles either, but look at other games for systems too...Mario (same thing over and over again), Zelda (same thing) then there's also all the sports franchises, Tony Hawk, Skylanders, Final Fantasy...basically everything is the same thing, even genres are basically the same thing. I always found it funny with the Grand Theft Auto's...every one of them is the same thing, but they still sell extremely well.
This looks pretty fun, may get it depending on price and what else comes out. WHAT THE HECK IS DUCK GAME? I haven't found it on the US store-side, unless I'm looking in the wrong area?
@sinalefa Both are relatively the same, but part 2 just adds more to do! Both are great games and fun to play! If I were you, I'd start out with part 1 first! It would be like playing Little Big Planet 2 before the first!
These were my two favorites and most played on the PSP...so I now have both on the PS4 too! They're fun and...well, just plain fun! Hopefully the Midnight Carnival one comes over too! Just a shame that they stopped these after the weird and very short PS3 title on launch. I'd love for them to make a new one from the ground up and release it on PS4! Just imagine a 2-player game, couch co-op mini games and a bigger world to explore! Now that both are out digitally, does that mean (since I bought both already) that we're get a nice Retail version with great box art cover??? Even though I spent $30 total on them, I'd still delve another $40 to get a retail physical copy! Now let's bring the 2x Hot Shots Golf Open Tee titles over!!!
@PS_Nation Forgot about that one...I also enjoyed Vexx, Dr. Muto and I Ninja too! The Kao The Kangaroo ones were enjoyable too! It's a shame we don't get many platforms anymore. Even most of the Dreamworks and Disney ones of the past were fun too. Madagascar and Aladdin were my favorites.
@get2sammyb The Loco Roco and Patapon games looked pretty good in 4K! I'd honestly love to see some more PSP games come over to the PS4...thought it was happening on PS3 when the hot shots golf game was re-released for it
Yes, I've been waiting for it! Now, let's bring Spyro, Croc, Gex, Ty The Tasmanian Tiger, Tak And The Power Of Juju and some other great platform trilogies too! Also, any news on a new Twisted Metal yet or an ATV Offroad Trilogy yet? Come on Sony!!!!!!

Re: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Finally Announced, Glides onto PS4 in September
Can't wait for this, and running out to preorder it this weekend! These, Crash and You Don't Know Jack was the only reason I ever owned a Playstation 1...didn't really care for the system (loved PS2, Ps3 and the current PS4...PS3 bringing me to fall completely in love with Sony and their consoles). Can't wait though, and my wife loves them, as she still plays them on the PS3. It's going to be fun to reach for the trophies!!!
Re: Movie Review: Tomb Raider (2018) - Dumb But Fun
Eh, I'll probably still buy it on blu ray when it comes out. Re: Poll: What Do You Think About Remasters?
Re: LEGO The Incredibles All But Confirmed for PS4 Thanks to Toy Packaging
@KALofKRYPTON Dimensions is alright...it gets kind of old having to continue to get up from your chair constantly to move the figures around on the Portal, or put new ones together, and the story itself isn't that great...not saying it's a horrible game, but just lacking something that most of the other Lego games have.
Re: LEGO The Incredibles All But Confirmed for PS4 Thanks to Toy Packaging
Re: Iconic Store Toys 'R' Us to Shut Up Shop in UK
Re: Review: Frantics (PS4)
@Anchorsam_9 I'd still go for it! Been waiting for a new one in the series, and I'm really hoping they don't give up on it. With VR now, I'm waiting for a new Sports Champions, Eye Pet and even a new try on the Wonderbook games. Surprised they didn't try to give the Move games another go with VR.
Re: Soapbox: Don't Dismiss Bloodborne Because of Its Difficulty
I've had the game since it first released. The graphics and the gothic atmosphere is incredible. True that's it's difficult...I've died many times and even lost where I was, and true that I haven't played it for a year or so (too many other games came out that made me put it away), but it's definitely one that's worth to try...especially while it's a freebie right now!
Re: Review: Frantics (PS4)
Even though I'd still rather have a new BUZZ title (with the buzzers and not using phones), this does look pretty fun!
Re: Poll: How Strong Do You Think the PS4's Exclusive Lineup Is in 2018?
Re: Review: Moss (PS4)
@Paranoimia I get you there, and it would be nice to have them playable both ways...at least for some it would work out great. Carnival games on the VR could work both ways (granted it would have to use the move wands), and it would be a good way for Sony to actually sell more Move wands in the works too, considering that many people can't afford a $400 VR headset. I guess if they left the online store front for the VR-Only titles, it would be good, but there's some games that they offer a double-dip routine (Elder's Scrolls, Doom)...which these two could have just gotten the update for VR instead...so, yeah, I get what you're saying!
Re: Review: Moss (PS4)
@Paranoimia I agree with you, but, if there was no exclusive titles for the VR, then people would complain about that. It's nice to have exclusives for it, for the ones who bought it (like myself)...as I still wonder if it was worth the investment as there's only a few games I'll play on it. My only concern with it, is why there isn't more retail games for it...people see it on store shelves, with barely any games for it (like the Wii U), and they'll pass on it. This and some of the other ones that are on the store front, could have a retail release to at least give it promotion in stores.
Anyways, I think I lost track on what I was stating.
Re: Hands On: Apex Construct Is a Beautiful But Irritating PSVR Adventure
Re: Burnout Paradise Remastered Finally Confirmed, First Footage and Screenshots Revealed
This was great, but as I own it and all the DLC on PS3, I won't be paying a high price point for it right now...possibly when it goes into the bargain bin. Other than all of that, I'd rather wait for a new Burnout, as it's been quite a while.
Re: Feature: The Best and Worst Run Animations on PlayStation
I'll have to say that the animation in Infamous Second Son is pretty good too...at least the characters blink in more than 1 minute of no eye movement. Also, even though the game wasn't rated top, The Order has some really good animation in it too. Also, Ratchet And Clank Future on the PS3 was rated as great Pixar-style animation. If we're going into bad animation though, just look at the game on Dreamcast called CARRIER. The mouths continue to move and never go with the voices at all!
Re: Kingdom Hearts III Release Date Might Not Be Announced at E3 After All
Yup, just like I kind of figured, the game won't come out in 2018.
Re: Hands On: Kingdom Come: Deliverance Marries the Open World of Skyrim With... The Sims?
Re: Sony Officially Details PS4 Firmware Update 5.50
Re: Review: Mutant Football League (PS4)
I remember playing Mutant League Football and Mutant League Hockey on the Genesis...loved them because it was something different during that time, and still own the two games. Looking forward to picking this one up and reliving the good old days! Just will be waiting for the price to drop a little before I pick it up, or wait for a physical release (if it happens). Still waiting for the next Toe Jam And Earl title to appear or have a release date, and my backlog is too big at the moment on PS4...plus, I'll have Kirby to play on the Switch soon (finally, something to do on the system instead of watching it collect dust)
Re: Sony Officially Details PS4 Firmware Update 5.50
Re: PSVR's Best Game SUPERHOT VR Receives a Retail Release
I honestly think more VR games need to see retail space. If you go into the store and look at the VR, then only see a few games for it, most people won't bother to pay the money to buy it...especially older folks or parents that may not know what's available in the Playstation store (or sometimes don't even let their kids into the playstation store to buy). Just seems to be looking non-existence in the retail scene.
Re: Sony Officially Details PS4 Firmware Update 5.50
@Yowza Neither have I. I've been giving Microsoft money now to do it. It's a shame, because I watch on the PS3 more, and would love to complete some of the series I own, but without being able to download, it's a no-go. Hopefully they get the hint and let people download again, but until then, I skip the video store side anymore too, however, I do look to see what new movies came out and play some trailers, but skip purchasing on that side.
Re: Sony Officially Details PS4 Firmware Update 5.50
@jmbenetti I agree with the classics, but it doesn't seem like it's going to happen. Don't know why they stopped. I'd also like to see more PSP titles get the remastered treatment too, and they can even do that! Even if they added a way to play the PS2 and PS1 games onto the system, would be nice. Would be really nice if it became compatible with PS1, PS2 and PS3.
Re: Sony Officially Details PS4 Firmware Update 5.50
Re: Crash Bandicoot to Score a New Game in 2019
@Octane $2 each if you want the trophy you unlocked too.
Re: Crash Bandicoot to Score a New Game in 2019
Crash has been on other platforms for quite a while...Crash Bandicoot 4 on all three in the past, Crash Twinsanity, Crash of the Titans and Crash Mind Over Mutant. I'll agree that the original 3 and Bash and Tag Team need to be a playstation exclusive, considering he was their mascot for a while, but I'm fine with it coming on other platforms too...besides, it already helped sell PS4's...just weird how they'd skip the Xbox One.
Re: Virtual Reality Movement Peripheral 3dRudder Will be Announced for PlayStation VR
Re: Rumour: LEGO Incredibles 2 and DC Villains Seemingly on the Way
Wow...enough Lego games on the PS4 now!
Re: New Screenshots From Devil May Cry HD Collection on PS4 Aren't That Stylish
Eh, I'll still be purchasing it, since my PS3 was stolen with everything for it (including the 2TB internal hard drive on it). Now, when can Devil May Cry 4 HD be released retail?
I guess I'm still waiting for an Oddworld, twisted metal, hot shots golf (with tennis), ATV Offroad fury and some more collections to come too. Would be nice and would also be nice to get more PS2 games on the Playstation store too. Guess with all the retro games making a comeback, I can see some of this happening, but not holding my breath...maybe on the PS5 in the future.
Re: Poll: Is 2018 Looking Bright for PlayStation?
As I'm still trying to complete a large backlog of titles and purchase some of the ones I haven't got from this past year, I'm excited for God Of War, Detroit Become Human, Ni No Kuni 2 and Kingdom Hearts 3. I'd still love to see a Twisted Metal, Ape Escape, new Jak And Daxter, new Ratchet And Clank, Sly Cooper 5 and Loco Roco 3 be made...possibly even more PSP goodies. What would really be nice, is if they add an update to the system that allows PS3, PS2 and PS1 games to be played on it!
Re: Feature: 5 PS4 Firmware Update Features We Need in 2018
I'd honestly just like to have the TV Episodes and Movies bought on the Playstation store, to be played without having to stream (going back to the PS3's hey days of being able to download them onto the hard drive itself). Only other things, is being able to post photos by USB drive, home videos from USB drive all onto the main drive itself (again, like you can with the PS3). Only other thing, either letting us be able to play all PS1, PS2 and PS3 games onto the system, or adding more of a virtual console to it.
Re: Guide: All Free PS Plus Games in 2018
I agree with many...I clicked into this article thinking I'd be seeing all of the upcoming freebies for 2018! Nice bait!!!!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This... Christmas? - Issue 6
Re: Guide: Upcoming PSVR Games in 2018
Looking forward to some decent games on it. Still waiting to see some games that I think would be perfect for it...Little Big Planet, some sports titles like Golf, Volleyball...actually, Sports Champions return, Eye Pet. I always thought it would be nice to bring the Move games back into play for it!
Re: Sony: Wait Till You See What We Have in 2018
I'd settle with more PSP titles being brought over to the store as Remastered, and I'd definitely hope for a new Buzz game (with actual buzzers instead of phones) and for some reason, a new Little Big Planet. I'll also ask and hope for (but could be let down) for Hot Shots Tennis, Twisted Metal, ATV Offroad Fury, a new Jak And Daxter, a new Ratchet And Clank, a new Sly Cooper and some other goodies!
Re: Japanese Sales Charts: PS4 Sturdy, But Utterly Overshadowed by Switch
@Mahe I believe so...it's just that if you have one comment on there about the failure of the Wii U or anything about a game on Switch, they jump down your throat. Any game on Switch is fantastic to them, and all Sony and Microsoft has to offer is Call Of Duty...which is what I always end up reading. Apparently, most of them never owned another console and have no idea what's on PS4. To me, PS4 feels like the good old days of the NES, Genesis and Super NES eras...lots of games, lots of genres and almost all are great!
Re: Japanese Sales Charts: PS4 Sturdy, But Utterly Overshadowed by Switch
@starman292 I'm with you...I keep on looking at XBONE, but only see a few games for it, and it's basically the Rare Replay for the N64 classics and the few that Rare did for 360. Other than that, Cup Head was the only other game I saw, until I saw reviews that states it's a hard title (which means too much swearing and throwing the controller down for me).
Re: Japanese Sales Charts: PS4 Sturdy, But Utterly Overshadowed by Switch
Re: Review: Shooty Fruity (PS4)
There's many VR games that look really fun, but it's the price of most that keep me away. I'd like to purchase the Apollo Space one and the Everest one, but why does almost every VR title have to be in the $15-20 range or higher...many are not worth that price. I bought Eagle Flight at full price, only to be let down by it's 'not worth it' tag. Hopefully some better titles come out for it that are better worth it.
Re: Jet Set Radio Evo Pitched to SEGA, Sony Loved Concept
This would have been a nice addition...Sega needs to bring back their IP's...I'd love for a new Skies Of Arcadia, Evolution, Seaman (for the VR), Toe Jam And Earl, Golden Axe, Ristar, Columns, Altered Beast, Greendog and Panzer Dragoon title to make it's way forward. Maybe we'll at least get a Dreamcast, Genesis, and Game Gear collection...but I'm sure my hopes will fade away.
Re: November 2017 NPD: PS4 Dominates Hardware Sales with Best Ever Month, Call of Duty Is King
Good for Sony. If they keep this up, they can probably come very close or even surpass the Playstation 2's sales over it's lifetime! Does anyone know what the total units sold for either so far?
Re: November 2017 NPD: PS4 Dominates Hardware Sales with Best Ever Month, Call of Duty Is King
Re: Review: Ultimate Chicken Horse (PS4)
This looks pretty fun, may get it depending on price and what else comes out. WHAT THE HECK IS DUCK GAME? I haven't found it on the US store-side, unless I'm looking in the wrong area?
Re: Review: LocoRoco 2 Remastered (PS4)
@sinalefa Both are relatively the same, but part 2 just adds more to do! Both are great games and fun to play! If I were you, I'd start out with part 1 first! It would be like playing Little Big Planet 2 before the first!
Re: Review: LocoRoco 2 Remastered (PS4)
Re: PSX 2017: MediEvil Rises from Its Grave with a PS4 Remaster
@PS_Nation Forgot about that one...I also enjoyed Vexx, Dr. Muto and I Ninja too! The Kao The Kangaroo ones were enjoyable too! It's a shame we don't get many platforms anymore. Even most of the Dreamworks and Disney ones of the past were fun too. Madagascar and Aladdin were my favorites.
Re: PSX 2017: MediEvil Rises from Its Grave with a PS4 Remaster
@get2sammyb The Loco Roco and Patapon games looked pretty good in 4K! I'd honestly love to see some more PSP games come over to the PS4...thought it was happening on PS3 when the hot shots golf game was re-released for it
Re: PSX 2017: MediEvil Rises from Its Grave with a PS4 Remaster
Yes, I've been waiting for it! Now, let's bring Spyro, Croc, Gex, Ty The Tasmanian Tiger, Tak And The Power Of Juju and some other great platform trilogies too! Also, any news on a new Twisted Metal yet or an ATV Offroad Trilogy yet? Come on Sony!!!!!!
