Re: Video: Can Harvest Moon Still Promise a Wonderful Life on PS4?

JLPick

Stardew valley is a great game (mainly because it's like a newer Harvest Moon), and my wife and I are addicted to it's charm, but Harvest Moon A Wonderful Life was also a great title on the PS2 and Gamecube side (own it on Gamecube). I believe Story Of Seasons took away the Harvest Moon franchise, and I really hope a new Harvest Moon comes to the PS4 (I also hope for the Sims 4), but for the time being, this title is still great, but if you're new to the gaming scene, don't get this one unless it goes down in price. Other than that, it was a day one store title to buy and download right away...shame that I won't play until I get the 'Full House' trophy in Stardew Valley.

Re: Feature: The Promising PS4 Games of April 2017

JLPick

@joey302 Can't wait for the Disney afternoon, only because I haven't played Ducktales 2 and Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers 2 on the NES in my hey-day. And I couldn't believe Wonderboy only got 1% too, but if it makes you feel any better, the game I chose (puyo puyo tetris) only got 1% too.

Re: Feature: The Promising PS4 Games of April 2017

JLPick

There's a few on here that I'm looking forward to. Yookalayle for one, with Puyo Puyo Tetris in second. Also, Little Nightmares is keeping my interest...just out of curiosity though, I thought Birthdays The Beginning was to arrive next month? If not, when is the date, and when are we actually going to get a date for the launch of New Hot Shots Golf...haven't heard anything about it for quite some time!

Re: Hands On: Is Snake Pass Sssuper or Snake P*ss on PS4?

JLPick

As I was a sucker, and actually purchase the (what I would call, horrible and confusing game) Surgeon Simulator, and NintendoLife has put this game close to that with controls, I may give this one a (maybe wait for a flash sale). Other than that, with Loco Roco Remastered, Patapon Remastered, Parappa the Rapper Remastered and the various games coming on the retail side, and the ones that are out that I have yet to buy (Horizon, Nioh and Last Guardian), and my enormous backlog of titles to play...no time...especially with kids, work and my wife!!!!

Re: Talking Point: Which Free April 2017 PlayStation Plus Games Do You Want?

JLPick

I'd go for a great PS2 classic even, but other than that, as I own many of the first-party titles that are already out, I'll go for one that I don't own...even though I doubt it will get added...The Last Guardian. There, I've said it. Other than that, the only other one I could think of would be Gravity Rush HD, unless they go with a 3rd party title, in which case, let the games commence!!!

Re: Sonic Mania Says Goodbye Spring, Hello Summer

JLPick

At least we're finally getting some Sonic on the PS4!!! Now, how about an ultimate collection that features the Genesis, Game Gear and Dreamcast titles...maybe even throw in the PC editions too...a nice big Sonic collection!!!

Re: Sony Is Finally Killing Off the PS3 in Japan

JLPick

Well, my PS3 is still strong for my family...tons of movies downloaded (84 total), lots of tv episodes (too many to count) and a ton of game downloads from the store that's PS1, PS2, PS3 and indie (over 300 to count). Many trophies (which sadly, it takes forever to sync) and many retail games too (we gathered over 200 retail). Sad to see it end, but it's had its run! We still play Buzz on it once in a while (and of course Sing Star and Hot Shots Golf), and still own Wonderbook, Rock Band accessories, Move Accessories, the camera, DJ Hero Turntables and Guitar Hero Guitars...never going to get rid of it, but have started to dig into the retail games a little to get some stuff on PS4...other than that, it was a great system! Shame I traded in the original heavy model (it was pretty), but glad for the second model and definitely glad for the 2TB internal I installed into it. Underrated system that had amazing games, great NEW franchises and a ton of greatness!!! Plus...we had Kevin Butler do some commercials for us!!!

Re: Review: Clicker Heroes (PS4)

JLPick

My wife and I enjoy this...I also enjoy the other that Sammy likes too, but still...for my free game fit, Gems Of War is the better of all three!!! Don't mind the free games though, it's nice to have something free, and since this game is free, it shouldn't get bad reviews (If you don't like it, delete it...you didn't pay for it). The mayonnaise game should have been free.

Re: PSX 2016: PaRappa Joins WipEout in Sony IP Resurgence, Demo Out Now on PS4

JLPick

@Quintumply I agree...Loco Roco 1 and 2 were my faves on the PSP, and Patapon 1 and 2 was good too. I'm kind of hoping that they re-release more PSP titles, and also bring back some of their other IP's that were forgotten...even some that weren't theirs (Grandia 1, 2, 3, Xtreme, Medievil, Hot Shots Tennis, Klonoa, Wild Arms, Legend Of Dragoon, Folklore, the original Spyro's, Tomba, Croc, ATV Offroad Fury, Jet Moto, Cool Boarders and more).

Re: LocoRoco Remastered

JLPick

Can't wait for this title! This and the sequel was two of my favorites on the PSP!!! Hopefully we get the sequel too. Patapon and it's sequel are another I'll be waiting for! Since we're bringing back most of Sony's classic IP's, how about Medievil!!!!

Re: UK Sales Charts: Wildlands Scores the Largest Launch of the Year

JLPick

If the switch was available in stores, along with more games for it, then sales would have been a little different. Other than that, I'm glad that Horizon is doing really good...I want the game, just waiting until I play some of my backlog of games first, and I was also waiting for the External hard drive to arrive (which it did, so downloading everything took time). So many other games to play on the PS4, and still wanting Horizon and Last Guardian, then seeing Lego Worlds puts that on the 'want' list, and the upcoming Crash Trilogy coming...too many games, and I'm still waiting to see a release date set for New Hot Shots Golf in the US!!! If a new Buzz game is coming for PS4, then I'll be in heaven!!!

Re: Guide: How to Attach an External HDD to Your PS4

JLPick

I'd still like to know if anyone has tried to connect more than one external hard drive, and if it actually works. Just something that I was wondering. Other than that, I'm still waiting for an update where the movies and tv episodes you buy from the Playstation store, can be downloaded onto your system...especially if you go somewhere, have no internet service, and want to watch one of them.

Re: PS4 Firmware Update 4.50 Release Ruled Out

JLPick

@get2sammyb I found a Seagate 4TB External Hard Drive on amazon...questions about it were if it would work on the PS4...they replied that it would and it works on XBONE. I'm taking it that it would be okay, or is there a better company that I could get...this one costs $120 in the US, is there something better out there?

Re: Sony's Booked a Ridiculous Amount of E3 2017 Floor Space

JLPick

Hoping for a Hot Shots Golf release date!!!! Also, hoping to see when Loco Roco will hit the store!!!! Other than that, waiting to see what else is in store...both Sony and Nintendo!!! Seems like they will be the two biggest companies during the event, but I know nintendo also ends up holding their own events (seemed like nintendo didn't really care last year). Can't wait to see what the two power-house companies have planned!!!!

Re: Review: Berserk and the Band of the Hawk (PS4)

JLPick

@wiiware I've been waiting for Sega to do that...or at least a nice collection on disc format like Atari Activision did. I'd also like to see Toe Jam And Earl 3 re-released on PS4, as it was the only game I really played on the XBOX, and the Dreamcast games were the only reason I picked up an XBOX (since the remaining titles sega worked on came over to that system). Dreamcast graphics were incredible...they beat PS1 and N64 (where N64 strived more in color), and Dreamcast still looks good to this day, where PS1 looks too much sprite. PS2 didn't really hold up too well either (neither did Wii and that's not even that old). The only systems that I saw that really held up are Dreamcast and my favorite nintendo one...the Gamecube. But even Genesis held up pretty good throughout the years (so did Super NES). Guess it was the power, but I still love putting in the Web Browser disc on the Dreamcast and playing some Sega Swirl on it! People have been wanting the Dreamcast to come back, or a retro version of it, so hopefully Sega will listen and re-release their classic titles...they did with Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, but for some reason, I'd still like all of them to come back out...Samba De Amigo was still good on Wii, but imagine what they could do with the graphics nowadays with Seaman and even Ecco The Dolphin!!!

Re: Review: Berserk and the Band of the Hawk (PS4)

JLPick

@wiiware Dreamcast had a brilliant list of titles that were overlooked for years to come...granted I still own a few that were brought over to PS2 and Gamecube, but who could not have loved:

Ill bleed, Seaman, Skies Of Arcadia, Dragon Riders, Timestalkers, Tee Off, Speed Devils, Evolution 1 and 2, Sword Of Berserk, Omikron The Nomad Soul, Carrier, D-2, The Floigan Bros, Stupid Aliens and many more...dreamcast was an overlooked gem that should have stayed around for a longer time than what it did. A true gem that was overlooked, but it was Sega's fault.

Re: Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy Body Slams onto PS4 This Summer

JLPick

Sweet deal! Some classic fun platforming this summer!!! Let's hope to get a great Spyro Trilogy and the 2x spyro's on PS2 to get a remastered HD look too! I'd also love to see the Grandia series get a reboot and Collection too!!!! Wild Arms would be another great one!!! Oh, my list could go on!!!!

Re: Stolen PS4 Story At Least Has a Happy Ending

JLPick

Very nice for the ones who donated! Hopefully this still goes to Sony and they do something for them too! They can still easily catch the ones who stole it...as soon as it gets connected to the internet, they can track the system (as long as the hospital has the serial number of the original box). Other than that, that's a good story to hear, especially with all the theft going around this world anymore. Now, will they do something so they don't get stolen again like that, or will it end up happening again?

Re: Ubisoft to Release Fewer Games as Focus Shifts to Long-Term Support

JLPick

I'd actually like to see a new Rayman title, and for some reason (okay, I love playing them on Wii and want it on PS4) a Rabbids title that's not the Rabbids Invasion version...plus, they own the Hasbro games, make a decent collection like the ones of the past! Other than that, it's good that they'll give some of their franchises a rest, but make some new IP, instead of sequel after sequel...there's too many Assassin's Creed titles and Watch Dogs 2 could have waiting another year before released...seemed too early for it. Other than that, I'm sure Just Dance 2018 will be one of those 4 that are coming out...wahoo (sarcasm there, can't stand the games).

Re: PSN Is Having a Few Problems Again

JLPick

@KitsuneNight Seemed longer...guess that was because we used it as our Cable box-type system at the time (Netflix, Hulu and MLBTV). Really messed with everything though...I remember the trophies even getting messed up during it, but I'm also glad it woke Sony up to actually paying attention to the servers now.

Re: PSN Is Having a Few Problems Again

JLPick

Stinks for some people, but in all honesty, is it really a big issue? There's other things to do if it happens, and many other systems (including certain webs on PC's) go down every now and then...even wonderful X-box goes down a lot or has its problems. Not a big concern, it comes back on eventually...as long as we don't have another outtage like we did with the PS3 a long time ago...almost 2 months offline.

Re: Stuntman: Ignition Is Driving Dangerously to PS4

JLPick

Still have my PS3 copy...hard as nails, but great game! Even though I haven't played it in many years, I may pick it up on PS4...since the PS3's version doesn't have trophies, it would be nice to try to get a few trophies...and I actually mean a few!

Re: Feature: The Best Games on PS4 - Winter 2017 Edition

JLPick

Surprised Flower wasn't on here, since Journey was...kind of a little better...sill wondering about Drive Club, and with the price going down on it, may have to pick it up...just wondering how long the updates would take before I was able to play it. Glad the Last Guardian was on here...it's a pretty good game, but I'm still surprised that there is no love for No Man's Sky...it was and still is a fun little experience, granted it missed much of what they stated it would have...still a great experience though.

Re: Just What Is The Order: 1886 Dev's Deformers All About?

JLPick

This looks fun and something my wife and kids and I can play together...as for everyone putting down the Order...it wasn't that bad of a game...the graphics and animations were excellent, it was...as what many stated...too short and seemed like a rush job to get it ready for launch. If they would make a sequel, it could help it, but I doubt they will, but it still looks better than some of the other games that have come out on the PS4 later on...could be worse!

Re: PS4 Save Editor Will Let You Cheat Your Way to Victory This March

JLPick

I have Game Genie for NES, Genesis and Super NES and Game Shark and Action replay for most of the others. The only times I really ended up using them, was just to get further into the game, or have some fun with friends at the time (Ren And Stimpy was always fun, and having 'easy fatalities' on Mortal Kombat 2 was a blast to actually see them). Other than that, I really don't care for them anymore, call it being more of an older gamer, it makes it more fun to play it on your own. Getting trophies also adds more fun for me and more replay value to the games (Which is something that nintendo needs to consider, instead of listening to their hardcore fans who think that trophies/achievements ruin a game)...the trophies make it more fun for many people.

Other than that, I had something like this for game saves, and I remember that it took forever to figure it out and then it messed with the game so much, that it became useless, and the price of this one, wouldn't doubt me anymore. I'll just take to beating the games on my own!

Re: Next PS4 Firmware Update Finally Brings External Hard Drive Support

JLPick

@joey302 Just would be nice to do it for PS3. However, if they actually add an update for the PS4, to where your TV Episodes and Movies that are bought from the store, can be downloaded right to the HDD, that would be nice too. Especially, if you wanted to take the system elsewhere that doesn't have internet, so you can still watch them.

Re: Next PS4 Firmware Update Finally Brings External Hard Drive Support

JLPick

@joey302 It is nice. I have a lot of game downloads and retail games (127 downloads and 58 retail) so, I'm looking forward to getting an 8TB External. One thing that I wish they'd do is add this function for the PS3, where my catalogue is even more...2TB on that, and I'm still out of room, since the PS3 has a load of downloads, add ons, themes, retail games, tv episodes and movie downloads, and I add our pictures and music onto it too. Hopefully, the update happens for the US soon.

Re: Next PS4 Firmware Update Finally Brings External Hard Drive Support

JLPick

@get2sammyb With the external hard drive support, does that mean you can move your game downloads over to it and play them from there (while of course the external HD is still connected to the system), and also (if you bought a 2TB external hard drive) does that mean it adds the 2TB to your system itself? If so, please let me know. The External Hard drives are a lot cheaper than the internal, and if I can add a 2TB external with the 500GB Internal, that's a great feature!

Re: February PlayStation Plus Games Revealed

JLPick

Well, already own and beat Little Big Planet 3, so hopefully people can have more fun creating levels at least...something to do with it...other than that, I hope they make a part 4 eventually, because part 3 was really short on the story compared to the previous 2, but glad that they added a AAA game...still surprised they didn't add Knack yet, especially since they announced a sequel for it, unless they're waiting closer to the sequel's release date to do it. Still though, does anyone know when the Parappa the Rapper or Loco Roco remasters are coming...every time I look, it states 2017, but I'd love to play some Loco Roco on the PS4!!!!

Re: Retail Copies of Gravity Rush Remastered Are Now a Rarity

JLPick

Well that just sucks! Here I passed it up when I saw it in Gamestop for $35 new and had it in my amazon cart for quite a while waiting for tax returns (which I receive in a couple of weeks)...now, I'll go into my cart and look...last time I saw, it was still $35.

Re: PS4 Pro Is a 'Half-Assed Upgrade' Compared to Scorpio, Says Xbox Dev

JLPick

That's why I never and never will support Microsoft, it's because of their attitudes and un-professional acts. In the beginning with their magazine, all it was, was busting on nintendo and sony at all costs, never really talking about their own console, but just knit-picking on their rivals, which shows unprofessionalism. Nintendo doesn't bust on the others, Sony doesn't bust on the others...nintendo and sony still have a professional friendship and follow each other closely. Microsoft is just mad that the PS4 is kicking their butts, that's all...maybe Microsoft should just get out of the console wars altogether...not like they'd be missed.

Re: Talking Point: Should Sony Really Curate the PlayStation Store More?

JLPick

Sorry to say, that I've picked up games that were counted as bad from others, with bad graphics, but I or my family have enjoyed...one being the new Ghostbusters game that came out on PS4...rated horribly, but I have enjoyed it and so have my kids. I think Sony can put whatever they want on the store...let people decide on what they want to play. I'm 37, but there are kids that play the system and more...we don't just need M-rated titles and FPS's, it's good to have a variety, even if some aren't that great. The Tiger game does look pathetic...it looks like something that would have been known as shovel ware on the Wii, but is it something that still was not bought...nope, some people still bought it, and there are probably some people that actually enjoyed it (no, I did not buy it and I think it looks horrible, but if I saw it in a flash sale for a $1 or less, I'd pick it up). Let people decide...it's something that has hurt other companies when they knit pick like that.
