Never expected one of my favorite franchises to come back so I'm definitely preordering asap, I really hope they deliver on this so it can continue and we get more remasters and sequels. Dragon's Dogma 2 needs an expansion or something too, Capcom lol. Do some MHW crossovers for both.

I'd say it has a lot of potential, Sony might want to pick it up seeing they published Death Stranding for Kojima. Idk, might be a good investment for them, considering how things are going with RGG Studio lately, they'd have their own Yakuza like series.

Books are the only thing worth buying physically imo, nothing beats the feeling of one in your hands while reading. I also have no room for the amount of games I've bought over the years if they were physical copies lol

Fromsoft made the right call, bluepoint did good working with ports but were creatively very generic minded and took too many liberties with sotc and demons souls.

I don't think anyone is really eager to pay $900 for a performance boost when people like me have a ton of games backlogged already. I like PS5 a lot. The only gripes I have are the weak dualsense analog stick modules and there being separate trophy sets for PS5 upgraded games. Other than that, I see no real reason to upgrade unless PS6 launches with like Bloodborne 2 or something lol

I expect some changes since it's a remake and not a remaster, I saw a lot of people claiming they like over the shoulder more than the old style camera so idk. I have the originals so I'm good either way.

If he's so disappointed with how it's changed since 3, I wonder how much they'll change in the trilogy remake.

Glad Ghost Babel was included, hope they do a PSP game collection with Portable Ops and Acid 1+2 and maybe even a Rising Port someday, though that's platinum too not just konami.

Rented Yakuza 1 on ps2 back in the day but never finished it, after hearing they'd all come to ps4 many years later, I played 0 and was hooked. It's definitely one of my favorite series currently.

Idk how they'll make it playable with a controller but I'm down for it lol

I never understood why PS5 versions of PS4 games had separate trophy sets. That wasn't an issue for previous gens. Pretty weird and confusing.

I have mixed feelings about AI, but using it to fill in the artistic portions of your game doesn't sound very good lol

I guess I can understand why they'd do that, the original being bought by mistake by an uninformed buyer etc. But I don't like some of the added scenes lol They do spoil things, at least on Majima's side.

Uh, yeah, they should stop doing that. Nobody wants to buy the same game twice, even if it has added content. That's what DLC should be for. Lol

I'd play it again if they released an expansion like Dark Arisen. Despite its flaws, Dragon's Dogma and Dragon's Dogma 2 have the potential to be the greatest games of all time, I wish Capcom would put some more effort into it and throw some decent writers in, add way more enemy variety and things to do outside fighting/exploring.

If it was a jointly made system by sony and valve to run both steam and Playstation libraries, i could see the appeal, but there's no reason to switch if you have a million trophies and games on your account or if you already just play on pc lol. Idk who this is supposed to be for.

@viccior Does it include the story and content from the original? Because I can't find that info. Everything points to it being a sequel, not an expanded rerelease. Kinda confused lol

I never bought into the boycott crap. Just sounded like wishful thinking from people who wanted the game to fail because some woke people worked on it lol. All I care about is if it's a good game, and it looks good to me.

I think the general concensus is if remakes or remasters are done right(retaining the look and feel while adding some qol features and improving performance, or adding new content to expand the original's IF it's the original devs). That's great, changing the atmosphere and sound or feel of a game is risky and downright disrespectful imo if it's not the original devs. Looking at you, bluepoint. Those mocapped animations and art style changes are embarrassing in Demon's Souls.

Almost like they should just use voice actors instead of "real" ones. Og Tanimura was lame, guys lol. This guy also sounds like a dbag.

Better tech is a given at this point for better performance/visuals and backwards compatibility, but what I think Sony should focus on is keeping the UI simple and intuitive, I think it's pretty much perfect right now. Also curating the storefront and getting rid of the low effort AI plagiarized off of indie games slop.

Was gonna go back and 100% it on PS4 so if none of that save progress or trophies are transferable then no lol

Super 17 and og Dragon Ball characters are a given, maybe some henchmen characters from the movies (Bardock's crew, Bojack, Cooler etc.) and more stages. It really needs a ton more outfits and accessories from what I've seen, but that should honestly be free. Each character should have a few imo for this massive roster to shine.

Can't wait, Persona 4 Golden was the first game I got the platinum for on vita.

As someone who hasn't played any dragon quest games other than 8, 9, and 11, I'm looking forward to any remasters that come out. Not a big fan of arbitrary censorship or changes though, hopefully they aren't a big deal.

Love suda51's work, still hoping for killer7 and no more heroes 1+2 getting ported to ps5. This will scratch the over the top and highly stylized hack and slash itch for me.
