Looks fun especially Dante vs Vergil fight. But also feels kinda weird with Mundus and Arius shows up in the same time.

@AdamNovice I'm a long time DMC fans and i enjoyed the first season. I gave it a 7/10. It has flaws for sure but i think it's good enough if we look it as a stand alone show that isn't canon to the game.

Madhouse anime is a good alternative and it's canon (took place after DMC 1 and before DMC 2).

The first season was awful. And a turnaround this fast means that it was made concurrently with season 1, meaning they likely didn't have time to listen to feedback. So I expect this season to suck as well.

Gonna be honest, I forgot they even made a season 1. Then I remembered that it was apparently crap and wanted to forget it again. Thanks, article!

Season one SSSucked so count me out for this.

God that first season was wretched. I don’t get what the point of adapting something is if you’re going to fundamentally change massive parts of the story.

Cant wait for this. And ill never understand the hate this gets on social media. People act like devil may crys story was more than it actually is. All you need is cool characters, great action and cheesy one liners. And the first season delivered just that( plus fantastic animation)

People would be much better off just watching the cutscenes of 3,4, and 5 or better yet, playing them over watching that show. DISMAL

@Cry_Zero If you drop your standards that low then I guess? Problem with the DMC animation is that it changes and butchers original characters such as treating Dante like a massive push over who is somehow getting ***** on by Lady who's a potty mouth. Then you have the show trying to send it's incredibly out of place political message with demons being helpless refugees and America being evil invaders. Keep your needless political injections out of DMC.

I watch S1 recently and it was alright, quite entertaining for what it was, made well and I came away thinking I have been entertained.

The only problem is it's a pretty loose adaptation of the games from what I've experienced, it could have been any 'Demon Hunter' really rather then Dante but still it was OK and I'll give S2 a go.

I actually enjoyed season 1. Was it the best thing? Probably not. Could I enjoy it for what it was worth? Definitely.
Love me some DMC so more is always better. Wish they'd get to work on another game though!

@AdamNovice It was so bad for me I started watching at 23:00 and stopped watching when i was done in the morning wanting to see more.

I don't understand why people disliked it so much I had a blast watching it.

So many nerds here absolutely slating this like "In episode 2F09, when Itchy plays Scratchy's skeleton like a xylophone, he strikes the same rib twice in succession, yet he produces two clearly different tones. What are we to believe, that this is a magic xylophone, or something? I hope someone was fired for that blunder".

I'm shook to see people hate this... To be fair, I'm a DMC "normie", the only game I played was the Ninja Theory 2013 one so this show was something I extremely enjoyed.. The creator is definitely problematic though...

The first season was ok. They did the same thing ever my Hollywood studio is doing. Taking a male IP and trying to trade a female protagonist. So Dante only gets maybe half the screen time for the girl boss who isn’t a terrible character, but isn’t a strong one either. This looks like it might shift the focus back to Dante which is the only reason fans are actually showing up. Some of the writing looks to be just as corny as season one though. It’s still a fun show to watch. Just don’t expect it to feel like the games if you’re a massive fan of those.

@Futureshark the animation style definitely helps carry it because it is done extremely well. The soundtrack slaps too.

@nessisonett because the people adapting IPs aren’t creative or talented enough to write original content so they think if they just use a successful name and change everything about it that it will make them successful.

@Yousef- Give it a try. If it doesn't resonate with you after first 2 or 3 episodes give it a miss. I watched it all in a day and I thought it was alright!
You can't beat the games unfortunately but that's my own lofty standards
