Netflix has released a pretty kick-ass trailer for season 2 of Devil May Cry, its animated show based on Capcom's beloved action games.
Due to make its arrival on 12th May 2026, you can see some of what's in store for Dante in the trailer below:
"A war between worlds ignites as Dante confronts his own devils and must battle the only force that mirrors his own: his estranged twin brother, Vergil," reads the synopsis for the new season.
Last year saw the release of season 1, which released to generally positive reviews, and it looks like the follow-up will double down on fast-paced action and cheesy dialogue — emulating the games perfectly, then.
It looks pretty spot on to us, even down to the choice of music.
We're only a few weeks away from the launch of season 2 — are you planning on tuning in? Tell us in the comments section below.

SSSeems fun but I heard bad stuff about SSSeason 1 so I may skip.
I heard that the first season wasn't very good according to fans of the franchise.
Skiiip. Don't need to see one of my favorite franchises butchered by Adi Shankar
Looks fun especially Dante vs Vergil fight. But also feels kinda weird with Mundus and Arius shows up in the same time.
@AdamNovice I'm a long time DMC fans and i enjoyed the first season. I gave it a 7/10. It has flaws for sure but i think it's good enough if we look it as a stand alone show that isn't canon to the game.
Madhouse anime is a good alternative and it's canon (took place after DMC 1 and before DMC 2).
The first season was awful. And a turnaround this fast means that it was made concurrently with season 1, meaning they likely didn't have time to listen to feedback. So I expect this season to suck as well.
Gonna be honest, I forgot they even made a season 1. Then I remembered that it was apparently crap and wanted to forget it again. Thanks, article!
@Yousef- It's fine. A solid way to pass a boring weekend is how I saw it.
cant wait to see how adi shankar ***** it up
