The controller that came with the system had issues with the left analog stick 15 days after the warranty expired. Bought a black one that was creaky as hell. Returned it for a white one that has been fine...for now.
I'm hoping the Edge will be worth it at least longevity wise
This could be great. The director definitely knows how to use a small budget to make something great. And there are multiple examples of small budget foreign language movies with an all Asian cast that have been wildly successful both critically and financially.
I lived with a friend like 10 years ago that had a orange cat, named Toodies. Anytime I was home and at my computer, Tood would saunter in, and nudge my elbow with his face to let him on my lap. He'd do that until I let him up, giving half meows past the 5min mark. Was super cute, and Tood ruled.
I also had a cat when I was a kid. Maybe once a week it would come chill with me. Then after a few minutes it would scratch me and run away. That cat sucked, and was the devil.
I definitely will play this game, and maybe if I can find a Toodies, I'll get a cat.
If I'm still enjoying it after a month of it being out, I might toss them $10. There aren't many f2p games that I've played for more than a month besides Warframe though, and I've only given them $40 (it should be $80 because I freaking love that game).
I've stuck to essential because my backlog is more than I can handle. I just finally finished Mass Effect 3 yesterday, after playing through 1&2 again. I have the end of DQXI to finish, Metal Gear V at 30%, Tsushima, Control, FFVII Remake, and I'm waiting for The Witcher 3 PS5 update to play for the first time. Extra is more than I personally, obviously lol
I still have the VII remake part 1 to play, which I've been really looking forward to getting to. I may even just wait until all 3 are out, in like 25 or 26, to start. XVI looks pretty wild too
@CWill97 In the article, it says, "It doesn't have the scale of Odyssey's gigantic map, but it feels far tighter in how it's been pieced together ā handcrafted, rather than copy and pasted". I've read similar things about Origins on other sites about the game, so it appears it's less "pointlessly large" like Odyssey and Valhalla, which I also dislike about open world games
I think I'm excited to play this game someday after reading this article. But I personally don't find the setting anywhere as interesting as the two newer games in the series, and I haven't played those either. Maybe open world games are just too similar and repetitive for my taste
Not related to the covers, but I had got a Midnight Black controller a couple of months ago and returned it because it was extremely creaky compared to the original white one. From the triggers to the face buttons, pressing them would sound like I was twisting the whole thing.
Has anyone with a new color controller noticed that? Maybe I just got a bad one.
The only time I've used and installed Twitter on my phone was to follow PS5 stock alert accounts. Did that for a week, and now I've had my PS5 for over a year now.
Glad to hear more ppl are able to get one. I hope it gets easier to get one asap!
I know it's coming at some point, but I really just want The Witcher 3 to be at 60fps. I still haven't played it yet, and I've been dying to. Having a hard time not starting it, I've had it installed on the PS5 for months now š
I'd rather watch the story with it's amazing visuals than play through doing the same thing hundreds of times over, so this has a shot at being pretty good imo
I've been planning my FIRST playthrough of the game for a while lol. I bought the complete edition, and have it installed on my PS5. My backlog is giant after skipping the last gen, but The Witcher 3 with the PS5 update was/is at the top of my list. I'm really just waiting for 60fps š„ŗ
@InvaderJim I agree. I got to a little past the 1st third of the island when I bought the game a year ago, and haven't played it again since. The repitition had me saying, "Is this really it?"
@jgrangervikings1 I don't know if you've played Hades, but if you haven't, it's worth the $20 just for the story. It's the first game in a long, long time that made me care about what happens next
Just bought a physical copy of Hades today for the PS5 for $20 that I can't wait to arrive, even though I have it on the PC already. Definitely a top ten of all time in my book.
@Jeanhenry I didn't preorder the PS5, and I didn't buy it just to play one game. But, you know, take what I said and turn it into whatever you'd like lol
Gran Turismo 7 was a huge selling point for the PS5 for me. I've had my PS5 for a year waiting for it. But I don't pre-order any game because I'm 34 and know better.
Seeing the nonsense going on with it, I will never buy it. And unless Kojima makes another Metal Gear, I'll only buy Nintendo systems.
I can't wait to sink my teeth into this. I'm continuing my first playthrough of DQXI now after I finished God of War, and I love DQXI so much that I don't want it to end. Then I have to finish Ghost of Tsushima, and Metal Gear 5, Control for the 1st time, and the Witcher 3 when the PS5 patch comes out for the 1st time.
It might be 2023 before I can get to GT7, or Elden Ring, and that rocks š
I hate this. I know what Game Pass will lead to and I want nothing to do with it. Think NBA 2k when it would come out for well below the regular price of a new game, and the disgusting mess that it is now. No thank you.
I just started Zero Dawn for the first time about a week ago and I think it's amazing. My one gripe is the camera drifting from behind the right shoulder to the left. It's fairly annoying and I hope that doesn't happen in FW.
My backlog far too big to justify buying it now. Just started Horizon Zero Dawn for the first time and love it, nearing the end of DQ11, then I have the FF7 Remake, then the Witcher 3 when the PS5 patch come out, then Control, and I have to get GT7 and Forbidden West too. So many games, too little time š
I'm playing Horizon Zero Dawn for the first time and I'm extremely impressed. I started it yesterday and I know that I'll buy the sequel as soon as I've finished it.
I'm about to start Horizon Zero Dawn for the first time today and if I dig it I'll be looking at getting the sequel.
GT7 is almost for sure a day 1 purchase.
I'm worried that Sifu won't have much depth as there hasn't been many details beyond the combat, some levels, and how dying works. With it coming out in 10 days, I'm not thinking it will be very good, but I hope that I'm wrong.
I'm really hoping it will be great because it looks like a blast. The previews I've read haven't been able to say much beyond the combat, environments, and aging. I'd like to know what other systems are going on, or if that's pretty much it. Either way, Push Square helped me find the right SSD and I hope this game will be good enough to put on it š
Looks really good, but I'll wait until reviews are out before I purchase. Been over a decade since I've pre-ordered a game which has let me skip some real stinkers that were hyped up.
I started God of War for the first time on the PS5. I thought the kid would be annoying, but he's not. Amazing story so far. Definitely will be getting Ragnarok.
I really hope Sony doesn't copy Gamepass. I agree with Ryan about it not being sustainable which means at some point in the future the other shoe is going to drop, and that will suck for gamers.
My biggest worry about Gamepass is the impact it will have for the future of games. I think about a game like NBA 2K and how it used to come out for $40 with no micro transactions, and where it is today. I'm glad that PlayStation isn't going to release new games on a subscription model because, as Jim Ryan said, "We just don't see that as sustainableā. At some point, either the quality of games with suffer and be filled with mtx, or the subscription cost will skyrocket. So I would be happy with PlayStation just combining Plus and Now.
