Here we go, then. February is here. The month that every game publisher decided was the appropriate position for their hot new release. The result is an exceedingly busy few weeks, and even looking further and into March, this period is pretty ridiculous. That's one way of looking at it โ the other way is that PlayStation fans have lots to look forward to, no matter what your tastes. Let's waste no more time, as there's plenty to get through.

Horizon Forbidden West - 18th February
Aloy's adventures continue in this sequel to Horizon Zero Dawn, and it's looking like a spectacular sequel so far. Journeying west in search of answers about new impending threats, our heroine will be going up against all-new Machines as well as dangerous tribes. With refreshed combat and traversal, and a whole new open world to explore, we can't see this being anything less than fantastic.
Elden Ring - 25th February
Easily one of the most hotly anticipated games of the year is Elden Ring, the new action RPG from FromSoftware. In a nutshell, this game takes the challenging formula we all know and love from games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne, and puts it in a big open world. With a steed by your side as you explore the map, this game promises to bring you the cutthroat action you've come to expect as well as immersing you in a gorgeous new setting. Challenge accepted.
Gran Turismo 7 - 4th March
Polyphony Digital took a slight detour with Gran Turismo Sport, which took the emphasis off of the "CarPG" experience fans adore. Roll on Gran Turismo 7, then, which looks to be a full return to form. The real driving simulator returns on PS5 and PS4 very soon, bringing with it a huge suite of vehicles, tracks, and events to enjoy. Of course, this will be a visual tour-de-force too, so if you're looking for a game to show off your brand new PS5 with, this is likely to be top of the list. Fasten your seatbelts, petrolheads.
Tiny Tina's Wonderlands - 25th March
Do you like Borderlands? Do you also like role-playing games like Dungeons & Dragons? Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is smashing those two disparate worlds together in this colourful first-person shooter. Playing alone or in co-op, you'll hunt for loot amid fantasy-themed worlds, using both guns and magic to slay your foes. This ought to be a good time with a few friends, and the magical twist should set it apart from the other games in the series.

Expensive monthโฆ but thatโs no bad thing.
There's going to be a lot of pissed off boyfriends and girlfriends having 'romantic' takeaways this year ๐
I'm still undecided when it comes to Dying Light 2. I do love what I'm seeing, and a choice-based narrative will always be a major plus to me.
HOWEVER, I found the original quite derivative and bland. If they manage to have meaningful characters this time around, I might snatch a copy.
YouTubers Life 2. Nothing else matters.
Where's the doom and gloom? I thought PS was dead /s
@Divergent95 simple. don't buy at launch and see what it's like. There's not going to be a shortage.
@Divergent95 found the original Dying Light fun to play co-op. Not sure if I remember much of the story itself. Think the review embargoโs lift on Tuesday?
@riceNpea Yup! I'm in no rush, but I'll keep a close eye on it
@Capt_T Me neither lmao! Truly subpar writing lol. But I do remember a young guy turning and Crane killing him.
I hope so, P.S and ACG will help me make a decision periodt.
Horizon: Forbidden West and Gran Turismo 7 are essential PlayStation titles.
Iโll probably pick up Elden Ring shortly after release as well, after Iโm done with Forbidden West.
@Divergent95 will hop into it but I'd like a Dead Island reboot to be their next game. Hang up the parkour and factions aspect, take it back to the tropical resort zombie flesh eaters style miss that stuff
January - Pokemon Legends: Arceus
February - Horizon Forbidden West
March: Kirby and the Forgotten Land
Really solid start to 2022.
Elden Ring and Sifu are ones I have my eye on, but I'll be waiting for price drops. My backlog is already big enough as is.
February and March's releases will see me through most of the year, anything else will be a bonus
I'm about to start Horizon Zero Dawn for the first time today and if I dig it I'll be looking at getting the sequel.
GT7 is almost for sure a day 1 purchase.
I'm worried that Sifu won't have much depth as there hasn't been many details beyond the combat, some levels, and how dying works. With it coming out in 10 days, I'm not thinking it will be very good, but I hope that I'm wrong.
Nothing has me excited enough to pay full price. Not even the Uncharted remaster did. sigh
Waiting for Horizon 2 to drop in price so I have quite a bit of time to replay games.
Still havenโt finished the first Horizon. Might be blasphemy around these parts but I just havenโt been able to get into it. Elden Ring is highest on my list from these.
The year of PlayStation!!!! โฆagain!!! โฆ. Sorry to the so called competitors you just donโt have the first party games to match up. Long live King Sony and the global PlayStation empire l!!!
Why isnt Dying Light 2 in the first, detailed, part of the list????
Plus its a ยฃ10 cheaper to pre order on Base dot com!
Push Square needs to hire people just to get everything reviewed in the next few months. Sheesh what a lineup. Even beyond the big three games, there are some super interesting games that I will be checking reviews on.
As a driving game fan, GT7, Grid Legends, Truck Driver PS5, are all on my radar.
Elden Ringโฆwhat a weird name for a game.
โWhat do you want to play?
That old ring game.
โYou mean Lord of the Rings?
No.
Wait, โeldenโ means โfireโ in Norwegian? Ahhh. Ok.
โWhat do you want to play?
That fiery ring game.
โYou mean Lord of the Rings?
No.
**mind blown**
Youtubers Life 2
Ryan's Rescue Squad
Isn't Tiny Tina's Wonderland out on the 25th? Not the 18th?
My February/March looks like Horizon, GT7, Stranger of Paradise & Weird West ๐ what a couple of months that is ๐คค
Forbidden West, Elden Ring, Strangers of Paradise, Monark...pricy months ahead
Horizon and Stranger of Paradise are already preordered. Iโm interested in Dying Light 2, but I need to see how the game reviews. They went and made an awful PR stunt about the gameโs length that really made me concerned. I donโt want to get another game in the vein of Far Cry 6, plain and simple. Then thereโs GT7, which Iโm sort of intrigued by, mostly because of its use of haptic feedback. Could be a novel experience with that.
Needs more Destiny 2 The Witch Queen! February 22nd
Incredible month. Dying Light 2 and Horizon Forbidden West day one for me. Considering Elden Ring as its on offer pre order. Also Sifu but need to see reviews first
That's quite a lot of games I haven't even heard of, despite frequenting a fair number of gaming sites weekly.
As expected I guess, as articles on fairly unknown games might not bring the most clicks, but also a bit sad for those hidden gems out there.
Eh, I'll skip everything but Horizon. Nothing there appeals. Gran Turismo would have been of interest, but that it is essentially going to be a PS4 game except in the replays doesn't inspire me to drop PS5 game money on it. Yes, graphics matter to me.
Horizon, GT7, and Tiny Tina should carry me through April at least. Great couple months for us!!
@ApostateMage And Among Us' collector edition
@Anti-Matter Can't wait for these big AAA releases!
@JosephTheSheik
I played completely different games, unlike majority users here.
I voted Youtubers Life 2 and Ryan's Rescue Squad since I like cartoonish games.
Don't even care with big AAA games.
I think Elden Ring and GT7 is a great combo for months of awesomeness but then again itโs a great time for all PlayStation gamers.
๐๐๐
Who needs a sub ? ๐ haha
@SystemAddict Well Deep Silver owns the IP and Dead Island 2 is still in development hell so they can't exactly do that.
@Nepp67 Thatโs right so read that. I donโt hold much hope for it.
Guys! And gals! I was checking the special edition of GT7 (PS5) on Amazon and it says that the hard copy of the game contains (among other things) voucher for PS4. Does that mean that it's a voucher for downloading the game on PS4? Does anyone know?
@Pandam itโs a ps4 game so no
Don't forget Crusader Kings 3 on 29th March!
I only plan on buying Horizon: Forbidden West and Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin day one. I shall wait on sales for the other games.
@Quintumply Please correct Tiny Tina Wonderland's release date, as @Left has pointed out it's releasing on March 25th, not March 18th.
