Ambitious Chinese outfit Eclipse Glow Games will allow fans to go hands on with uber promising action game Tides of Annihilation later this year, with more details to be announced in due course.

The confirmation comes as part of a behind-the-scenes video, where the studio has moved to allay fears about the Arthurian outing’s technical performance.

In the three-minute clip, producer Kun Fu confirms deep alliances with a variety of partners, including Epic, NVidia, and Tencent. It talks a little bit more about how it’s optimising some of the title’s most spectacular set-pieces.

While there’s no official release date yet, I’m not expecting this until at least 2027. But according to the video, the dev will be inviting fans to try out the title all around the world, and it’ll have more to share later this year.

I find this game’s distinctive Chinese art style and unique interpretation of British mythology fascinating, so personally I can’t wait to get my hands on it soon.

Hopefully I’ll have an opportunity to tell you all how it feels to play in the not-too distant future.
