From Legend of Zelda, to Zelda 2: Adventures of Link.
From Castlevania Rondo of Blood, to Symphony of the Night.

Re: PS6 to 'Push the Boundaries' of Graphics, Doubles Down on Machine Learning

Exerion76

So just more upgrades to the AI upscaler then?
We really are getting diminishing returns now.

We'll never gonna see huge leaps in graphics, like between older generations again, no matter how much the companies brags about the "next gen revolution".

Same with new GPU:s, were the leap in performance, among the high end cards, becomes less every generation now, with more focus on AI upscaling and framegen.

The last truly mindblowing upgrade, for me, was when we went from PS2/Xbox to PS3/360 generation.

And that's why my excitement for PS6, is pretty much zero, because it will just be more of the same, just a little bit prettier.

Re: Sony Hasn't Given Up on Adding More PS3 Games to PS Plus Yet

Exerion76

Just give us emulated PS3 games already.
PS3 isn't hard to emulate anymore, and it's great being able to unlock the framerates and play them rendered at higher resolutions.
Playing Resistance and Killzone 2 emulated on PC, at 1440p and 60fps, is fantastic. Feels like remasters.
The PS5 are strong enough. So what are they waiting for?

Re: Talking Point: Is It Officially Game Over for PSVR2?

Exerion76

Still today, Half Life: Alyx and Stormlands on PC, and Astrobot on PSVR1, is the best experiences I've had in VR. Sadly those AAA days of VR seems to be dead and gone now.
I had some hopes about Horizon on PSVR2, but it mostly felt like a tech demo, and hated being locked inside a circle, everytime you got into combat.

I may play VR for a week or two, 2-3 times a year, but that's about it.
The novelty and wow factor, is long gone, as you quickly notice the clunky controls and poor gameplay, in 95 % of the VR game out there.

But I will never forget the experience, when I got my HTC Vive, back in 2016. That wow factor, was on the same level, as when I discovered videogames, as a kid, during the Atari2600 era.

Re: Death Stranding 2 Feedback Was 'Too Good', So Hideo Kojima Made Big Changes

So he doesn't want it to be mainstream, yet he used Hollywood actors, uses a expensive AAA budget, and releases it on a mainstream console?

So why didn't he make a indie game, and release it on Evercade instead?

Can't stand this guy. I enjoyed his early games, but things started to crash and burn (for ME) after MGS3.
Or maybe I just got older, and can't handle his weird and forced humor/craziness anymore?

Imagine this guy, and Tarantino, in the same room. So much ego, that time and space implodes.

Re: Final Fantasy 16 May Have Underperformed on PS5, But It's Doing Terribly on Xbox

Exerion76

Final Fantasy is not what it used to be.
I enjoyed 16, but I can understand why most didn't. The excessive button mashing, did get boring at times. Especially during some bossbattles that went on forever.

FF7 Rebirth, was extremely boring and padded.
Another disappointment, which didn't help the franchise one bit.

They need to return to proper turn-based gameplay again.

Re: The Witcher 4 Being Built for PS5 First and Foremost, Will Target 60fps

Exerion76

Yeah...we'll see about that.
Always take these comments from the devs, with a pinch of salt.
This won't be ready until around the launch of the PS6. So I'm expecting another crossgen game, where the game can barely run on the base PS5, work okey on the Pro, but not really shine, until playing on the PS6 and PC

After all these promises from AAA devs through the years, and all the downgrades, you would think that people would be less gullible today. Guess not πŸ˜‚
