We still can't quite believe that Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter is real. This ground-up 3D remake of Falcom's classic RPG releases on PS5 in just over a month, and its new trailer has pretty much floored us.
We're not saying that this video is some kind of masterpiece — it's really just a recap of the game's characters and central themes — but it's just mad to see the cast re-realised in all of their glory, acting out fully animated cutscenes. For hardcore Trails fans, it's honestly like a dream come true.

Of course, it also helps that this remake is a clear step ahead of the developer's previous games in terms of visuals.
Falcom will be hoping that 1st Chapter acts as both a gateway for new players and a joyous trip down nostalgia lane for those already invested in the series. Remakes can often be tricky things to get right, but based on what we've seen of this one so far, the team's onto a winner.
