Re: Days Gone Patch 1.05 Improves Performance and Squashes Bugs

Dubya75

Within the first hour of playing (1.04), I have experienced a myriad of bugs. I am confused how they even managed to release a game in this state. Was it not play-tested at all? And after a 7 year development cycle, we should not end up with a turd like this. No. I am shelving the game for a couple of months until they actually finish the game so I can play it.

Re: ANTHEM Player Survey Reveals Some Troubling Statistics

Dubya75

"BioWare's looter shooter failed to find any kind of momentum post-launch, partly because it was hit with a recurring barrage of bad press."
REALLY?! That is an absolute misrepresentation of the situation. The game failed to find momentum because it is GARBAGE. No other reason.

Re: God of War PS4 Director Says Accessibility Will Never Compromise His Vision

Dubya75

To be perfectly blunt, what percentage of gamers need "accessibility"? A very very small percentage.
Gaming is a business, not a charity. The gaming market is aimed at people able to use their 5 senses and their hands to a reasonable standard.
Imagine if any mainstream business suddenly start focusing on making their products "accessible" to disabled people above all else. They will very quickly go out of business.

Re: Cyberpunk 2077 and Another AAA RPG Still Set to Release Before 2021, Says CD Projekt Red

Dubya75

Yeah, I'm a little suspicious about this. Knowing that they have put all their energy and resources into developing Cyberpunk 2077, which by their own admittance, is a very ambitious project, what would they have left for a second AAA game? No...I think we are all going to get disappointed by this other AAA game. Probably something like Gwent 2 or Thronebreaker 2, or some other poor top-down old-school game. Definitely NOT a Witcher game.
If I end up being proven wrong, I will eat my boot. But I'm usually not wrong about these things...

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice PS4 File Size Might Surprise You

Dubya75

Data storage is cheap as chips, so I don't consider it an issue. And why would you want to have a million different games installed at the same time anyway?
I don wonder about SEKIRO's small data size. Makes me wonder, where is the compromise? And how will it show up in the game?

Re: ANTHEM Launch 'Rougher' Than BioWare Expected, Says 'the Best Is Yet to Come'

Dubya75

@Octane Yeah, imagine if CDPR said "OK, we are going to try something a bit different and create an open-world Witcher game. But this is our first crack at it so we'll see how it goes". Hell no! They got to work (not whining about how difficult it is to develop games) and created one of the BEST open-world RPGs the industry has ever seen. With a very limited budget and only about 200 people on their team.
What BioWare has done here is just absolutely pathetic. They should not be given a free pass just because they "tried something different."
Again, CDPR is "trying something different" making Cyberpunk 2077 and already we can see that the game will be nothing short of a masterpiece.
So BioWare....what is your excuse for being so incredibly mediocre?

Re: Poll: What Did You Think of the ANTHEM Public Demo?

Dubya75

EA and Bioware was really kind to put out a demo for this game. Now I can NOT buy it with absolute confidence.
Dear oh dear....where to start with this...
Booted up the game for the first time to try out the demo and after 5 minutes, hard PC crash.
Eventually got my head around the incredibly convoluted menus and started my first expedition after completely giving up trying to figure out how to do free roaming. Also seems impossible to go solo as Bioware promised would be possible. Instead you are matched with other players. Always.
Gameplay mechanics in general are nice. There is a weighty feel to your javelin.
Combat is just passable. Worse than Andromeda though.
The hub World is an absolute joke. Not only is it filled with the classic Bioware-style NPCs of old, standing in one place all the time pretending to be talking with idiotic looking animations, the place is just so lifeless. There is this stupid ambient background noise of a bustling city space, but no NPCs actually have ambient dialogue among themselves.
Dialogue, when it happens, is complete GARBAGE. Poor writing to say the very least.
And in first person perspective. Why???
Getting back into the actual gameplay, for some unknown reason I am greeted with load screens at random times that transport me to different areas. What the actual f*ck.
An incredibly BADLY put together game. Absolutely TERRIBLE.
It was an utterly frustrating experience and I will absolutely not buy this game. Not ever!
Bioware has forgotten how to make games, that much is clear to me now.

Re: God of War PS4 Director Says Plan for DLC Was 'Too Ambitious'

Dubya75

The amount of bull*** commentary coming from Cory Barlog lately is surprising.
Around the time of GoW's release, he said they never planned any DLC because they always wanted to deliver a complete game from day 1. Now he claims he did have DLC in mind... And stating it was too ambitious after the massively successful launch, is absolute rubbish. Sony would definitely give the go-ahead for an expansion because everyone would buy it.

Language, please! - Quintumply

Re: Spider-Man PS4 Dev Pushes Back Against Fan Criticisms Regarding DLC

Dubya75

This is in my opinion, an absolutely ridiculous answer from Insomniac. Isn't the existence of the game itself an answer to the demand for it? So if a certain popular suit is in such high demand, why are they not including it? To me it seems like they are just being spiteful and childish to not include the most asked-for suit of all. Their answer for not including it is no answer at all.
