Re: 'Whatever We Say, People Won't Believe Us': Crimson Desert Dev Promises Full PS5 Tech Breakdown for Launch

DanteDevilHunter

I wonder why there is so much suspicion? It's not like they have misleading marketing to sell there game's day one, only to have to wait for the inevitable patches. Obviously not all developers do this and it's now a hell of a lot better than the PS3 generation. Where PC footage was passed off as PS3/Xbox gameplay footage. I think they forget they are actually selling a product, so when there is only PC footage being shown and the odd reason not to show the console version's that naturally will cause suspicion. As companies who are confidentin in there product don't hide said product and show gameplay well before release.

Re: Review in Progress: Marathon (PS5) - Bungie's Extraction Shooter Is Brilliant, and It Only Gets Better

DanteDevilHunter

It's definitely a good extraction shooter with more depth than other extraction shooters on the market. The only extraction shooters I've liked and in my opinion standout are Hunt Showdown 1896, Arc Raiders and obviously now Marathon. Hunt Showdown 1896 like Marathon has a dangerous world and in both games sound matters, birds that fly off if you get too close will give your location away. There is a attachment that when stabbing AI or players it'll poison them incredibly useful when fighting the AI, I've found the blue version of it now (less noise the better). I play a lot solo while the Assassin Shell is very good, a good counter to him is the Recon Shell, I do need to try the other shells. The art style has grown on me also. The only thing they could of done a better job on is the trophies. I am really liking Marathon.

Re: Hands On: Marathon Is Dense, Demanding, and Drop Dead Gorgeous

DanteDevilHunter

While I like Marathon it's a team based game, playing with randoms is hit or miss. Marathon is best played with two other friends over randoms. Solo play forget it stick with Hunt Showdown or Arc Raiders much better games for solo's in terms of the game will not handicap you to a Rook aka free load out with limited items ammo, shields and health and stick you into games that are almost finished.. Edit the assassin shell tis good solo and Thief but like I've pointed out solo is an after thought. Turn off queuing with other players to properly play as a solo. Rook is just a looting handicap shell in my opinion. PvP it's slow you will come across players. Ai are no joke. But the full game is going to be different when you get better grade shields for example, fractions unlocks etc. I liked the beginning cutscenes smart lore so far.

Re: 140K+ Players Slam Marathon Servers in Pre-Launch Test, and That's Just on PC

DanteDevilHunter

I've played Hunt Showdown got the platinum I used to play solo Vs trio's. Once you get used to these types of game's it's not hard to wipe out trio's or duo's as a solo. Obviously I play Arc Raiders I was playing solo but since they've added solo Vs trio's I've played a lot of that too. While I do like Marathon it was never designed for solo's it's only there to say you can play solo's PR marketing. I've played mainly as Rook. Rook is for solo's ONLY meaning you cannot pick Rook if you are in trios or you cannot pick any other runner if you want to play solo there is only Rook. When playing as Rook you essentially get a free load out you can NEVER customise your load out, meaning the trios have an advantage from the get go. They can take in better gun's more ammo, more shields and health etc and can do quests with Rook you cannot do quests solo. Don't get me wrong I've had quite a few excellent games with Rook taking out a lot of loot & getting quite a lot of kills. I can see Rook being unpopular with solo players from Arc Raiders for example as you are essentially being handicapped for playing solo and can only ever play as Rook when playing solo. If you have friends to play with and you like these types of games you might like Marathon. But from a solo player point of view like I said Marathon never was designed with solo players in mind.

Re: 'One of the Worst Decisions Ever Made': God of War Creator Tears 'Total Crap' 2D Title Apart

DanteDevilHunter

The guy is an idiot who only plays games when being payed. Metroid Dread had an obvious breakable wall any person who actually plays games will not twice about. Because he got stuck on that part like people who don't really play games, the game was crap and had horrible game design. I remember one of Sony's state of plays people where taking the mick out of a game, like a high school game with weird animal like characters volcano high or something like that. He went mad people worked hard on the game, I know some of the people who worked on the game etc. Yet here we are with Sons of Sparta.

Re: Judas PS5 Dev Spent 5 Years Perfecting Its Core Mechanic

DanteDevilHunter

I love Bioshock. I remember when it first came out on Xbox360 getting 10/10, then having to wait for it too release a year later on PS3. Amazing game. It's well known Ken Levine is a perfectionist. I cannot wait for this game, but release it when Ken believes it's ready.

Still no word on Bioshock 4, obviously being made by another development team. Hopefully it still cames out too.

Re: Sony, Xbox, Nintendo Publish Shared Statement on Player Safety in Games

DanteDevilHunter

It's amazing to me that "parents" need the government, companies or organisations to basically parent there children for them. I'll give my children basically a computer in their pocket and hope for the best instead of restricting their online access & monitor what they are doing online. If anything happens to my child I'll campaign the government & these companies and blame it on them for (get this) not prioritizing my child safety. What these companies should do is lobby the government under child safety to bring into law a online ban for children. There is a real world case where the parents neglected there duties to there child and he has ended up dead. Like any good mother she blames the online platform and not herself for not parenting her child. So no some parents believe parenting is not a full time responsibility and can be outsourced to companies and government, that's why online age restrictions are needed for online access. They already have age restricted games. Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo takes your child safety very seriously (not like it's there responsibility) that's why games like COD an age restricted game market's their skins to your child, with children playing and screaming down mics while playing an age restricted game. But they have excellent online tools for actually parents.

Re: Xbox Sales Hit New Low in UK, Barely Competes with PS5 at This Point

DanteDevilHunter

I cannot believe Microsoft basically stopped making first party games for Xbox One and concentrated sololy on backwards capability. A massive mistake to make when they should have kepted making first party games. The 2nd biggest mistake and the crazy one is killed off their exclusive game's an nsane thing to do, they had all their eggs in one basket Xbox Game Pass. That gamble (Xbox Game Pass) obviously didn't pay off in the end. Hindsight I guess.

Re: Marathon Art Director Departs Bungie as the Game Enters Its Final Stretch

DanteDevilHunter

Not a fan of the art style for Marathon but I still might try it after it's launched. The only game's I've played and like in this genre are Hunt Showdown 1896, Division 2 Dark Zone and obviously Arc Raiders. Playing Arc Raiders this morning went to extract and this player says 'Don't Shoot' then tries to kill me. He gets 3 shots into me and then obviously I start shooting and I kill him, he didn't let me finish him off. He had good loot on him too, obviously he thought he could kill me, I don't get it. The 3-round burst assault rifle Arpeggio fully upgraded melts players who try and kill you. It has 60% fire rate fully upgraded 70% with attachments, I love this rifle it's literally melts players.

Re: Yakuza Dev 'Exploring a Solution' for Botched Kiwami PS5 Upgrade

DanteDevilHunter

I didn't have any problems with Yakuza Kiwami 2 Free upgrade or with Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut upgrade price £11.99. But Yakuza Kiwami I cannot upgrade for £1.70 it just has 'Learn More' where the price is meant to be, suggesting I don't own the game which I do. Which can be easily proven by the transaction history. My PS4 version of Yakuza Kiwami also has a new cover. It's been a week a least they've finally acknowledged it publicly, will just have to wait but a least it's getting fixed.
