Now that Rockstar Games has posted the GTA 6 cover art ahead of the game's release, one aspect is attracting a lot of attention: the cover girl. We don't mean Lucia; we mean the girl on the left side of the box art with a can in her hand. We are going to reveal what's known about this character and whether she's based on a real person.

Who Is the GTA 6 Cover Art Girl?

The cover art is the first time we've seen this character appear in the GTA 6 marketing so far, and since she hasn't been in any previous trailers, we can't definitively answer this yet.

GTA games have often had women on their box arts, but it's important to note this doesn't necessarily mean they'll play an important role in the story — or even appear at all. History has taught us the girls on the front cover can sometimes appear in minor roles within the plot, but they're usually not critical to the story.

Who Is the GTA 6 Cover Girl and Is She Based on a Real Person? Guide 2
The cover girls for GTA 4 and GTA 5 didn't appear in the games at all.

For example, the cover girl from GTA 5, the girl taking a picture in a red bikini, doesn't appear in the game whatsoever. It is the same for GTA 4: the girl wearing a red top and licking a lollipop isn't in the game. In fact, in terms of the mainline entries, you'd need to go back to Vice City for an example of the cover girl actually being in the game.

As such, there's a chance the GTA 6 cover girl is purely for promotional purposes — she might not be in the game at all.

So, there's a fairly good chance the GTA 6 cover girl won't be in the game itself, but is she based on a real person? While developer Rockstar hasn't said yet, the Internet believes it's found someone with a very, very strong resemblance.

Gabriela Chiquin, who is an influencer, DJ, and musician from Venezuela, looks a lot like the GTA 6 cover girl. In a number of Instagram posts, she has her hair curled similarly to the cover girl, and wears green clothing. The pictures of her in green are from a few years ago, so they weren't taken in response to the attention she's gotten from the link to GTA 6.

Having caught wind of the similarities, she said in an Instagram post: "I want to thank the entire GTA community for so much love. I never imagined receiving so many messages, comments, and memes." She doesn't actually say whether she is the GTA 6 cover girl or not, however.

The cover girls for its game isn't something Rockstar usually makes a big deal out of, so it's unlikely we'll ever get official confirmation that Chiquin is the actual inspiration for the GTA 6 cover girl. Still, there's a very clear resemblance here, and the Internet managed to make the connection within days.
