Publisher Nacon and developer Rogue Factor have announced that Hell Is Us, the sci-fi action game that refuses to hold the player's hand, has now surpassed the 2 million players milestone.

To celebrate this news, the game has received a pretty major update on all platforms, and it's available to download and install now.

What does it do? Well, it's something I'm not sure I've seen before; the update increases the game's enemy variety.

The unsettling Hollow Walkers are what you're up against in Hell Is Us, and there are various kinds spread across the game's different maps.

With this new update, the bestiary has been expanded with 10 new enemy types.

Details about these new bad guys haven't been disclosed, presumably to force you to learn how they work yourself. A few of the new enemies are shown in the above trailer, though they're not particularly easy to describe.

Basically, if you're playing through the game again — or coming in fresh — there will be a bunch of new threats in your way, varying up the combat even for veterans.
