@B0udoir you assume Take Two are actually interested in making games anymore. They seem more concerned with microtransactions in GTA V probably the worst entry in the series.

Just buy the games. Most of these are dirt cheap.

Who would sign up to this lol. Yakuza, Mafia and Sleeping Dogs are all better games.

Crash Bash is awesome. Despite all the iterations of Mario Party and Mario Kart , I still find Crash Bash and CTR superior.

Gamepass isn't much better. I've looked at it before for PC. Almost all the same games as ps plus extra except for some day1 ms games. Which generally just means more and more Halo and Forza.

Just wait for them to inflate the price Netflix style.

It's not pay to win, but this promotes pay to not grind. I am glad I didn't pick this game up day 1/pre order and waited for the dust to settle. Still remember getting screwed buying GT7 day 1.

Maybe it's best if those complaining just use RPCS3 or actually just buy a PlayStation.

@Northern_munkey you can buy a pcie4 ssd but most pc gamers don't have them installed alomg with a 10+ tflop gpu and compatible motherboard. So the investment value of porting to PC is limited at this time if you design your game around using pcie4 ssd on ps5. Same for Ratchet and Clank.

The graphics of the day are very intertwined with the feel of RE4 and Silent Hill 1.

However, Silent Hill 2 looks much easier to remake and maintain the feel of than RE4. I'm actually far more excited for this one.

Don't see the issue. If it runs it runs, it might not be optimal but if more people can play the latest games and save money power to them.

Who gets spoilers? You have to actively seek them out. I only use youtube to seek out how to beat a boss. Don't see why Atlus need to restrict this.

Couldn't care less about self absorbed Twitch Streamers. I don't even have a Twitch account so I don't see their spoilers.

Atlas also are hypocritical the p3-5 animes basically tell the whole stories of these games. Massive spoilers in them.

I don't know why they called it GT 7. It's more like GT Sport 2. The offline campaign is lackluster and many of the old circuits are still missing and am yet to see an update with any of them. For starters where is Apricot Hill, Tokyo R246, Clubman, Special Stage 5&11, Autumn Ring or Grand Valley?

Still I love playing GT4. That is still one of the best racing games ever made. I have just started revisiting it.

Don't see a problem. The PS5 is still very expensive and its architecturally similar to a PS4, so easy to scale between. Also Capcom have to make it run on the Series S anyways. So they my as well make it run on the PS4 too.

Neither Sony or Capcom make much money from console hardware. They are more interested in selling games to as many people as possible. And I don't see what's so wrong with that, considering the console architecture.
It's AMD and TSMC who are the main beneficiaries of the high console prices.

Gran Turismo 7 is a terrible game thanks to this "live service" strategy. Lacks single player, expensive cars and lacks the original circuits. Basically GT Sport 2 with more expensive cars. So of course I am worried. I enjoy the Single Player in GT the most.

Agree I don't care about "free games" just make the multiplayer free again.

Barely ever can be bothered to go onto PSN and add them to my library each month.

Most of the time everything they giveaway for free is already pretty cheap to buy anyway or I already have it.

Higher PS Plus Tiers or Gamepass? Pfft.. Just a convienent avenue for kids to ask for parents for a subscription too instead of asking them to buy new games for them or waiting for their birthday/Christmas.

Big woop, also all the PS1-3 stuff is better played on PC via emulator anyways.

Though multiplayer itself is mostly overrated on console anyways IMO. Hence, I've recently disabled autorenewal.

GT Sport/7 hand out too many incorrect penalties and first person shooters and RTS games are fundamentally better on PC anyways and who wants to play endless rounds of Fifa?

I can understand why some from the online sim racing still can like it. It's similar to GT Sport. But for others who just liked the single player experience GT1-6 it lacks so much. Where is all the original circuits like Grand Valley or Autumn Ring? We only get Deep Forest and Trial Mountain.

And yeah online requirement when I don't really care about online rankings, nations cup, and only really are interested in maybe custom lobbies occasionally. Build some integrity checks in and stop being lazy PD if you care so much.

Apart from Crash and Spyro and possibly Tony Hawk can't really see what this being so bad for my personal gaming experience on Playstation.

Most Activision-Blizzard games I would play on PC over console. And really apart from Warcraft III and Starcraft II and the Crash and Spyro remakes nothing really interests me that Activision develops.

Call of Duty is just the same game over and over again each year.

If anything I see it as an improvement! No more of Bobby Kottik's microtransactions!

Just have PS4 and PC. Just play any decent ActiBliz titles on PC.
Really this move by MS is a good thing as ActiBliz games sucked and were responsible for too many microtransactions.

@Wazeddie22 agreed played it on PS3 with a borrowed copy and it wasn't that great. GTA IV was much better and frankly there are actually other great series like Yakuza or sleeping dogs that have produced better titles like Yakuza 0 I have been playing recently.

Reality check, GT sport ain't going to PC. They want everyone playing PlayStation. Yes it's been postulated back in 2001 to port gran Turismo but it never happened cause it's one of Sonys most profitable games.

@Shirayuki Yeah also the PS3 emulation is also only getting better with RPCS3 anyways. I can now play most of the good stuff. PS1 is better emulated with ePSXe than on the PS2 or PS3.

PSP emulation also works well and a vita emulator will be available soon too.

With coronavirus lurking rather than worrying about this just stay home and play video games folks.

@nessisonett Game Freak are not owned by Nintendo, they co-own the Pokemon IP and the Pokemon Company with Nintendo and also Creatures Inc which does a lot of the spinoffs like Pokemon Pinball or Puzzle League.

Guess that is why they largely continue to bet the house on Pokemon despite being technically an indie studio. If things hit the fan at Nintendo guess they have leverage with Creatures Inc to move it all over to Sony.

It's frankly really simple, I used to play N64 a lot as a kid at friends house while I had a ps1. While it was cool at friends house and made me feel like wanting that's because a lot of the library is made up of party games like Mario karts and smash Bros. Which I realised when I got a wii like many others after the hype. With large storage space it becomes easy to create long lasting single player games.

While the tv consoles are fun with friends over back in the real world I don't hold house party's very often.

Games like ff7, parasite eve, gran Turismo or persona actually had longevity for single player.

Handhelds have worked for Nintendo because the storage requirements to create great single player experiences is less. Ironically Sony with PSP and vita really screwed this up with expensive memory cards.

Fortunately for Nintendo with the Switch they seem to have come up with a hybrid console model which is competitive for the smartphone era that works for them and isn't a one hit wonder model like the Wii.

@Fred_Red well there is certainly always PC emulators for ps1-3. Rpcs3 has come a long way and plays most of the good stuff on PS3 well now.

Apart from rumours from niche internet forums on a PS1-3 emulation mode in the OS that have been reported nothing should be considered true just yet.

@VGScrapbook yeah I'm not sure why some hate some games not being 100% exclusives. Just another avenue to purchase for me to be honest.

I have Tomb Raider and Valkyria Chronicles on PC and I just bought Rise of the Tomb Raider, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Valkyria Chronicles 4 on PS4.

@BrettAwesome Okay I can agree with that. They were good games (although I preferred GTA IV over V) and wish Rockstar would focus on new GTA games rather than GTA Online and micro-transactions.

I bought the latest COD just to have something to play with my bro but I hated lugging over the cash and have only loaded it up a grand total of 3 times. Playing online was extremely bland. It also takes up ridiculous amounts of disk space. (Like 160 GB wtf) and I had to delete games I like from my HDD to make room for it just to make room for Trump supporter CEO Bobby Kottick's over the top military glorification junk.

I'm more into e.g. the XSEED translations of Legend of Heroes Trails in the Sky, Cold Steel, Toxyo Xanadu ex+, also Final Fantasy, Yakuza, Persona, Valkyria Chronicles and many of the VITA titles available on PS4/PC. I would really like a new handheld definitely.

@SirRealDeal Meanwhile there is PAX. Open to public, Sony are there and indies get better coverage and popularised by people actually playing the games rather than just press journalists and call of duty and battlefield streamers/youtubers who don't care.

PAX will become the new and better community oriented E3. Which will be great.

Screw E3, PAX is far better and open to the public.

Don't go to the elitist E3 go to the PAX events instead and let everyone attend and make it a big social event.

That would make it worth it. E3 is just a time for a press-conference and sometime for journalists to feel good about themselves attending something "exclusive".

@Rockzlee11 Ya I was going to not renew but then got auto renewed. I just don't see the benefit. I'm personally just not an online gaming fan on console.

This is not bad deal this time IMO with Uncharted but they will never give you the most popular latest games cause they want you to buy them!

If I play a game like GT Sport online I almost always get penalties for people ramming into me and then there is the competitive automatchmaking which to me I find removes the social element of it.

I like games where I don't have to worry about rank or ELO. At least with the older games on PC with community servers I get that and no subscription fees.

So much negativity sigh. Still better games than PC box.

Yakuza 0. Great game. Never played Yakuza games but it's fun and really interesting.

Never played a Shenmue but seems reviewers like polygon and vg24/7 don't like it but many gamers do. Apparently it lacks in the reviewer eyes modern gameplay mechanics. Never heard such a stupid argument. And maybe some of those modern mechanics are things many gamers actually don't want but big publishers like ea and Ubisoft push on everyone. From my point of view from what I've read the game on paper is great. I'll be buying all three games.

@TheBuzz That is one possibility I was thinking. Maybe its meant to be high bandwidth external storage.
