Not someone I could picture in the role but I can't judge until I see how it goes. As iconic as the character is the series has never been known for compelling stories. I don't think any of the attempts so far have been particularly great but would love if someone can finally achieve it.

Get ready for ridiculous expectations/predictions over the next few days followed by frustrations when it's not those things.

I tried the demo for a couple of hours and stopped when I moved in the vehicle to a second area but never felt compelled to go back and play more/finish the demo.
I can't say I enjoyed the combat. I possibly didn't give it enough time to gel but I found the R1 timing thing to recover some health gimmicky.
I like the idea of following directions/clues instead of map markers but found it quite superficial in the demo. The first two examples were following wind chimes on trees and another with signs on trees. When the areas were fairly linear anyway. This may very well be just easing you into it early though to give you the idea of it.
Overall I thought it was fine but didn't leave me wanting to play more. Possibly playing a bit longer it might have hooked me more but maybe it's just not for me. I appreciate them doing the demo though, it generally shows confidence in your game to do one.

PlayStation Access has a video of the gameplay of this demo. They mentioned they were allowed to show 10 minutes of their gameplay so I’m guessing there are other channels probably able to do the same.

@pharos_haven Exactly. I'm certainly hooked. It would be great if it has a compelling story, as much as I love most of the series the stories have always been kind of a cheesy mess.

@Scottyy yes it would be good if they redid all those old ones to have all the games in this modern style. Maybe if they keep doing well they will continue to work through them.

It's looking really good. For some reason as Grace's mum was from an earlier Outbreak game I mistakenly thought she was dead. I suppose the Outbreak games are a gap in my Resident Evil knowledge.
There is a Capcom specific event soon isn't there? Might get even more info/footage then.

Also half the presenting time seems to be telling us what we just saw then what we are about to see. Pretty much redundant information

About the same level as Gamescom every year.

Seeing as I don't work for Rockstar it's impossible to tell. Maybe if we don't start seeing more in-depth gameplay reveals near the end of the year/early next we can start to expect a delay.

We'll probably just see the footage that game journalists saw at Summer Game Fest. That's fine if that is the case but any new info would be cool.

After BG3 I'm excited for whatever it is.

This happened to me about a decade ago (or more). When I got my PS4 I gave my PS3 to my brother. A little while later I switched to a Witcher avatar I got for free on PS4 but decided shortly after I wanted to switch to my more unique PS3 one. I wasn't able to find it on my PS4 and had to get my brother to log in as me back on the PS3 to find the purchase and switch it back. I've kept it ever since.
So I think this might have always been the case if the avatar was purchased on a PS3.

Looks like some well thought out improvements over the original. I'm looking forward to it.

I'm fascinated that anytime there are multiple questions on a post, fewer people answer each extra question. Do people get disinterested that quickly?

Fingers crossed they make something great. I'm eager for a new Sci-fi epic.

I've often thought a football game where people could play proper positions in a full team could actually be interesting but as @ThomasHL points out it would require an actual organised group to do it properly.
I suppose that's why the smaller teams make more sense. When I used to play Rocket League with a few mates one of us would always play as 'goalie'.

Turns out it was an announcement for a cast meet & greet type event.

I was quite intrigued until I discovered it was Call of Duty.

Most of what is known about the studio and game is certainly interesting to me but the footage of combat seemed a little off to me. Still, I'll wait until seeing proper unedited gameplay closer to release to make any judgement.

I wonder if the whole game is played as Grace or if they are going to throw in some OG characters if we're returning to Racoon City. I'm glad it seems to be third person.

First 1 hour 55 mins was dire but 10/10 for the final 5.

Whilst there didn't end up being much I'm personally excited for it was a great selection of quality games shown.
Hopefully Geoff has some great stuff in a few days.

Highly impressive demo. Actual gameplay will obviously have to make some sacrifices but i don't have a doubt at all that it will still look stunning.
Fingers crossed CD Projekt Red have taken the learnings from Cyberpunk to become an highly efficient developer and it's not too long before we see the final product.

I actually think it might be the show to see a new Resident Evil game ( 9 or Remake). I'm not going to get my hopes too high but the timing seems right.
I would love to see what Corey has been working on but not sure if that's ready for reveal yet.

This game is going to show what is possible when you throw time and almost endless money to talented developers.

Level of detail and animations are crazy. They even put a Playstation controller in there 2:10 for Sony.

Isn’t the current state of rumours that 9 and a remake of Zero are the games in production.
I hope we hear about one of them soon.

I wonder if Sony tried to get marketing rights to GTA VI and Take Two made them do the marketing for Borderlands as well as part of the deal.

@AverageGamer yeah someone mentioned in the Youtube comments that this era allows you to have jedi(s) in your squad which would make no sense during the original trilogy era.

Being Clone Wars era is a slight dampener for me but otherwise I'm extremely interested in this. I love X-com and thought a Star Wars themed version would be good years ago.

Good timing. I've been holding off my second 'evil' playthrough for this patch as I had plenty other things to play. I'm part way through Veilguard but when I'm done I'll have finally managed to get my backlog down to just a few PS + games I might play.
Looking forward to returning to this world and seeing some different outcomes.

I've been doing the occasional survey for The Playstation Owners Forum. Just did one similar to this but much shorter. It was basically 'which consoles do you own?', then 'how likely are you to purchase a Switch 2?' and finally giving a reason for your answer to the previous question. That was it.

It's a strange one for sure. Seeing as it is a list of characters it would seem safe to assume the hidden slots are also characters. If it were for anime characters surely the ones from the first one would already be on there? Adding new characters to the game like they did with Phantom Liberty seems like too large a task for an outside studio to implement.

Very odd. Having only recently got around to a second playthrough to do the PL expansion I'm certainly curious to know more.

@graymamba I'd be another who would love that. I get why they went with 1st and I still enjoyed it but I much prefer 3rd. I would almost always ride bikes for a chance to see my V.

Quite surprised to hear The Witcher Remake is still in the concept phase. I could have sworn I first heard about this being made a few years back and would be shocked you could spend a couple of years figuring out a remake.
Oh well, I was kind of hoping that it might release before the Witcher 4 but that doesn't seem likely going by this news.

Another person who purchased Robocop in the sale a few weeks ago. Oh well.
They are probably hoping enough people try it and enjoy it that they might buy the upcoming DLC.

I was just on PSN Profiles a little while ago. Anyone want to guess what the most played game by members was.

I wonder how the list would look if you could count reposts of videos from big gaming sites like IGN and Gamespot? Views for big games could feasibly be being spread over different channels whereas if FNAF is only being posted by Sony it's views are concentrated in one place.
I don't know this is happening of course, maybe FNAF just is very popular. Or garners a lot of attention at least.

A very tough choice between Witcher 4 and Intergalactic. I gave my vote for the latter in the end as it's great to see something new from ND, especially in the Sci-Fi genre.

Must admit I really didn't think they were going to go with Ciri as the player character. Great trailer though and will eager to see how it plays out.

Looks like they are going to ignore 2 of the possible endings to 3 though.

Another recommendation for Alien Dark Descent from me. I liked Isolation and Fire Team Elite but DD was the best for me. It does a really great job of recreating the atmosphere of Aliens and the constant feeling of being potentially overrun. Turrets are your best friends people.

I've always planned to go back and do an 'evil' playthrough. I imagine they should have this out by the time I get around to it. I look forward to going through this great game again with the new stuff.

GTA 6 is going to help shift a lot of consoles. I think Sony studios are going to start being ready to release their big generational games from next year as well. The PS5 could end up outdoing the PS4, especially if they can find a way to cut product costs.

This is bizarre! I could of sworn they made this statement about being in 'full production' earlier in the year.
Great news either way.

I don't think I've seen her do enough different roles to say whether this could be good or bad but would not pre-judge.
I just think the IP is well known enough that why not try and discover some new talented young actress to fit the role rather than finding a 'famous' person who might work.

If I were pick from known actresses, I think Kaya Scodelario or Sophie Cookson could be interesting choices.
