Lucasfilm Games and Arcanaut Games have announced Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, a spiritual successor to the classic RPGs Knights of the Old Republic. Check out the trailer above.
Casey Hudson, the game director of Knights of the Old Republic and the original Mass Effect trilogy, is leading the making of the game.
No target platforms have been confirmed yet and development is still early, but here's the full setup:
Developed by Arcanaut Studios in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games, Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic is a new single-player narrative-driven action RPG and spiritual successor to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
Led by Casey Hudson, Game director of the original Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic and the Mass Effect trilogy, the team of veteran game developers and storytellers at Arcanaut Studios is crafting an epic interactive adventure across a galaxy on the brink of rebirth where every decision shapes your path towards light or darkness.

Oh hell yes. I remember playing the original way back in the early 2000's I believe? Loved them.
My new #1 most wanted game. Literally bought an Xbox back in the day just to play the original two games.
I hope Disney doesn't interfere though. They've been either doing that, or just hiring the worst writers around since they took over.
