Well Sony is on the list of developers/publishers in the show so why not this. A quick teaser with a date and saying more to follow soon. Get everyone talking about a Sony game at a mixed event then put out a SoP in a month or two for the full blow out.
The precedent has been set with Horizon doing the date at one of these.

While I do very much miss the excitement of having lots of game reveals in a space of a few days there is no doubt it's demise is for the benefit of the developers. The time and effort that went into producing the vertical slices of polished gameplay for a specific date each year must have been a pain. Now they can reveal stuff whenever it happens to be ready for public showing.

How much notice do people need to buy something? I can easily see an August or even very early September release date reveal if it's coming out in November.

@Voltan I liked the first movie, I've not yet seen the sequel. I think the series is worth checking out, I enjoyed it.

@Voltan I recently watched Pacific Rim: The Black made by Netflix and think that style could work well with Horizon. You're right that to do it well in live action would probably be extremely expensive.

I've certainly been finding myself looking for more chilled relaxing games to play alongside the big games. Looks interesting.

If it had been just the first quote I was thinking he could have meant second game (not necessarily DS related) but the next quote is pretty unambiguous.

Wouldn't be surprised if they are planning on trying to get it ready for when the third Netflix series launches (which I think is near the end of the year) for the extra exposure to the franchise as a whole.

I brought Mutant Year Zero as I absolutely love the X-Com games. However I hit a massive wall about an hour into the game and just couldn't progress and although planned to give it another shot I've yet to get back to it. I'll be curious to see how this one develops as I really liked the element of exploration between battles.

Top Spin 4 would be a remaster I would buy in a heart beat.

It would be nice to finally take the game out of the wrapper. I still hold out hope they can turn this game around and regain some reputation.

@Voltan that's pretty much all I want to know before starting a game. Missable trophies can be a pain.

It seems quite sensible to have a team of devs that can be easily moved from project to project to help other Studios meet deadlines.

It would be really nice to be genuinely be surprised by something new that hasn't been rumoured or leaked for a change.

I feel like it seems to be forgotten sometimes that the whole studio was working on RDR2 until the end of 2018 (5 years) with supposedly plenty of crunch.
If an extra year or two is needed to truly innovate and avoid crunch I'm all for it.

After picking A Plague Tale Requiem, I’m struggling to pick anything. That’s how little I’m excited for.

Went for GoG and Avatar as they have potential but definitely need to see/know more on both.

Impressed enough to keep an eye on it. Curious to see how in-depth the choice system goes.

It made me think I've got to stop bothering to watch these things live and just catch the highlights. It was well produced but had little of interest to me personally.

I thought I seemed to have a lot of money in ME2 from carrying over my character. I've purchased every item from every vendor and barely dented my money.

@Wiggo I got it form 'The Game Collection'. To be fair it's the only game that turned up early of the handful I've brought from them so the odds are pretty slim it will happen again. Still their prices are good and the reward points mean I knock a few quid off every other game I get.

I hope my physical copy turns up a day early like ME Legendary did. This will probably be like Miles Morales and after it's initial opening sales will keep yo-yoing back up the charts.

Amazon UK has dropped to £32.85. Just topped up from there.

Hoping there will be a decent Collectors edition for this one, day one for sure. I'm fairly confident it will come this year, I think Sony is just playing very safe with giving out release dates until the games are practically done so they can be confident it will hit that date.

I still think we'll get some form of 'E3 style' stream in either June or maybe July. Even if a lot of it comes from showing mostly third-party deal stuff that they can link to Sony. I think a first teaser for the God of War sequel is very likely if it's about a year at most away.

Sony have definitely settled on this 10pm Thursday slot for SOPs which unfortunately is just when I start work. Oh well my first watch will have to be on my phone on my break.
This bodes well for a release sometime in the next few months. Can’t wait.

I attempted the hardest difficulty trophy for ME2 as it was the only trophy I didn't have. It was tricky but I managed it but no trophy popped. So I double checked the trophy and realised I had set to hardcore and not Insanity. Couldn't bring myself to do try it all again but this time even harder.
I'm up for giving it another go this time with this edition.

I was going to get it at some point but maybe not day 1 but the latest trailer/state of play has swung me. Pre-ordered a little while ago.

Looks like my copy is staying the wrapper for a lot longer then. I've plenty of other stuff to play. I think they clearly want to make sure this patch makes a obvious and significant improvement to the game.

@leucocyte @redd214 yeah I've seen hints on Twitter about this and the fact it's supposedly out next month with no digital pre-order and apparently no planned physical release it has some credibility. It would be awesome for Plus owners if true.

@Daleaf Having also never played one until starting it a few days ago I'd definitely say give it go. Rift Apart prompted me to try it out and I'm really enjoying it.
I'd recommend to anyone to pick it up and play it.
