Re: Insane Space Marine 2 Support Will Extend into a Third Year of Updates

AtlasLivesAgain

@StitchJones There's a total of 12 co-op missions maps now. The siege maps might have more than at launch, but I actually don't know. I know that they added more enemy types (1.0 just had Tyranids iirc) and a couple classes. If you didn't find it gripping before, you'll probably not get much more out of it now, but worth a redownload if you want to try a few new things and enjoyed it at all.

Re: Study Claims Sony's PS5 Games Are Leaving Big PC Sales on the Table

AtlasLivesAgain

@KeanuReaves I think that's just because more people own ps5s than good PC builds. RE is the most popular horror franchise by far, so more casual gamers will pick up a new RE release on console. I also, think that Nintendo still had a bit of stigma as the "Kiddy console", so the majority of the demographic (18+) would have chosen to pick it up on ps5 (Since Xbox isn't very popular).

Re: Naughty Dog Embraced Crunch Culture After The Last of Us, as It's 'What It Takes to Make Games at Our Level'

So, if it's mentioned a lot, it seems people lose any empathy for the subject. If they are told AFTER a project starts they will NEED to work a lot of overtime, that's not fair, a letter of recommendation or not... Chances are that word would then get around (Maybe in that letter) to any potential new jobs and those developers may not hire them (Could say that's a bullet dodged, I guess). Are we saying there aren't tight schedules in other industries? Nope, but any place of work that demands it often shouldn't be accepted. Hire more staff.

Re: PS Plus Essential Games for April 2026 Announced

AtlasLivesAgain

This is a solid line up for me. I gave the og Lords of the Fallen a go on ps4 and always wanted to try this one. I also have most of the SAO series, but not this one (Which is getting a hefty offline mode update) and Tomb Raider 1-3 remastered with a free camera is about the only way I'd wanna go back to those games, so an all around win for me.

Re: Rumour: Fallout Project, Possibly Remasters, Teased by Surprise Developer

AtlasLivesAgain

@LikelySatan I'm not convinced, it was highly desired. Afaik, they didn't do all that much work on that game because the framework was already there from the team that built THPS 1+2. They make good 2D games and can tack on new graphics (AI can easily help with that now), but nothing for ground up projects or serious coding. Of course, they might have been putting in the work to get better or hiring new staff, but we have yet to see.

Edit: Seems they have also done a number of ports, but some of those have a bad rep. Personally, I can only spear for Diablo III on Switch, which is a favourite of mine. They also supported development of Enslaved, Bipnic Commando, Bioshock 2, Sleeping Dogs and Arkham Games on ps3 which are all good, too. Can't be sure on how much of those games are their credit, though.

Re: Rumour: Fallout Project, Possibly Remasters, Teased by Surprise Developer

@themaladroit Interesting, I'm actually playing through FF12 ZA right now and it is really good. I think Return to Arkham ended up really great as well (at least when I finally played the collection), but I do know it was a mess on first release. I haven't ever looked at the first two you mentioned, though. Checks not everything they do is good, but afaik they haven't left anything out like the THPS 3+4 remake.

"but we suppose it's much more exciting to think that Iron Galaxy is actually going to be the team behind the long-rumoured Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas remasters."

Not really, THPS3+4 was poor and they couldn't implement free roam. Rumbleverse was also ill-fated for a reason. Virtuos would have been a safer bet, but I suppose Iron Galaxy might be able to accomplish a remaster or two, though.

Re: The Simpsons: Hit & Run Studio Returns, and Fans Are Hopeful for a Remaster

AtlasLivesAgain

@Almost_Ghostly Yep, I guess you were talking about how there are a lot remakes remasters on all consoles/PC. Personally, I've never heard of a remaster/remake that didn't look like a decent overhaul (Minus the bad job cases such as Silent Hill collection or Kingdoms of Amalur), so I personally feel it's not bad to do these. My only exception would probably be The Last of Us Part I when it already had a remaster... That was a waste of time.

Re: Arguably the Worst Final Fantasy Game on PlayStation Turns 20 Years Old

AtlasLivesAgain

Around 17 years ago, I did a temporary trade with this game for Legend of Dragoon on ps1 and the guy never gave my game back, so you bet that I took the time to complete it... I remember it being pretty boring in places but it wasn't too bad. I remember the intro and the bit in the white-ish looking building being quite interesting actually. I also remember a section with a grappling hook in like an old factory which I found terribly boring... But, that's two good memories vs. one bad one.

Re: Razer Boss Lashes Out at Gen AI, But Says Gamers Would 'Love' AI to Streamline Dev Cycles

AtlasLivesAgain

I was going to go with the second option from the top, because it's POSSIBLE that AI could write code faster, BUT most often right now, you need humans to basically examine everything AI writes anyway and I have no doubt that you'd probably need to re-write some of it regardless. If you just left it to it's own devices, you'd get a mess no doubt. Regardless about the efficiency of that part, though, no gen AI should be included.
