Dying Light

Dying Light franchise developer Techland has reportedly cancelled two unannounced games, resulting in a loss of 130 million Polish złoty (~£26.3 million / $36 million).

The claim comes from Polish outlet Puls Biznesu, where it's said the monetary losses are attributed to "our decision to discontinue further work on two projects". The two titles weren't formally announced, as next month's Dying Light: The Beast is the only project Techland currently has made public.

However, it did confirm back in 2022 that it was working on a fantasy RPG with staff recruited from CD Projekt RED. At the time, Techland said it wanted to create a "brand new IP that is vastly different from what we have been doing for the past several years. We want to create a fully next-gen experience."

This fantasy RPG isn't officially confirmed to be one of the two cancelled projects, but it is the only thing that the Polish company has revealed it has had in the works besides Dying Light for a number of years.

The studio's next game, Dying Light: The Beast, is scheduled to release for the PS5 on 22nd August 2025, but you can prepare for the game ahead of time by redeeming Dockets Codes to earn free loot. Check out our All Dockets Codes page for more information:
