@AdamNovice the Bungie acquisition happened after Activision acquisition was announced. Sony acquired bungie for their expertise in live service, but was also afraid they were about to lose COD.

I think not only are they going to show it but release it in beta that day.

@get2sammyb Jim and Herman Hulst bad decision making. When Microsoft bought Activision it really scared them. They wanted expertise in live service but they should had just created a new internal team and just head hunted the best talent to fill it. Would have saved them billions.

@Balaam_ true but I think the pro appears more to die hard PS fans who already have the base console but want the upgrade.

Crazy they're advertising it with games 4 years old in horizon forbidden West and god of war Ragnarok, both great games, but still just shows how their output was this gen.

I'm predicting Xbox removes the subscription requirement to play online. Their new system is going to have multiple store fronts so people would just get multiplayer games on steam to not have to pay to play online anyways so Microsoft looks like the good guys with the announcement even though it was a given.

Make sense, you want to give people a reason to buy your system, but with live service you want a big of a player base as possible.

Not surprising, shocked that they didn't increase it for all tiers and subscribers, but probably using it to keep people subscribed.

You all should do an article on what studio would be best for each of the ips. Would love to see some indie studios get ahold of some of these games to make smaller games like gow sons of Sparta.

@themightyant same thing you said about fanboys using sales as bait, like why isn't helldivers 2, marathon, or even Saros on the list? People can use any data to try to start fights online.

Would like to see them do what capcom does with their games and give updates sales numbers each quarter next.. curious to see where some of the first part numbers are at.

@Llamageddon game looks like it will be the deep down of this gen.

My prediction is wolverine gameplay, marvel tokon new characters shown, kena 2 release date, big reveal will be Cory's new game, new ps plus announcements (hopefully the old goes), the fight stick price and release date probably with tokon. New idie games and third party game show. Also Saros might get a co-op mode dlc or something.

Don't think switch will even sale 2 million this fy, saw that they're raising the price of the switch 1 in Japan on some of the models and that will slow the sales in their most dominant market.

After last season, there's no real hype for me. Looking forward to twisted metal season three more.

Really don't understand why so many people are complaining. I've started the game yesterday and really enjoying it..games come in all different sizes and forms. Not all games are gameplay focused.

2028 at the earlies. with the high cost of developing games now you know cross gen will last a lot longer since they need to sell alot fo copies so the motivation to even upgrade once the ps6 does come out will be low.

Bummer they only add one premium game a month so many great first party games are missing like gow series, rest of the jak games, and ratchet and clanks ps2 games.

Only worms game I played was the multiplayer one what was free on plus around the time PS5 launched, was actually a lot of fun.

@Matroska in all fairness forbidden West sales were hurt by it being added to ps plus after just one year.

We'll see the next reveal at the next state of play and final reveal probably at summer game fest.

Also like I said was on the fence and this just gave me a push. People have to make the choice on their own though, to each their own
