If you’re looking to upgrade your audio experience for GTA 6, Sony has confirmed that it will launch its new revamped PlayStation Pulse headset alongside Rockstar’s highly anticipated game on 19th November.

Pre-orders will open on PS Direct next week, from 10AM local time on 29th October. The PS Blog also mentions that you’ll be able to purchase from “participating retailers” – presumably Amazon, Best Buy, et al.

The headphones will cost $99.99/£89.99/€99.99, so they’re somewhat steep, but roughly in the range of what I’d expect for a product like this.

If you missed the announcement earlier in the year, this is a revamped version of Sony’s previously released Pulse Elite headset, with larger planar drivers for denser, more accurate sound.

The headset features PS Link connectivity with compatible devices like the PS5 and PS Portal, as well as general Bluetooth support for everything else. It also has an integrated mic with AI-powered noise cancelling for communication.

It’ll be available in standard White or Midnight Black colourways, and pre-orders for both options will open on the abovementioned dates.

A second, pro-tier headset named the Pulse Edge, with a detachable boom mic and more accurate planar drivers, will release in 2027, but is expected to cost a lot more.

Are you planning to pick up the new Pulse headset at all? What kind of audio solution do you currently use for your PS5? Let me know below.
