The third version of Arizona Sunshine, which will be completely stripped of any VR support, will be one of the PS5 titles that kicks off 2027, now dated for 21st January 2027.

Originally a PSVR effort on PS4, which was then remade for PS5's dead headset PSVR2, Vertigo Games is trying once more with a third version that plays like a standard PS5 experience with a third-person camera. It's available to pre-order now for £19.99 / $24.99, but PS Plus members can get a 20% discount up until the game releases.

As far as I can tell, there does not seem to be any kind of upgrade option for owners of the previous two versions, which doesn't seem particularly fair.

Vertigo Games has at least done some work to rework it for flat screens: you play from a third-person perspective, while the two VR versions were first-person. Also, you don't just pet the dog in this edition; you can play as the dog in co-op.

Both a Standard Edition and a Deluxe Edition are up for pre-order on the PS Store now, with the latter bundling in some DLC packs and cosmetics. Also, pre-ordering gets you 48 hours of early access, so you'd have a touch more time to play it before moving on to Until Dawn 2 later in the month.
