Extremely. After Burning Shores, I cant wait to see what is next.

Sony has become the master on making stunning story driven single player games. One of the big reasons I still game.

1. Jedi survivor (almost done... 😞 trying to drag it out)
2. Zelda Tears of the kingdom

Just Burning Shores and Jedi Survivor have justified my new screen purchase. Art looks fantastic... Love it!

You can get both a PSVR2 + PS5 for the price of a decent headset on PC. And finally something with HDR.

Make a new Colony Wars and WipeOut in VR... Flying and racing - what I use VR on my PC 99% of the time.

They also need to make it PC compatible. Loosing tons of sales.

I had played 1 game in the Japanese top 15 (Hogwarts Legacy) last time I checked.

Everything else seemed to be made by/for people who think Crayola are Art Supplies.

They can let 3rd party target Japan. Sony studios need to keep making the high-end story driven single player games that are popular in the West.

I like story based cooperative shooters. Fun way to spend time with Fam or Friends that moved to other states. Jump on after work for a bit and catch up while blowing stuff up. They were amazing during Pandemic.

Most bang for the buck DLC in ages. It also made my TV pop!, I had no idea my TV could make these colors 😍 Sony did magic with HDR on this one.

Fun Gameplay + Stunning Visuals - studios have zero excuses right now for not hitting the mark on both.

Even at $20.

Yeah, I have so many screenshots of this game. It is stunning.

"The Art of Ghost of Tsushima" is also a fantastic book. You can really appreciate how much talent went into this "game"

Burning Shores already justified my new TV... by the looks of this one, I'm in for another stunning world to explore.

I feel BD-1 is basically a dog. They manage to give it so much character.

I wish they put this much effort and money putting PC GamePass on the SteamDeck.

Royal stuff not for me. But waiting for The First Descendant. Games like Destiny are more my type of format.

Like how people try to pretend stuff like FF14 or paying an extra $55 for battle packs (basically 1 character, outfits and a new Arena) across the years on a $60 fighting game are not GAAS also.

Enjoying what I played of Zelda. FF16 is not on PC so not on SteamDeck - so hopefully Zelda can carry me over for a bit when away from home.

Steamdeck can take a well deserved break after my obsession with Hogwarts Legacy (seems to still be doing well )

Great for Jedi Survivor... love the game. Alternating from Playing it and Watching Clone Wars on Disney+ all weekend.

I got 1 month of EA Play Pro for $14 to play it. Cant really pay full price for everything either.

Hopefully They will have all the fixes out for you by that point.

Nice. Loved it and it is a perfect jRPG to play on my SteamDeck. So great news for my commute.

I finally reinstalled it just to see the visual updates.

The opening horse ride scene is now stunning! Once I hit the bridge and the water I had to stop and look around. Wow, Nicely done.

Not really playing it over, but people jumping in now are in for an amazing ride if everything else look like this. It would be a mistake to play any of the old versions at this point.

Loved RE7 / Village. Amazing to play and beautiful.

Do not care about more rehash like RE4. It does makes me excited for the RE Engine. Use the Demo to benchmark my HDR monitor settings.

Hoping for a new Monster Hunter that pushes the game like MH: World did. You can max out Rise on PC and still looks meh.

Wishing on a new Breath of Fire is hopeless. Obviously it cant compete dollar wise with any of this other stuff.

Using a EA Play Pro for Jedi Survivor, but Tears of the Kingdom and then FF16 are next on my list.

2. Got EA Play Pro this month to play Jedi Survivor... try Wild Hearts and see Dead Space improvements

Worlds, exploring, gameplay, story... all having tons of fun. Over 30hrs in, and really feel like a Jedi.

Playing on PC - so do not have the HDR issues. Did need to use the scaling on Nvidia control panel - FSR2.0 seems to do nothing on my 3080. After 10 hrs and 2nd update everything seemed to settle down.

Went from Burning Shores to Jedi Survivor... super happy camper right now

I had the PC version running on my Steamdeck. Even on low/med it looked pretty good.

Same - mostly need to cut resolution, draw distance and lighting. Still looked pretty good and fun

There were games that ran awful on Ps2, PS3, Ps4 just like ones on Switch. Having 1 option was never a golden age when talking about optimization.

I rather go by history than on a prediction. PS4pro never prevented me from keeping my PS4 for the entire generation. Publisher kept supporting the "baseline" game just fine (they still supporting it today) If anything, the mid gen "enhanced" version is where developers cut corners.

Horizon Burning Shores on my PS5/4KTV is stunning to me. If that is the new baseline game for console play. I see no need to upgrade (Ps5 or TV) any time soon.

"nonstop upgrade path" is up to the consumer.

I never upgraded to a PS4 PRO or a Switch Oled or a 4080 or 13900K. Steam top cards still include 1650s and 1070s. Just because a new part "exists" is not a reason to upgrade for many PC gamers either.

Let consumer decide - no need for an artificial 10 year development ban.

And consoles will continue to exist because of Windows. Microsoft's Mickey-ware still cant reliably "Suspend" a game to this day.

Software development (what games are) does not stand still, neither should the technology that runs it.

Consumers can decide if they want the upgrade or not. They can plan their own "hardware cycle"

Just find the right % off each option like everything else.
